Over priced and not fresh. I ordered the two fish tacos & the bay shrimp salad. I added guacamole for an additiomal dollar for the tacos. The salad was not fresh & had about 25% wilted and rotten lettuce leaves. There were about 20 tiny little shrimp, about 3 small pieces of tomatoes, 2 tiny slices of avacado for $ 10.95. The fish tacos contained small pieces of grilled fish, with too much salt & lemon, cheese(not needed), onion on two stale corn tortillas, all for $ 7.99. Skip this place & go to Splash in Pismo Beach…

Unfortunate that this place closed down. They do a fantastic job in Avila beach and a great store in arroyo grande. Maybe the chefs couldn’t get the food out quick enough

The fish tacos were delicious. But you have to be aware that you are ordering FISH tacos. What I mean is that most fish tacos are made with such mild fish that the taste is nearly imperceptable. These fish tacos taste like fish. And they are packed with fish. They were super delicious. The restaurant itself was small and divey. I’d definetly suggest you give it a shot.

Had some amazing salmon from this place last night. We cooked it on the grill… absolutely perfect. It was thick and fluffy! Definitely fresh and I want to go back tonight to pick up some more fresh fish. Glad I don’t have to drive to Avila anymore!

Tasted like fast food. Blah! The fish taco was totally disappointing. The tortillas weren’t warmed, so the tortilla fell apart(annoying). The fixings were pretty generic, with crappy salsa. Fish and chips had crappy batter that wasn’t crispy, almost soggy. Fish was plain, which at a fish market seems odd. We did a mix with calamari, I assumed that meant tentacles, instead got steak strips. The calamari strips were chewy and when I asked where it was from the cashier showed me a bag of frozen calamari and read the label from Thailand. Again disappointing considering its a fish market. As for being a fish market, you are likely to have more luck at your grocery store.

Here are my favorite foods– smoked anything, bread, soup(including chowders), rice and noodles. So, imagine my giddiness when I saw they serve a smoked salmon chowder… In a bread bowl! I think this place is new, but I’m a fan of this smoked salmon chowder(which I have never ever heard of). All of their food is cooked fresh to order. PS– I almost minused a star for their bathroom, but then I decided not to be that person. But seriously? It needs to be cleaned.

Unfortunately, this place is already gone. Too bad. This is a new restaurant. They opened about three weeks ago. The menu, although minimal, is adequate. We tried the Shrimp tacos and the Fish tacos. They are either grilled or sauteed, not the usual fried stuff. They were quite tasty; two very over-stuffed tacos. They also offer Calamari, Prawns and Chips, Fish and chips, Oysters, Shrimp cocktails, etc. I am hoping for even better things when they stock the fish tank and add to their selections. Nonetheless, as is, it is a very good lunch or dinner. It is in a converted fast food building, but it works fine and has a little more space than when it was fast food. Not a romantic place, but comfy and clean.
