«The Best Meatball Sandwich in Town!» Exceptional customer service, great food and reasonable prices. I usually go to Niko’s Pizza for the Donato, a meatball and italian sausage sandwich or Busy bee and my the classic meatball at Sorrento’s. But this sandwich at MVP beats them all! Italian toasted bread with garlic spread and freshly made meatballs it almost melts in your mouth as you bite into it yet it still holds its integrity and doesn’t fall apart like busy bees’ s. The chef Julio custom makes sandwiches so I asked for a mix if sausage & meatball. OMG, By Far THEBESTSANDWICHINTOWN! I asked for the 12″ and had it in four pieces. This beautiful beast is huge! I thought Sorrentos win the prize for the biggest sandwiches in town but I was wrong! I was starving and still couldn’t finish it, so I decided to take a pic and share my review ;)

The pizza was delicious but the place itself was not clean. There were crumbs everywhere, the floors were filthy, it looks like the games have never been wiped down or cleaned. I almost went to rite aid to buy a pack of disinfectant wipes to clean everything myself. There was pizza crust and cupcakes on the floor from a party earlier that day. I told one of the employees about the crumbs, cupcakes and pizza crust everywhere in the game area and she said she would walk over and clean it up but she never did. Some of the quarter machines were lose and almost fell on top of my 1 ½ year old daughter.

Great pizza. Great pasta. The friendliest staff and owners. The place is packed with TVs and if you love to hang out and watch sports. This is the place. I came here with my Fiancé’ and brought the kids. Every one of them commented on how much they liked the food. We ordered a Pepperoini and a Chile Verde. This place has been here forever but got new owners a few years ago. I never went while the old owners ran it, but I’ll be coming back again for sure.

Have eaten here a few times now and have really liked all the food I’ve tried. Abundant amount of large screen TVs, so definitely a great place to watch whatever big game is playing. Owners are very friendly and remembered our names — treated us like family. Stopped by our table several times to make sure we were okay. Loved the Chile Verde pizza and hot wings… really yummy if you ask for them extra crispy!

A good venue for some quick quality pizza, beer and college football. There are large televisions all over and you really can’t miss any big game while you are there. Pizza is good — was there for a child’s birthday party — Had penne with tomato sauce with cheese pizza topped with Pepperoni. — Good quality stuff — service seemed pretty good as well. Definitely made the girl’s who’s 12th birthday I celebrated with birthday special — definitely would recommend this place to anyone in the San Pedro Area looking to chow down on some good pizza while watching a game!

NEWMANAGEMENTISRUDEANDINATTENTIVETOTHEBUSINESS’S LOYALCUSTOMERS!!! FOODISNOTWELLPREPARED!!! So I’ve been coming to this place for about 8 yrs now, way back when it was Jerry’s and then the first MVP owners. Under both owners the pizza was AMAZING and the service was fast and friendly. While in college I would drive all the way from Long Beach just to get this pizza. With these new owners however… NOT A FAN! I literally only created this account so that I could write a review for them. 1st Service fail: Ordered a small pizza with chicken to go, waited about 30 minutes for it after a 10 hr work day without any concern or apology from the staff(past owners would be polite and offer water). Food: After waiting forever for the pizza it was given to me cold, which means they obviously didn’t bring it out right away. Pizza isn’t the same after the microwave! AND the chicken was all fatty and in large chunks drowning the pizza. The other chicken from the first two owners was 100xs better. Heck, Jerry’s didn’t even have chicken on toppings menu until I kept ordering it! ANDWORSTOFALL, I only ordered a small pizza and it was basically just crust!!! If you order a small freaking pizza, YOUWANTPIZZA! Not bread!!! Especially when I know I could have got more pizza for $ 5 else where but chose to spend twice that much at the new MVP’s assuming it’d be just as good. 2nd service fail: After the disappointment I called and expressed my concerns in a very polite manner to who claimed to be the owner and long story short, the owner didn’t give a damn ORANAPOLOGY for the bad food or service. All he said was«depends on who made it»(because apparently they don’t train their staff the same way so how good your pizza is ‘depends’; you’re pretty much gambling on whether or not you’ll get quality food and the owner acknowledges that) and«hopefully it will be better next time», not it will be better next time. No apology, no ‘we’ll take care of you, what’s your name’(even Domino’s will replace a pizza if you’re dissatisfied), but still most in importantly, NOAPOLOGY. I think that if i hadn’t had called and took it as them just being busy or something, I would have eventually gone back. HOWEVER, because I did call and the OWNER was so APATHETICANDDISCOURTEOUS, I’m not sure I will. Unless of course it gets bought out again. Thanks for ruining what used to be my favorite pizza place with your rudeness and crusty pizza new people =(

I have been here numerous times but today I decided to see if they could hold up to their standards on a delivery order… Low and Behold I received my order very quickly nice and hot!!! I have never been here at this place when there wasn’t service with a smile. Great prices, Great environment for the young and the young at heart!!! Will we be back??? You better believe it!!! I love this place… Flat Screens every where you turn!!! Always new items on the menu also!!! Their new green chili pizza is to die for!!! Cant wait to see what they come up with next!!!

