Jessie et Laurent have been saving this working mom’s life – no kidding – since I had my son almost 10 years ago. Their food is always delicious and their customer service, always impeccable. My son especially loves their Beef Polenta Pie and Sloppy Joes. I can’t say enough good things about this company!

I have tried multiple meal delivery services. None of them have been as thoughtfully prepared… with my meals clearly marked to indicate adherence to my specific dietary requirements. I am gluten free and our daughter is dairy free. They clearly indicate which meals can be adjusted for each of these requirements on the weekly menu. There are always plenty of options. I prefer vegetarian and my husband prefers meat — Jessie et Laurent provides options for both. The meals arrive on time and have always been very good and often times outstanding. Equally important, they focus on sourcing high quality ingredients. We are so glad to have found Jessie et Laurent.

My mom was getting older and not interested in cooking for herself. poor diet was a concern. In steps Jessie et Laurent! So grateful! They provide a great organic, delicious, healthy and affordable diet that we ALL love. They deliver right to the front door weekly and costs no more than my mom having to drive to Safeway. I HIGHLY recommend it for those who don’t generally have the time, energy or wherewithal to prepare healthy and delicious foods.

We love everything that we have picked out so far! At first I thought the portions were small for what we are paying for but once the items are dished out in plates it’s more than enough food. We usually get two main dishes a week and do our own sides. Love, love, love that this is available for us! Desserts are decadent too!

Amazing! The hubby and I (picky and adventurous) eaters absolutely love every dish we have gotten from Jessie Laurent! The quality and flavor are always exceptional and for the price of a pizza, it seems silly not to utilize their service. The food is very fresh and always spot on for texture too. You can tell this is truly a top notch company. I am so pleased to have found this service. Delivery staff is always pleasant too. They have coolers if you have to go into the office on delivery day or you can provide your own.
A small typically fills up two adults for one meal. A medium gets us 4 meals total and we have never ordered a large.

Jessie & Laurent are worth 10 Stars! The food is delicious, simple to heat-​up, organic & locally sourced. The menu is varied weekly and they have a huge selection of main dishes, sides, salads, soups and desserts (and vegetarian options). They will tailor your meals if needed: gluten free, low fat/​salt. They are a life saver for those who work late & you are too tired to cook. The online ordering is easy and delivery is professional. I look forward to opening my fridge and seeing the color-​coded, healthy food ready to eat each week. It’s just like having your mom cook for you every night!

Jessie et Laurent have saved my sanity more times than I can count! With very busy schedules, it’s difficult for my husband and I to find the time to cook both healthy and delicious meals. I love that the menu changes every week and provides a wide array of options. Allows us to have delicious dinners without going out — it’s such a gourmet treat that is EASY. Ordering online, heating instructions, etc, are super clear — just pop things in the oven and most ready in about 20 – 30 min. Any time I have had a special request, they have been ultra-​accomodating and professional. I have also given as a gift a few times (new moms, friends home from hospital) and the recipients have RAVED about it! We are devoted to this great service that affords us much more time together and less time cooking after a loooong day at work. Don’t ever change!

I received a decadent gift certificate from a friend after a death in the family. First, it’s true — the best thing to get people who are sick or grieving — is prepared food delivered to their door. It’s an enormous help — but then such a bonus when the food is also delicious. I’m so grateful for this gift!
I had to create an account and get an approval online before I could place my order. And was mildly frustrated that I had to be «approved» — but then I got a response from someone nearly immediately (in addition to automated). From there I placed my orders easily and quickly. And also gasped at the prices… $ 35 for «medium» sized entrees. YEOW! In my mind, I was comparing this to prepared entrees at Whole Foods, for example. And although expensive — I have to say it was darned good. And having it show up at your door, in a nice cooler bag with ice gel packs — ready to go in the oven and come out delicious? Pretty great.
We ordered:
— Chicken Curry (small) — this was probably my least favorite, ok flavor/​good quality — just not as good as the others
— Succulent BBQ Beef Short Ribs (medium) — enough for probably 3 people — and the BBQ sauce is to die for
— Chicken Stuff Pablano Chllies (medium) — this is craveable. Really good — all white/​breast meat chicken — we probably got 4 meals out of this w/​small servings — it’s fairly rich. Loved.
— Spinach, Olive & Pesto Lasagna (small) — loved it — rich, so several small servings. So good.
— Chicken Enchiladas with Fire-​Roasted Tomato Salsa (medium) — also really good, good white chicken breast meat, rich, flavorful, craveable — salsa was underwhelming
— Salmon & Sea Scallops with 3-​Pepper Corn Sauce (medium) — nice, satisfying, light broth
— Roasted Seasonal Veg (small) — nice, basic veg
— Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting (small) — this was a surprisingly large amount — we each had several servings and it was really good
Most dishes freeze well — so that was like having money in the bank. I looked forward to my next dish. We’re just finishing our last entrée and I’m bummed!
I wish it could be a little more economical b/​c I would do it all the time. But for a special occasion (even a dinner party) — or under special circumstances, for sure!

