Simply put… I love this place. I moved in up the street very recently and I was tired of the Sandwich chain place. I wanted something with more options and Tina’s was just that. I come multiple times a week. Some of them even know me now. Ok, so they have pickled eggs. Sounds weird, right. I thought so too, until the lady at the register gave me one after my curiosity kicked in. Well I walked out with a dozen, they are delicious! Anyway, the sandwiches are great, want to change it up they accommodate well. The menu is extensive and open. Daily specials, today was a French dip and I wanted to go back for a second one! Where else can you get a beer and a sandwich… Beer on tap too! Great local deli!

Their sandwich’s are the best, they are huge, they have great macaroni salad, as well as other things. If you you haven’t tried them yet stop in and for lunch, i think you’ll walk out feeling very happy.

Tina offers a good selection of sandwiches for a decent price and their lobster bisque is pretty good too. This place would’ve been such a gem if it weren’t for some of the staff that works there. A guy that was working there yelled at my sister on the phone while taking her order so she ended up cancelling it. Another staff was a bit condescending when taking my order and instead of asking me nicely what kind of salad I wanted which I mentioned in the first place she kind of just snapped and said«salad?!! We like have 5 kinds of salad!(annoying ass white girl tone) They’re not very friendly and can be kind of rude. Bad service just irks me and I would definitely keep coming back to this establishment but the people that works there just completely ruins it for me.

Love this place! Their breakfast sandwich is addicting. If I get one I know I’ll have to talk myself out of going again the next day for another, and the next day, and the next day. I do wish they’d stay open a little later. But I’m a huge fan!

Depending on where you are or where you are coming from, it’s a bit off the beaten path. But the sandwiches are good and the ingredients are super fresh. I had the cold Italian sub and they didn’t skimp on the ingredients. Everything tasted very fresh. It was good but not terrific. I would order differently next time to try and get a sammie which wowed me. The wife had the turkey and avocado with bacon added and it had lots of good flavor. Her sandwich was better than mine. I didn’t try the homemade pickled eggs or the homemade pasta or potato salad but it all looked good. Next time. Good sandwiches, fresh ingredients, fair prices. It’s not amazing but it’s a local business and not Subway and I’ll happily give them another try.

The sandwiches are really good, but definitely not the best customer service. Grumpy girls that don’t smile.

Awesome place off the beating path. Great sandwiches and soups as well as salads. Sometimes they are busy and it takes a few minutes but worth the wait.

Come here pretty often, great place for a sub, they have beer on tap too which is unexpected but in a good way. They are pretty fairly priced and the wait is never bad. I will say be weary of the boiled eggs, had a bad one one time, I didn’t complain but knowing this business they would have given me a new one if I had.

I am NOT a sandwich person. I always believed only I can make a sandwich the way I like it as I have far too many times been disappointed by delis, restaurants, people and their sandwiches. Not Tina ’ s Deli. We were looking for something different. …a kind of restaurant we don’t usually go to. Read about Tina ’ s and decided to try it. There was no line and the parking lot was not too full so we thought it might not be as great as we read. Wrong. Hands down best sandwich spot we had the pleasure of eating in here in the US!!! Reminds me of the awesome sandwiches we have tried in Japan and the UK. Have ordered Egg Salad, Veggie Deluxe, Turkey Avocado and Hot Turkey Avocado twice… in the past 3 weeks! Great soups as well. Broccoli Cheddar is a favorite!

I ordered he Ultimate torpedo for my first time here. The«works» is lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, mustard, and Italian dressing. I added Sprouts to the sandwich. The amount of meat an cheese is great! The meat tasted fresh and was thin sliced, just how I like it. The produce was fresh, and the avocado spread tasted like It is made in house. The staff was courteous and the location is larger than it appears from the street. The one thing I didn’t like was that the bread was dry. Everything else was great, but the brea was a big let down. I’m guessing it was day old bread from the day before, since I went in early for lunch at 11:00AM. I know that there are delis that use up yesterday bread before the fresh stuff to save money and limit waste. I just wish it wasn’t used on my sandwich.

I recently started working for CSUSM and was looking for great local spots for lunch. My friend took me to Tina’s since it’s one of his fav lunch places. It’s located in an unassuming little area off of N. Twin Oaks – you almost miss it when driving by. And true to great Mom and Pop places, it’s super tiny but packed with loyal customers coming in for their sammy fixes. Both times I’ve ordered their Lite Lunch Combo which comes with ½ a sandwich and your choice of salad, soup, potato salad, mac salad or chips. The first sandwich I had was the Hot Turkey and Avocado. The second time around I had the Deluxe Italian. Both were DELISH and packed with tons of freshly shaven meat – and quite big for only ½ a sandwich. As for the soup, the first was an Italian Wedding soup which was just ok for me. But the Lobster Bisque had great flavor. Over all, I wonderful gem that I’m sure I’ll be visiting quite often over the next few years.

This deli is amazing! My only wish is that it was open later on the weekends! I know, its not a busy time for delis… but I am selfish and when I want a good sandwich I want a good sandy. :) Love supporting local small businesses and this one does not disappoint!

Awesome variety of sandwiches. I’ve had about 5 different sandwiches here and they’ve all been very good. You can make your sandwich pretty much any way you like with the ingredients they have and they have a great variety of ingredients. I really liked the hot roast beef sandiwich and the cajun chicken on a wheat roll. I really like Rubens too but theirs is a bit on the salty side. The service is pretty fast and friendly and the décor is small mom and pop with a slight blue collar feel. Prices are very reasonable too. I’ll definitely go back for a quick bite.
