Makeup and Hair by Katie

ATTENTION ALL Unilocal REVIEWERS!!! STOP SEARCHING FOR A MAKEUP ARTIST BC KATIE IS THE ONE!
This review is kind of late b/​c my wedding was about 5 months ago… But I just had to share my experience with Katie. I did a makeup trial with Katie for my engagement 11 2013 and booked her right away for my wedding ¹⁄₂₀₁₄. You know the saying, makeup does wonders? Well its more like, who applies the makeup does wonders… Cause I’ve seen some ugly work on other makeup artist! So, I can honestly say, Katie is the person to go to… From makeup trail to wedding day — Everyone gave me so many compliments b/​c of her awesome work… My husband was really impressed and he doesn’t get impressed that easily… =D
Katie is really easy to work with, especially if she was dealing with me. WHY? Well, I was really picky on how I wanted to look — to the eyes, to the contour, to my lashes and so on… But with all my request — Katie was very sweet and honest on everything… Plus, she doesn’t cake your face with a bunch of makeup, but helps enhance your natural beauty. I didn’t want to look like a porcelain doll on my wedding day and Katie made sure I looked my best… Which was STUNNING and Oh sooo good! Thank you KATIEEEEEEEE!
Before the trial — She asked me to send her pictures of how I want to look, the style of my hair, and how I wanted my eyes to look — Again, I had a certain look I wanted and Katie delivered it all.
FYI — I don’t save vendors cell numbers on my cell phone but I’ve saved Katie’s # on mine b/​c she is just that great… of course, for future photo opts!

Katie did makeup for my wedding photoshoot, I really like how she did my hair and make up, especially eye brown.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t do for my wedding because she was on maternity. It’s not end yet, I go to her every special events. We, women, all want to look pretty and special right. If you do, please go to Katie. She will make you look STUNNING. I definitely recommend to my family and friends.

WHAT A GEM! I went to Katie for a makeup trial and got hair/​makeup done for a photo shoot. She’s amazing… hair/​makeup was flawless.
Katie talent is superseded by few, if any, in the North Bay in terms of makeup and hair. She has an incredible amount of experience. Katie asked numerous questions especially about my daily makeup wear and what kind of look I was hoping to achieve. She is the only makeup artist I’ve dealt with so far who has noticed and corrected my uneven eyelids.
Katie is my number one choice to have as my makeup and hair artist. I would recommend her in a heartbeat though, and if you can book her, do so!
Her work looks absolutely stunning in pictures and in person.

I had my first hair and makeup trial with Katie for my August wedding, makeup coverage was great but too well covered that I looked like a porcelain doll. Eyelashes used were a bit too dramatic and hair was okay – I tried three different hair styles so I couldn’t agree with myself. Overall, I wish it had worked out for me… make up just felt too heavy. It’s just brutal itself in the wedding planning to find the right person cause I ended up doing two more trials (not w/​Katie, refer to my wedding list for info) which required more $$ and trials are usually cash only.

Katie is a talented artist on both Makeup AND Hair. I work with him for many times and I am impressed how she could transform a normal person to an angel! Also she work as a professional MUA, on time and finished perfectly. Highly recommended!

Katie did the hair and makeup for my family portrait picture and I love it. Her make up is so natural and flawless and it gives me a fresh and beutiful look all day long. I didn’t want to wash it off before i go to sleep. She also make my hair exactly the way i want, and it makes me look like a princess. And good thing is she used good quality makeup products, because my skin breakout easily if i used cheap skincare or makeup products. I wish she could do make up for my wedding in 2007, but i didn’t know her at that time. I highly recommend her service to everyone. Thank you Katie!!!
