This review is especially written for those of you who, like me, consider this a real stretch financially but want to splurge on something luxurious for yourself. I wish I would have known what I know now before I bought the queen bed makeover(I ordered the summer cover plus the bedskirt). I saved for almost a year in order to buy these. First, let me say, the linen fabric itself is gorgeous and lives up to the pictures on the rough linen website. But. In order of discontent: 1. The sizes are a problem. Unlike the photos suggest, the queen summer cover is huge, hangs almost to the floor, covering up most of the bedskirt. «Queen» pillowslips came automatically which I didn’t know. Since I’ve been buying queen sheet sets, standard size has always been the standard, and got a patronizing reply when I contacted the owner. «Since it was a queen makeover we sent you queen pillowslips.» My misunderstanding but I hope they will make this clearer on the description. They also sent the wrong size shams and I received a similarly touchy reply telling me I was wrong so I had to send a picture of the tag proving the mistake. The owner quickly righted the situation. 2. The flat sheet shrunk and now it is difficult to get a tight fit. It constantly loosens and wrinkles up under me so I have to re-tuck daily. 3. The worst part. Linen is not sumptuous-feeling on the skin. Although I love wearing linen clothing, it’s different than sleeping on it. I feel like I’m sleeping on burlap. Unpleasant. Today I’m inspired to write this review because I’ve finally given up on the sheets because of how they feel(I’ll keep the rest because it is beautiful) and returning to my nice cotton sheets that have a fitted bottom sheet! I’m mortified that I spent this much and hope I can offer this information to someone else who is considering this extravagant purchase. PS: Linen lint! I had no idea. It coats everything.