Good, but not exceptional food. For these prices it should be exceptional.
We received a gift certificate for Jessie et Laurent, which was a wonderful gift. The staff at Jessie et Laurent were very professional and responsive. The whole process was easy. I have to give them kudos for professionalism and customer service.
Unfortunately, they missed the pricepoint by a mile. For $ 150 we received three large entrees and a small bag of cookies. That’s about $ 45 per entrée.
One of those entrees was a large quiche. It was delicious, light and fluffy. Of the three we ordered, that was clearly the standout entrée; but there is no way that was a $ 45 quiche. The other two entrees were a chicken and a noodle dish. Both of those were good, but definitely not great; neither were dishes I would order again. Again, for $ 45 each I believe they should be exceptional.
For comparison, if I would have ordered delivery from a local restaurant, I believe a restaurant of comparable quality would have provided *at least* 2 – 3 X as much food for the same price.

Honestly, the main thing I was dreading when I had a baby right from the start was that I was going to eat crap until I had the energy to cook for myself again. I was wrong, and it’s in large part of Jessie et Laurent.
A friend gave me a gift certificate to the service as a baby gift, and it’s been a lifesaver. You go onto the site, pick dishes that you are interested in, and order. They hit each region of the bay area on a certain day of the week, each dish coming with warming instructions for your oven, and they’re well labelled, and you heat the food, and go.
This is restaurant quality food delivered to your door, at less than restaurant prices. Dishes are marked on if they can or cannot be frozen, so you can buy the dishes you want when they come up, and store them for later. I’ve ordered 3 weeks of food, and it’s great to have something that feels more like home cooking, but doesn’t take the effort. I can see this being something I could continue to do for quite some time.
Of the dishes we’ve ordered, I haven’t tried one that I didn’t like thus far. The medium dishes are easily servings for 3 adults, and the small dishes depending on which ones you get, can be enough for 1, or enough for 4 meals.
You do need to order a couple of days before they deliver, and the minimum order is $ 85, but when we spend about $ 90, we end up with meals for 2 for about 3 – 4 days. I’d say it’s worth it. Right now, knowing that I’ll have nutritious meals at home without resorting to fast food is completely worth it, and I think this it’s fantastic. I recommend it to any expecting mom, or busy family.

If you are too busy to cook and spend way too much eating out, this is a fantastic option for dinner. We order from them about twice a month and the food is excellent every time. My only gripe is that they do not use very much organic veggies or free range meats — otherwise a really great service.

I began using Jessie et Laurent after I had my first child and I have been really happy with their food and service. The website/​ordering process is simple and easy.
More importantly — the food is great. You can tell the quality is high and that you are eating «real» food. I love coming home to a fridge full of easy to prepare wholesome meals.

I am a fairly new customer to Jesse et Laurent, but I am very impressed! I travel a lot, we get food to go or eat out. I figured I would give JET a shot, due to the great reviews, seeing their trucks around Mill Valley and the pictures of the dishes on their website.
The service has really been fantastic. They deliver to your door, you can leave a cooler out if you are not going to be home and if you forget, they leave one (which is fantastic). The food is very tasty and I have to say the prices seem high, but the cost of a couple dinners out or the time to shop and prepare food (for me personally), it’s a wash. We are also pretty tired of the restaurants we frequent, since there are the few we like that we eat at all the time. Jesse et Laurent has new dishes every week and it is pretty cool seeing the menu each week. I mean isn’t nice to not have to think about «what’s for dinner»? Isn’t it easier to open the fridge and decide the crepes, the Japanese noodles or pot pie.
We are also vegetarian and they have a nice selection of dishes we can choose from each week. As another reviewer said, the food is definitely a step up from Whole Foods, MV Market or Paradise «entrees». They also have way more creative vegetarian dishes. They actually make a concerted effort on the veggie front which is more than I can say for a lot of restaurants.
I have to say it might be the next best thing to having a personal chef. Thanks Jesse et Laurent for making our lives a little easier and being so creative for your vegetarian customers.

I found them almost 7 years ago when I was remodeling my kitchen and needed decent, healthy meals. The prices seemed high until I received the first shipment. The quality of the food and the thoughtful preparation is what made it work. Plus the delivery! Heating dishes up is easy and the meals last well in how they are packaged.
Since that time I have used their service for friends and employees. Each time I heard how easy it was to order online and how incredible the meals were.
This is a great service!

