I’ve been to a number of dentists. Dr Hakimi is by far the best I’ve been to in 20 years. Everyone in the office is professional and polite. Cleanings are quick but thorough. I switched when my previous dentist attempted to rip me off. I was recommended by family members and would happily recommend Dr. Hakimi to anyone.

I recommend Dr. Hakimi and Dr. Groff — they are both very professional and know the mechanics of the mouth and how to properly fix problems. The office is a pleasant place to visit — everyone is professional — and things run smoothly. I have been a patient for many years and highly recommend Dr. Hakimi and Dr. Groff.

I have been going to Dr. Hakimi for years and have always been pleased, but it just keeps getting better and better. Aside from the fact that EVERYONE in the office is super friendly, professorial and accommodating — they have embraced technology, which has made my life so much easier. Scheduling appointments online and receiving confirmation and reminder text messages makes things super simple. I am beyond thrilled! I also love that they give you an iPod to listen to during the treatment — I am kind of a wuss when it comes to going to the dentist (yes, even just getting my teeth cleaned is tough for me), and having an iPod to lose myself in really helps, and actually kind of relaxing. In my busy, stressful week, going to the dentist yesterday was actually the most relaxed I’d been in a long time. It’s a combination of the serene office, the incredibly friendly people who work there, the care they provide, the music, the comfy chair– it was actually a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this practice to everyone. Great people + great service = great experiences.

I just back from an appointment this morning. The atmosphere was calm and professional. There was no guilt tripping. I dealt mostly with Tina, the hygienist, who was fantastic and nice. The practice went above and beyond my expectations in five ways, so here’s my list.
1) Accepted my appointment made through ZocDoc and followed up by two phone calls. When I did not answer the phone calls, they followed up with e-​mail. If you can’t tell by this point, I am a product of the internet generation who hates having to take time to find somewhere quiet to make a phone call. They were remarkably accommodating of this.
2) Fit me in early since I arrived early.
3) Took care of all the insurance work. Ensured it was all set before doing any work on my teeth. I was able to walk out without a cent from my own pocket.
4) Used digital x-​rays which appeared instantly, were easy to see, and had less radiation. Also nice to know in the future that they can quickly send these records across country if I a move, which it highly likely.
5) Paid attention to making me comfortable. Gave me an iPod to listen to during the cleaning, opened the windows so I could see the sunlight, were very gentle with said cleaning, and paid close attention finding an area that may eventually become a cavity. They sent me to the pharmacy to get concentrated fluoride for $ 16 instead of $ 45 which would be the cost if I purchased the higher strength from them.
It seemed like a small practice in a courtyard full of dental offices. There was ample parking underneath, and it was pretty easy to get to. It’s near Three Twins (to ease the pain or to reward yourself for proper flossing.
I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. I would use them as my primary dentist for years if I was staying in the area.

Dr. Hakimi and her assistant Tina (I think; sorry if I got your name wrong) are really great at what they do. They both had a very good touch and were attentive to people who are on the wussier side — like I am.
There was absolutely no guilt trip about how long it’s been before going to the dentist — when I mentioned it, the doctor’s reply was, «Well, you’re here now!» Super nice.
My visit ended up being a bit of an adventure; I had a deep teeth cleaning, multiple x-​rays, and some intensive scraping, but through the entire thing I listened to the provided iPod’s music and was able to get through it with only minimal wussiness on my end from their encouragement and professionalism. It was a total non threatening, pleasant experience. I am happy to have a team like that on my side for my dental health.

Good to Great — Dr. Hakimi and her excellent staff always impress me by going the extra mile for their customers. Each time I visit, I see that they have updated and enhanced their office technologies or customer services.
Last time it was their less-​invasive digital x-​ray technologies, which also let you see the images instantaneously (saves time for the patient). At my recent visit this week, the excellent Dental Hygenist asked if I might enjoy listening to music while my teeth were cleaned – ? Hmmm, that sounded nice. She then helped me scroll through the many, many music offerings on her iPhone, attached disposable earbuds on the headset cord, and started the music.
What an amazingly pleasant experience it was to get lost in the soothing music of Enya while my teeth were getting scrubbed and buffed. Oh and I really appreciated the appointment reminder I received by email, which offered a way t reschedule if needed.

I really hate writing less than positive reviews, but sometimes it has to happen…
Originally, I was satisfied with my time here — I came in for a cleaning and some X-​rays. Hakimi and her assistant were both nice and professional. I was feeling pretty positive, but everything changed when it came to rescheduling…
I respected the 24-​hour cancellation policy — I called a few days ahead the first time I had to reschedule because I hadn’t the necessary funds, even with my insurance, to pay for two crowns I’m supposed to have done. I rescheduled for a later date, no sweat. Right? Wrong. Then, I was faced with having to move after leasing an apartment and got caught up with the business of life — as we all do. I don’t think, however, that it would have mattered if I had called a week ahead instead of one day. I called the day before the date of my rescheduled appointment to cancel again, but when I spoke to the receptionist, she gave me crap about how I can’t reschedule a second time AND that Hakimi was «very upset» the first time I rescheduled.
I’m not saying Hakimi is a bad dentist or that I don’t want this practice to succeed. I’m sure the majority of her regular patients are pleased with her work. However, I was made to feel like a high school student being ridiculed by her principal for cutting class — which is just not cool. This is the adult world, things happen, and I feel that this should be a universal «known.» As much as I hate starting from a clean slate, I’ll probably go elsewhere to get my teeth fixed — some place where they understand that I’m an adult.
Just sayin’.

I couldn’t disagree more with all of these negative reviews. I have not been to the dentist in atleast 5 years. I don’t have dental coverage so I have avoided the dentist for fear of the cost. I’m getting married in a month and a half and had planed on going for a LONG overdue cleaning and check up once I was on my soon to be husbands coverage. This plan went down the toilet on Sunday when while eating dinner half of my veneer broke off. I was not shocked by this being that my childhood dentist had done them over 10 years ago. I just really didn’t want to be a snaggletooth on my wedding day. If it were any other time in my life I would have just waited for my dental coverage to kick in. When I first called the office I was upset from a prior call to my original dentist office. The receptionist there was rude and condescending. After Kasey helped me on the phone I knew it would be an entirely different experience. She was so sweet and helpful. I ended up dropping by to fill out some paper work to get the ball rolling. She helped me fill some stuff out in case I needed financing and then set me up an appointment for today to have Dr. Hakimi check out my tooth. I really thought she would just look at it and set me up with an appointment at a later date to fix it. Dr. Hakimi and her assistant that was there today (not sure what her name is) Were both also very sweet and helpful. When Dr. Hakimi looked at my tooth she went right to work on it and I’m am happy to report it looks better than ever. They were so understanding of my situation and willing to help me fit it into my budget. I am excited to go back for my cleaning and exam next month and will definitely be a returning patient. I highly recommend Dr. Hakimi to anyone on the market for a new dentist.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hakimi for almost 2 years now. Get my teeth cleaned every 6 months and she is really good. My last dentist seemed like an auto mechanic who always found something to fix… and he had really inexperienced help. Dr. Hakimi in contrast is a pro, does much of the work herself… and I get a free toothbrush every time I go. Whooo hooo.
