Called Marvin’s late in the week about a month ago to access our need for a new ac unit. I had already had a very non-Reliable Air company come out to look. They tried to up sell a ac unit and, as a result, tendered an unbelievable service estimate. Marvin’s guy’s were able to squeeze us in late that very night. They sold us a nice York unit at a reasonable price. They were able to install it the next day! They were professional and hard working. Will definitely use them again. They are also so trusting. Just received the bill, exactly what they said, yesterday.

If you are unsure of what company to use in San Marcos for repair work, or install work — stop, you’ve found the best one! My husband I were in dire need of replacing our 20 year old heat pump. After getting a few bids, We chose Marvin’s based on the following: Professionalism Quote was well prepared and accurate High Ratings & Word of mouth among friends Replacing a huge item such as a heat pump can be stressful, however once we decided to hire Marvin’s it was smooth sailing! We had our quote prepared, equipment was ordered, and the day of install they were on time and got straight to work. David(the owner) is so knowledgeable and kind. He answered every single question I could come up with, and showed me to how use everything. He even showed me on our old unit all the mold and rust on it and went into detail of how this was causing some of the problems we were previously experiencing. To make it even better, David puts together a folder for you that has all your information, and best of all, he has your rebate application paperwork for the city ready to go for you! Working with Marvin’s was a blessing and we will be sure to use them from now on out, and tell our friends/family to use them if they have heating and cooling needs. We are already saving on average $ 2+ dollars a day on electric usage with our new system and going from a home that was always 88 degrees even though the old thermostat said«78» to what 78 degrees actually feels like is like living in Antarctica! To Sum up — Marvin’s will do a stellar job, charge you fairly, and treat you kindly.

Came home Friday to a broiing, hot house. Called Marvin’s at 4; they arrived at 4:15; and by 4:45, the vents were blowing cool air! The repairmen were courteous & professional. And to top it all off, the bill was reasonable!

Quick response, reasonable price, courteous, knowledgeable … Look no further for HVAC service. As long as they are in business, I will use no one else. I recommend them without reservation.

Our central AC unit wasn’t cooling as it should. We called Marvin’s on the advice of our neighbors. It wasn’t an emergency by any means, but David and Farrell showed up later that day. Turns out our condenser showed we can 60 psi of freon, when it should have read 70. They fixed us up in no time and were on their way. The fee was just under $ 100. Fast forward two days. I’m on the phone with a client, when Total Woman waves at me and whisper-shouts, «The air conditioner’s leaking!» Yikes. That does not sound good. It looked even worse. The wooden floor in the hallway was wet, and I saw water dripping from the ceiling. Total Woman called Marvin’s, as I climbed into the attic to mop up the leak. It must have been 130 degrees up there, the kind of heat that dries your sinuses and makes your skin itch. But in about 30 minutes, the AC’s drip pan was bone dry. We also kept the unit off until Marvin’s arrived a couple hours later. This time, David arrived, headed to the attack for a quick look at the unit, and then opened the drain pipe that leads outside. The thing was clogged with algae and minerals and God knows what else. David explained that when these pipes get clogged, water backs up into the unit, and leakage ensues. He shot the pipe with compressed air to force the blockage out and voila, problem solved! But this time, David wouldn’t accept payment, resisting even several attempts to write a check. «We should have cleared that pipe last time we were here,» he told us. Consider us won over.