DON’T GOHERE!!! First of all the place is basically ran by two people who I don’t think are even old enough to have a drivers license, like where is the owner or manager? It took bout 40 minutes for us to get mozzarella sticks and a large pizza. Then the mozzarella sticks have NO mozzarella in them! The pizza was probably the greasiest pizza I have had in the 30 years of my life. Even all the way down to the Dr. Pepper we had(which was all syrup and no carbonation) everything was horrible. If the owner of this place cared about customer satisfaction or keeping his/her place running he/she would at least hire a cook that was old enough to legally drive. It’s no wonder they don’t deliver because you wouldn’t get your pizza till the next day! ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE!!!

I would give this place one star since the chef really likes the food ! He was eating croutons and chicken from customers plates as he was preparing them right from the fryer ! The pizza was black on the bottom. We ordered 5 pizzas and they were all burnt. The manager didn’t care after I reported that the chefs was licking his fingers and wiping his nose with the same towel he wiped the counters with. He never washed his hands and the manager never cared !! Soooo dirty yucky poo poo ! The chef walked outside wiped his hands on his shirt and touched the doors ! Walked back in and still never washed his hands ! OMGNASTY !! And the manager made excuses for their disgusting restaurant !! Yuck blah !! Foochie !!

Not bad. Not good. Then my Love noticed the sign on the window for Ownership Change. The small changes make sense now, the details make a business. Pizza used to taste better. The veggies may be canned now? The crust is good thought, mild buttery taste. Not bad. Not good. Mainly the two stars are for messing up the order. If your here for with a batch of kids and soccer moms after a game ordering large cheese or pepperoni pizzas, I suggest this joint. :-| enjoy the games here, small arcade. The new owner also is sweet.

It seems like this a locals hangout where you bring your kids to let them run around unsupervised. I came here with my friend and her daughter around 7pm on a Friday night and this place was packed… full of kids. There were maybe 20 plus kids running around 3 or 4 games. We got a dirty table to sit down at and then had to go the bar to order our food. We got a pepperoni pizza, wings, zucchini and an alfredo pasta. It took forever for the food to come out so we were starving by the time it arrived. The zucchini was good and the ranch was passable. The pasta was also good and had a good sauce to it. But OMG the pizza was the greasiest pizza I have ever eaten… GROSS!!! And the wings had hardly any meat on them and the BBQ sauce was terrible. Needless to say my stomach was very upset later that night. I can’t imagine that I would ever come here again.

Got 2 sandwiches from this place terrible not enough meat on sandwiches I was disgusted stay away from there pastrami sandwiches dry as hell there must have been 1 oz of meat on it for a 12 inch sub plus bread was old and now for the turkey sandwich dry as hell not enough meat once again very poor fully made for cheese the used grated cheese which was wrong to do and no lettuce/tomatoes on sandwiches plus they are slow as hell making your food you can tell the cook can’t cook and don’t know what he is doing. MVP Pizza needs some big time help in there kitchen with people that know what there doing

If you’re a sports fan, Most Valuable Pizza is the place to be. My family and I had a wonderful experience today due to the excellent service and great tasting food. The staff was extremely accommodating, even though we came in wearing SF Giants gear(in enemy Dodgers territory). The Giants season opener was put on the large flat screen with surround sound. That was awesome. We ordered the«works» pizza for $ 21.99(XL size), which is basically a supreme pizza with loads of toppings and a side of medium chicken caesar salad($ 6.99) to share. The pizza tasted amazing! Every bite tasted great and they don’t cut back on the cheese either. For me, the salad was the best part of the meal. The dressing was just perfect and the croutons tasted fresh and not out of some grocery store package. Looking around, I can see how MVP can be a great place to hold a birthday party(with the many games available for kids), a hangout after a little league game, or in my case, host a fantasy draft with the multitude of flat screens and large clean tables. And before I forget, free WiFi is a huge bonus! A great experience overall, and definitely a destination for me whenever I want to catch a big game.
