Jeff is awesome. Super amazing artist. Great memory for people. Met him several years ago and still remembers me any time I walk in. I’ve purchased 2 or 3 works from him. Never disappointed. He does contracted work as well so any businesses looking for an awesome artist to draw in an artistic crowd should hire him

Probably the best(contemporary) art studio in SLO. The artist, Jeff, is always there and always willing to talk to you about his work and his process. He even has done custom pieces for people. Claassen is an amazing person and his studio/store is amazing. There are couches, and A BUNNY, and fun books to read and you can even add your own art into some of his guest books.

Love the art and his t-shirts are stellar. He chose a superior quality shirt and the color options are fit for guys and gals… nothing obnoxious or over the top. Grab a shirt and wear Jeff’s art proudly.

I LOVEJEFF! His art is as vibrant and fun as he is! I am constantly delighted and surprised by what he comes up with. He is consistant, and his style can be spotted from a mile away. I am so proud of him and watching him grow over the years has been so much fun to see! Please stop by and see what he his up to, go to his shows, have a conversation, and buy his art! Keep it up Jeff!

Claassen’s art is great. It’s bright, full of energy and creativity, but is also obviously painted by a talented dude. There are also lots of in-expensive items like greeting cards and t-shirts for people who may want a piece of art, but can’t afford a whole painting yet. Definitely a gem of downtown San Luis! Also– for burgeoning artists, Claassen Gallery sells paints and other supplies, along with pamphlets on how to get started as a street artist!

With all you could ever need in the way of producing art as well as lining your walls with it, Claassen Gallery is a great spot to check out. Various pieces from multiple talented artists line the walls of this gallery and sketch books lay open with blank pages just waiting for you to leave your mark upon them. Really cool art, and cool owner too. Drop by, say hi to Jeff, check out some cool art, and pet the shop mascot a real chill fuzzy bunny!

Jeff is a bad ass! Supporting the alternative art scene in SLO is no small task and he knocks it out of the park! Do your brain a favor and swing by and check it out.

Cool shit. Wait… am I allowed to say that on Unilocal? Story time. I bought myself a case for my iPwn.(iPhone.) It is white. For weeks I would dream of things it resembled. A chicklet! A giant tooth! A cue ball that had been squared off and smushed! A piece of a bowling pin! A mini itty bitty refrigerator! Like a lot of things I own, I hated seeing other people owning it too. What could I do? It was one of the better iPwn(iPhone) cases available, even to this day! Cue Jeff Claassen. I have been a fan since back in the day of MySpace. Ew, right?(Ew to the MySpace part, not the being-a-fan-of-Jeff part. Yay to that part.) I was inspired by the two paintings I own from his gallery, to take the case to him and see what he could do. First came the Facebook message, then came the consultation, then came the finished product in a week’s time! ITISFAAAABULOUS!(Check the pic.) Jeff is great; he’s so easy-going and incredibly talented. I love anything local(as long as it’s good), and here I am, lucky me, getting the best of both worlds.

Jeff is pretty much one of the most awesomest(is that a word?) people you will ever encounter. His creative abilities never cease to amaze. His fun personality shows through into his even more fun art. How he comes up with the things he does, I’ll never know. Personally, I like to compare him to Willy Wonka, but minus creepiness and midgets(but not minus the purpleish eyes, fuzzy hair and trademark hat). My favorite work of his are the prints he mounts on wood and covers in resin. He accurately desribes them as looking like«a yummy piece of shiny candy.» I have several myself and have given many out as gifts, which have always been well received(what isn’t there to love about shiny colorful bits of art?!) The gallery itself is pretty rad, and I wish I lived closer so I could check it out more often. Jeff finds other incredibly talented people to not only share his space with, but to sometimes collaborate with as well. Everywhere in the store are all kinds of fun things, and much like a local bookstore, you could be in there for hours and not see everything.(Oddly enough, if you do happen to check out the local bookstore for a couple of hours, you’ll probably see Jeff there) At any rate, the owner and the store are both top notch. I highly reccommend taking the time out to check it out next time you need some eye candy or something else random and fantastic.

The gallery is very cool, and Jeff is a great guy! He’s come and displayed some of his artwork on campus at hip hop shows we had while I went to Cal Poly. He is very involved in the local art scene and is just a generally friendly, talented person.

I’m not sure when I first stumbled upon this litle gem, but it was back when the shop was quickly outgrowing it’s tiny space on Morro Street. Not only is it fun just to stop in and chat with Jeff(one of the coolest and friendliest guys I’ve met for a long time), but the art that passes through there is amazing! I’ve bought various presents for people, little tiles to decorate my living room, original pieces by other local artists, and an awesome T-shirt. Definitely a must-visit!

I picked up my Gangsta Rap Coloring book a few months ago along with a mini-pin that says«Let’s Makeout.» Let’s not discuss how I have used either item.