I was suspect at first because I thought the prices were high and the service was something that could be duplicated by shopping the «ready made meals» at a local grocery store like whole foods.
My wife and I received our first shipment this morning and it will definitely not be our last. We were so impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. We have a newborn in the house and not having to struggle through the grocery store is such a relief.
The quality and service of Jessie et Laurent is amazing and we would recommend it to anyone.
Looking forward to trying more menu items, but so far the salmon, polenta, asparagus, and garlic bread were all delicious.

I’ve ordered from Jessie & Laurent four times now and the meals are consistently excellent. I’ve especially enjoyed the spaghetti pie, minted pea soup and grilled tri-​tip. The grilled seasonal vegetables are a must-​order. The service is wonderful, the helpings generous, the food is fresh and attractive and cooking instructions couldn’t be simpler! Thank you!

It’s a great service for those who are busy with work and don’t have time to cook, and tired of take out — or going out can be a hassle (like with a baby and dog)
ordering online is really easy once you get registered.
the ingredients are fresh, organic and local so can be more pricey than other similar services but i think overall worth it.
i don’t order every week. and you don’t have to. sometimes i’m not in the mood for what’s on their menu. but it changes every week which is nice. i just started using them but here’s what i’ve had so far
Cold Grilled Niman Ranch Tri Tip — pretty tasty especially during the summer. comes with a horseradish sauce that doesn’t have much kick.
Chicken Cordon Bleu — so so.
Succulent BBQ Beef Short Ribs — excellent!
Tuscan White Bean & Potato Salad — excellent.
Tarragon Crab Cakes w Mixed Greens & Lemon Aioli — a little disappointed with these
Chicken Kuwayski with Japanese Noodles — very good
Penne w Smoked Chicken, Basil & Gorgonzola — so so. i think you can make better pasta yourself
Salmon Burgers with Lemon & Caper — eaten open faced. very good!
BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs — excellent
Chicken Stuffed Poblano Chilies — very good
Vichyssoise with Chives — very good
i would stick with the entrees and sides, and make your own greens/​veggies

This is one of the best gift certificates I’ve ever gotten. Fresh, delicious food delivered to your door… what a great concept! I placed two orders from Jessie L and both experiences were great. The online ordering system is user friendly and straight to the point. Once your order is placed, you receive a confirmation email with all of the details. Food is delivered right to your door in a cool Jessie L bag with ice packs (just in case you aren’t home).
Each week there are new options on the menu. A couple of my favorite selections:
— Greek Moussaka w/​Lamb and Gruyère
— Bombay Style Chicken w/​Red Split Lentil
— Chicken Cordon Bleu (my 3-​year old LOVED this)
Oh and the best part… they deliver to the East Bay:)

Our friend recently purchased a gift certificate from Jessie et Laurent for us, assuming we could use all the help out there with a newborn in the house. She couldn’t have gotten us a better gift.
Included in the package were three entrees, four side dishes and a dessert to be freshly delivered to our door. (Note: the order must be placed a few days in advance.) Everything can be arranged online, and the service was very polite and professional over the phone.
They offer a different menu every week, which is posted on their website. We got the following dishes and were highly pleased with every one of them:
— Old fashioned lamb stew (My husband loved this)
— Lemon turkeye meatballs w/​tomato basil sauce (I loved this one)
— Moroccan grilled chicken salad (nice dressing)
— Basmati rice w/​artichokes & mushrooms (perfectly seasoned)
— Montego red pea soup
— Roasted seasonal veggies
— Greens & goodies
— Dutch crunch apple pie (We both LOVED this one)
Everything tasted fresh, healthy and very homemade. Packaging is safe for both microwave and oven, and the food can also be frozen. The portions were quite large and each lasted us two to three days, except for the lamb stew that my husband finished in one day.
Well, we are impressed. This makes a great gift for friends and families in the Bay Area, and we’re sure to order from them time to time.

Jessie et Laurent offers a super-​useful, semi-​custom food delivery service. Think of it as a step down from your own personal chef, but a big step up from take out diner food and your own reheated leftovers. In short you can order a week’s worth of food each Friday, then get it delivered to your fridge the following Monday or Tuesday.
We used their service for 4 – 6 weeks this summer and generally found them to be punctual, customer-​friendly and we thought the food was pretty good.
Unfortunately we did also have a bad experience, so we are no longer customers. My 3 year old has several allergies including egg, and the short story is that they changed a recipe — adding egg — and failed to notify their office staff. So despite my asking numerous time for no egg product and being assured we had no problem, my son ingested egg and got very sick. To their credit, Jessie et Laurent handled the aftermath as well as they could have… with the CEO calling to apologize profusely and immediately refunding my week’s bill. So I’m not mad at them and hold no grudges, but I also don’t use their service at this point.
I’ve been pondering how to write this review for months now and figured I would just tell it straight. Bottom line is that they offer a pretty great (albeit expensive) service and if we did not have serious allergy issues, I’d be a customer today.
