I’ve since switched to another doctor who gets me. Dr Marcus is a pro at Bipolar disorder — which is great for me having had bozos in the past worsen my condition. The problem is, however, I have other health issues Dr Marcus ignores or downplays. He’d love to fatten me up on lithium and seroquel — just keeps repeating himself like a broken tape recorder«well you are limiting my options because you don’t want to gain weight.» Yeah I am happy with my body ASIS and so are my other doctors.

He is a STELLAR Psychiatrist. He looks you in the face and listens and takes detailed notes and detailed observations to absorb your condition. He asks questions to best help your mental setbacks while there. At your next visit he is prepared with the prior notes/information to determine if any modifications to meds are needed. He spends the time that one with special needs deserves. I’ve had doctors since 1994 and he is the BEST one by far. Many Dr. s assume what you need and do not need and make terrible errors/hospitalizations in my case. His caring and empathy is displayed in every visit. He is worth his weight in gold. My family and I are so thankful to have him to keep me as a productive member of society.

If I could take this one star away, I would. Unfortunately, there is no zero stars in Unilocal. I had the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at a doctor’s office. David Marcus MD, should be stripped of his title. He lacks compassion, office etiquette and manners. He might be a very well educated physician, however, he lacks the patience to explain things to the patients. He was short tempered, uncaring and just rude! There are many good psychiatrist out there who truly are compassionate and well trained and can make a difference in your life. A doctor’s priority should be first and foremost helping patients and not just MONEY!!! David Marcus MD is not one of these doctors.

Well, I didn’t even get in the door. After spending ALOT of time choosing Dr. Marcus from my insurance network and researching him online, I was told that he no longer takes my insurance, and he stopped taking adolescents. When I asked the not so courteous receptionist why, her reply was…” Dr. Marcus feels that adolscents take up alot of his time with longer appointments, and he wants to focus on his new clinic… can you say focus on $$$$$$$$$. BTW-would be in good medical practice to perhaps let the insurance company know what you are up to. What a waste of time.
