I love fish tacos. I had the presidente chicken taco with bacon and guacamole and it was delicious!!! I also ordered the fish tacos and added shrimp. They both were excellent. They were very large portions and inexpensive.

We stopped here on our way back to Dallas From San Antonio. It was super fast(counter ordering), cheap ANDDELICIOUS! Great Veggie Monster Taco on huge homemade corn tortilla for my vegetarian hubby. Breakfast tacos for my 3 kids and The Presidente for me(because fried avocado, y’all)! We fed all 5 of us for less than $ 17. That’s the cheapest AND best we’ve eaten all week while on vacation.(1 taco is plenty big and they range from $ 1.80-$ 4something each) The best part was the salsa bar with 3 fresh salsas, cucumber salad, sour cream, lemons/limes, cilantro, onions, the works!

This place is large and very clean inside. The format is order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. The tacos are very large and have an exceptionally good taste. All of their salsas are freshly prepared and the salsa bar also has fresh sour cream and freshly diced jalapeños. Prices are very reasonable and the staff was friendly making this an exceptional place to enjoy a meal.

This place is like and upper scale Taco Cabana, fresh made corn & flour tortillas. Food was very good, guac tasted fresh made. We got the shrimp tacos — also good had to order and extra one. I also got a tortilla soup which was just ok. Would eat here again, would love to go back for breakfast!

I’ve never been a big fan of Tex-Mex or Mexican, but I have to say that the food here has legitimately changed my mind. It is out of this world good! I haven’t tried anything on the menu that has been less than amazing! Even their salad is like 70% meat! On top of this, their customer service is fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend!

I can’t say much that hasn’t already been said by 138 other reviewers, BUT, being recent transplants from another«Mexican food state»… we were already HUGE fans of Fuego, finding it just a tad different from all the other Tex-Mex places we’ve encountered here. We love them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it’s convenient that they’re open 24⁄7. AMAZING food, gigantic portions, friendly service. This is why we chose Fuego to cater our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner for 50 mostly-out-of-town guests. OMg!!! Our guests — all vastly experienced Mexican food consumers — RAVED about the food… including three professional chefs who were in attendance. It was delicious and plentiful. The employees who delivered it were helpful and professional. And did I mention that it tasted fabulous, and we have leftovers? I think I did. Owner Michael was very easy to work with, and everything about the food at this busy time was worry-free for us. Thank you!

Definitely college stoner food lol(which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). Lets make one thing clear though, this is in NO way Mexican food, despite the name. The interior reminded me of Chipotle. I got the king and the veggie king tacos. The tacos are big. The king taco was really sloppy(like whatever sauce they used was really thick and sloppy and not that flavorful) and you would need to be an intoxicated college kid to appreciate it. However, the veggie king taco was cheaper and tasted absolutely amazing. I can’t remember everything on it but it had a fried poblano pepper, fried potatoes, and guacamole on it. It was the perfect blend of fried and fresh ;) I’ll be going back specifically for that taco again. :)

Came to Fuego with my girlfriend after Jmblya hoping to find a good place to eat while avoiding everyone else from the festival with the same idea as us. This restaurant deserved all of 5 stars. Clean restaurant along with bathrooms. Staff was beyond nice. And the food was excellent with homemade tortillas with each taco. I recommend the«Fuego steak«and«The classic» cannot go wrong with either taco. Great experience and great restaurant I will be coming back on the way home from Austin every time.

Call me crazy but I didn’t think tacos were any good. I ordered one breakfast taco, one«el presidente» and one beef taco, «the King» The breakfast tacos(steak and egg) had an unusual piece of meat in it. Gross. The corn tortilla reminded of a corn crêpe The chicken taco left me gagging. The avocado had an unusual taste to it. The beef taco had so much beans in it and there was another unusual thing in it that tasted like cardboard. Buzzfeed let me down. These tacos are huge to compensate for the lack of flavor but the service was great and the place looks great. Sad. I will never be back.

This place was great! Only flaw I had is me and my wife had to wait about 20min for our food and we had to get back on the highway! However, the food tasted great. The building looked fancy on the inside and out! Me and my wife thought it would be expensive and it wasn’t!

Came in and ordered a Veggie King – and it was a*ma*zing. First off, like all of the tacos at Fuego, one taco will feed you for an entire meal. These things are seriously immense. More important than the size was that it was absolutely delicious. The fillings complemented each other in a way that was nearly perfect: the smooth guacamole was accentuated by the slight acidity of the tomatoes, while the sweet corn and potatoes balanced out the jack cheese with just enough natural sweetness. The fried and breaded peppers mixed in gave the filling crunchiness and a good mouth feel, while the tortilla itself was outstanding. The only possible complaint I could raise is that there was so much in the taco that it was a challenge to keep the filling inside the tortilla. I’ll have to come back and eat everything else on the menu. Seriously good.

Saw a photo of a fish taco in another review and knew I’d be coming back to try it. The breading – I don’t know how they did this– still had crunch in the last few bites despite all the slaw and pico atop the fish and the time I took to eat it. Nice mild burn and perfect tortilla. Two people filled up on two fat tacos & two drinks for under $ 14. That’s pretty great. Enjoyable low-key atmosphere at 9.30pm. Place was clean and quiet and there was at least one employee cleaning something somewhere virtually every moment we were there. Despite the late hour the topping bar looked fully stocked. Bargain, bargain, bargain!

It used to be KFC, I always stop here on the way to San Marcos Outlet. Now even better food! Fish Taco is my all time favorite! I am so used to order«3 tacos» in Austin. I remembered that I wanted to order 3 fish tacos at the 1st time. The cashier looked at me… and said«I think one piece will be enough for you.» lol

Why why why don’t we have one of these in Houston?!? Food was delicious! The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. Location is quite convenient on I-35. Simple menus available upon walk in and the service was awesome… even at 11pm at night. The young lady at the counter was really sweet. AND it’s open 24⁄7!

Hungry, hungry, hippo… you can win me over with great coffee, and nothing beats a cup of Joe at midnight with a taco. Few places carries flavored coffee creamers, and this happens to be one of them. So let’s discuss the real reason for this visit to Fuego today, all the Helpers that wrote the reviews for this place was right. I had an I Chee Wawa, which was a flour tortilla, with queso, fried chicken, guacamole, and crispy Bacon wrapped together. Um um good! Even as it fell apart, I licked my fingers and fed the hungry, hungry, hippo to fullness satisfaction. Mexican rice and frijoles were delightful, but the taco and coffee topped the chart. Best thing is that they are opened 24⁄7 which means your tummy can be satisfied with a taco for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
