I have repeatedly tried to make an appointment with this massage therapist. I left 2 emails and 2 voice mails mentioning I had a Groupon and would like to book an appointment. Nothing. I left another voice message today this time NOT mentioning I had a Groupon and I received a call right back. In my message I said that I had attempted to reach out several times and would like to know if he was accepting new clients. When he called me he had an attitude right off the bat. He said you tried to reach me, how? I said yes through email and phone. He said he didn’t use email, when I asked him about not using email he said he does use his email but I must have the wrong address? Seriously, I used your link? He said anyway, you have a Groupon and would like to make an appointment? HOWWOULDYOUKNOW I HAVE A GROUPONBECAUSE I DIDN’T LEAVEITINTHISMESSAGE? He told me I did leave it in this message and continued to argue with me that I did when I told him I did not. He argues with his clients. He is rude and confrontational. He has no customer service. Next he says, when would you like to book your appointment? Ha, after all that great customer service you want me to let you touch me??? My guess is he’s not getting business because of his attitude and tried Groupon but doesn’t want to treat those customers as real full paying clients. I use Groupon for deals, of course, and so I can try out businesses that I would not otherwise. He may be a great massage therapist but I will never know and it’s his horrible attitude that caused this. Don’t argue with your customers. Treat them with respect and you will keep them forever. Just beware folks, that’s all I’m saying. I should have checked Unilocal BEFORE I bought the Groupon.

Don’t use Steven — he is RUDE!!! I purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment for October 12th at 11 a.m. I totally spaced about the appointment(no reminder calls/emails are given). Steven left me a message on 10/12, and I wasn’t able to get back to him until yesterday, 10/13, which was upsetting to him. I did leave a very apologetic message to him about spacing on the appointment. Fast forward… This morning Steven called and explained that it was upsetting to him that I had not called him back right away. I explained to Steven that I had not intended to miss the appointment as my back is hurting, and I need a massage. He sounded angry — and not a person who I would want to get a massage from at all. He said that we could re-schedule the appointment, but I told him that that I didn’t think it would work as he sounded angry, and he told me that he was just trying to express his opinion. Well, me thinks that if you want to establish a new customer and maintain a customer base — that you should be able to understand that people are humans and do make mistakes(my missing the appt.), and that trying to make people feel bad is not going to endear them to you. Read another Customer’s review — we had the same type of rude experience. Steven may(or may not) be a good masseuse, but I would rather spend my money getting a massage from a reputable business that has good massage therapists who also exhibit stellar customer service. Shame on you, Steven!

I really enjoyed my massage which was in a chiropractic office, not his home.. I appreciated the care he took in explaining what to expect and the communication throughout to make sure that it was working for me. I also enjoyed the way he had decorated the space. I get frequent massages, and I found Stephen’s massage to be excellent. He really enjoys his work and it shows in the massage.

I just felt like I had to write a review due to horrible customer service. My gf got me a massage from group on and I made an appointment. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks later since that was the only opening he had. unfortunately, I missed my appointment because my phone didnt notify me of it even though I marked it in my calendar. He called me asking what happened and I sincerely apologized. he told me «it’s been happening a lot lately». So after apologizing I figured we were all good. Two weeks had passed and since my groupon expires on the 28th, I called today to schedule an appointment. I left a voicemail apologizing again for missing my appointment and if it would be okay if I made another one. He called me back asking why I missed my appointment the first time as if we hadn’t already talked about it and was very rude claiming that I scheduled my appointment at 7.30 in the Morning and that he came early just for me. I told him you must have me confused because I would never schedule an appointment that early and that we had already talked about it. He made a smart remark saying«I wouldn’t just pencil it in my calendar for no reason» overall he was very rude to me! You said I made an appointment for the 31st which wasn’t true! In fact, I have a photo of my calendar of when my appointment was supposed to be that I marked. It was March 17th, 10 am! You definitely got me mixed up with another customer just like I said ! Do you believe me now ??
Also here’s some a little tip … The customer is always right! 1 more tip: if you’re booked up for 2 weeks don’t you think it would be a good idea to send a reminder text or call the day before? –Alex

I’m very disappointed with my massage. I told Steven several times of the one area(shoulder blades) that I wanted him to pay extra attention too. He barely even massaged them. My shoulders are still killing me and I will have to pay for another massage somewhere else. I will not be returning to this masseuse. He did not listen to the needs of his client.

I have found ‘Healing through touch’ through Living social. And just had my 1st massage. It was great, very relaxing. What I really appreciated was the time taken prior to my massage to find out about any medical problems, injuries etc. Have not had this experience anywhere else. They just throw you on a table and get their hands on you without asking a question. Which is blowing my mind. And I also received a call the following day from Stephen to check how I’m feeling. That’s called a superb customer service. Thank you! I’ll be back:)

My boyfriend bought me a Groupon for a massage… and it was a good one. I was nervous at first because he is currently massaging out of his home– but he is planning to relocate in to an office soon. He had a background in Chiropractics and a whole body approach– so there was some stretching and it was a little like a combination between Thai and Swedish massage which was awesome. He communicated very clearly what to expect and also listened to what I needed. I relaxed instantly and didn’t want to get up. I was relaxed all over without pain, and the massage was the perfect amount of pressure. He definitely has a unique technique but I felt like he gave 110%. I will definitely be back… and have told my friends.

Stephen is a wonder. Really. Have you ever had a massage that feels great while you are on the table but hurts like hell the next day or the day after that? My guess is that if you have had massages before, you probably have. If you don’t like that, look no further. Stephen is your massage man. He gives a massage that soothes you for not just the day you get it but the next day. One thing you might want to know. Stephen’s business is based out of his home. Some folks may not be comfortable with that. But my experience with Stephen is that his home is always spotless and he has always been professional.

Stephen is by far the best I have ever been to. I am a massage fanatic, and have had people all over the world attempt a good massage. I have to say I don’t even get massages at resorts anymore, because I know they won’t be as good as Stephen. I just end up disappointed. He is the very best, and oddly enough the least expensive. Hands down the best massage experience I have ever had. I know I am going to be a forever client of Stephens. I suffer from migraines and tension headaches and usually massage intensifies the pain and after my massage with Stephen my migraine was almost gone! I left Stephens extremely relaxed and rejuvenated. Stephen’s knowledge in his profession is second to none and you know it the minute he sits down and consults with you and feel it the minute he starts working on you. Great pricing is just the icing on the cake.
