Wow — what a hidden treasure! Well — not SO hidden, because this place is pretty big! Got some lovely plants here after hemming and hawing over the vast selection for almost an hour. The gentlemen here were very helpful and happy to answer questions regarding the care of certain plants(I’m trying to have a green thumb, and trying not to miserably fail!). They even offered to help me to my car. Pricing was reasonable and my plants are a beautiful fixture on my porch. I look forward to returning to the nursery!

This nursery is great. The owner and staff are very knowledgable and down to earth, friendly, and very helpful. I purchased two 20 foot trees there for 1⁄3 of what every other nursery was charging. I was blown away. And the trees were grown there from seed so they were very well taken care of. The owner even pointed out some fungus rot that was growing on the very bottom trunk on one of the trees. I hadn’t even noticed it. But he looked over the tree and inspected it closer than I did! So he pointed it out and said he would not sell me that one and had another one brought out. Now that’s honesty! They helped me load my truck, and even helped me wrap the branches with my tarp. They gave me some dirt for free and I was on my way. I can’t say enough about how friendly these guys were. Very happy!

Please come here!!! This little sanctuary is just the best. I went two days in a row. It’s been here since 1976 or something amazing like that. The owner, Walter, is a cool older guy from Switzerland. I saw him the second day I went. Javier and Jesus are there pretty much every day and are extremely knowledgable and helpful. Javier gave me a few discounts on some plants, but they are already the best priced around!!! They’ve got everything you would want, as well as some beautiful hand painted pots on the inside. I could spend all day here! :)

Walter is a local treasure and I always stop by to get a plant or a statue or basket for my garden. He’s passionate about landscapes and gardening, completely ethical, devoted, hard-working, knowledgeable, etc… I could go on and on! And he likes my cookies — which he deserves!!!

I can’t believe this place has been here over 30 years and doesn’t have any Unilocal reviews! Love this place! The owner Walter was super helpful and nice. Prices were reasonable and we got flats of St Augustine grass for half the cost you can get them at the big chain stores. Also got 2 fruit trees, pots and potting soil for our deck. Great selection of plants(trees, grass, ferns, flowers, etc). This is what shopping local is all about.

A petit nursery compared to some of the other ones that I have been to. However, I feel that the plants here are generally well taken care of. The owner here is knowledgeable and willing to share with me how to take care of my plants. He also showed me how I can distinguish between a shade plant vs one that requires sun rather than just point out the shade vs sun section(I’ve killed a row of flowers because I was not really paying attention…) I ended up purchasing a pot of san dimas camila. It came already fertilized and all I have to do is water accordingly until January. Will post pic once my camilia blooms :) Overall, I wasn’t pushed to purchase anything and came home with new knowledge. … so happy camper
