Jim came speedy-quick for an after-hours service call. I was touched by his kindness and professionalism.

Skip helped us out! Sawed off our bent master lock and replaced it with a better model. Also made some extra truck keys. Great fast service. Thanks Skip!

I had a good experience with these folks. They rekeyed a cylinder for about $ 10. They also pointed out how I could have solved my problem even cheaper and more easily if I had gone about it differently. They listened to my explanation of the problem on the phone and were generally helpful and pleasant. I’d definitely go back.

I went here to get a bid for a key. My wife went to have the work done and they raised the price. While she was telling the man that the quote was different than what I had been told, he just walked away from her. Go here if you want to be treated like dirt.

Not a friendly staff but they’ll copy a key for you at a decent cost.

Lost the keys to our Yukon one night at the bowling alley. AAA sent out Security Blanket and it was after 830pm. He showed up on time(they let us know it would take 45 mins for him to get there). He did all the proper background checks on us and the registration. After that, it was only a matter of minutes until we were back on the road with a new key. It took a little while to do all the security checks but I guess that’s a good thing for our protection. A bad situation turned into a good experience.

Long story short, I lost my car keys(which were my only set) and my car was parked in a meter zone in downtown SLO. Worst case scenario! I called them up and within an 45 min Jim opened up my car and made me a brand new key. The best part was it only cost me $ 80 because my key doesn’t have a chip to turn on the ignition. He was very efficient and saved me about a $ 100 dollars. Thanks Jim!

I went into the shop and asked if I could get my key coded because I was ordering a new door knob online and wanted the keys to be the same. I was immediately harassed because of the brand of lock I have, the lady didn’t let me finish asking what I was needing. I had to listen to her rant about the company, and how stupid I was for owning such a lock. When I finally got a word in explaining what I needed she told me a lie, when I asked again, she indicated that she had lied and then refused to provide the code. Unbelievably rude, obnoxious, and shouldn’t be in business.

Key wouldn’t turn in my car’s ignition, so I called the Toyota dealership and a local towing company. Both recommended Security Blanket locksmith to do the work. Over the phone Security Blanket gave me a worst case estimate of $ 200 and the final bill was only $ 80 which was a relief. The work was done where my car was stuck, and was done quickly and professionally and Jim was on time and was willing to explain everything that he was doing to fix it.

If you need a key duplicated these guys have the ginormous selection of key blanks. If you need it and it is the slightest bit odd, you can bet they probably have it. The were very nice to me and got what i needed easily! Enjoy
