Sport Clips

Been going here ever since I moved to San Ramon, and by far they have the best stylists, especially Liz! she can definitely give a good haircut and amazing fades. its’ quite unfortunate that Unilocal only allows for 5 stars, I’d rate 10 if could.

I believe this to be my first Unilocal Update and Sports Clip deserves it!
This week I went and had the pleasure of Danielle being my stylist. She has great energy, quite personable and really knows her stuff. Although new to Sports Clips, she boasts 10+ years else where and it shows in her craftsmanship.
Additionally, she shared her happiness with Sports Clips and shared their employee-​centric ways. This starts with the company itself and Don the owner of this shop follows that trend. The end result is a highly motivated employee like Danielle that loves this company and what she does.
Other companies should take a cue and not just look at employees as the right hand of an accounting statement.
Kudos to Sports Clips, Don and Danielle for producing a great environment and end product

We came straight from a salon where my 9 yr old son got his haircut. He wears his hair longer and his normal stylist had been booked two weeks straight. We needed to get his haircut bad so I had tried a new salon. Holy ish I almost cried it was so horrible (check my account for the review).
Anyways I came to sports clips because my other son and the hubby needed their hair shaved. I asked if someone could also help fix the 9 yr old’s hair.
Ladies and gents — Frenchie to the rescue! She saw how upset I was, put her arm around me, and told me it was going to be ok. She mentioned having worked at a barber shop for 27 years. She looked at his hair and told me what she was going to do.
It turned out so good. She totally knows what she is doing. We are going to see Frenchie going forward for all the boys and the hubby.

By the way — we normally go to the Blackhawk one. I am going to hit this place up now just because of Frenchie!

Courteous, professional and did a good job on my haircut. I made adjustments after she did her initial cut and she took it all in stride.
TV’s to watch at most of the stylists booths playing college football when I was in there.
Came in around 1030−11am and the place was filling up, signed in and I only waited around 10 – 15 minutes. Got the full shabang; cut, wash, hot towel, scalp massage and shoulder massage for 19 bucks. Think that was a deal for first timers only though.
All in all I would come back here for a cut!

Just got back and got a great haircut from Liz! She goes above and beyond to make sure you leave with exactly the cut you want. Way more detailed than any other haircut I’ve had before and will definitely be back.

Wow, what service and value. Couldn’t get to my hair stylist this month as she is in The City so looked around Unilocalers reviews. They got it right.
Got Sydney and was very pleasant and walked me though there services. Since I was a new customer got a discount and for $ 19 she offered the MVP which includes cut, wash, and a little shoulder massage at the end. She was extremely pleasant and accommodating and would consult with me during the cut.
They don’t do color so I will go to my regular to get rid of my gray but will be back here for my cuts in between. Hope Sydney is working when I come back.

Over the weekend, my son got the most horrible haircut at a barber shop his Dad took him to in the North Bay. It was absolutely horrendous — choppy and uneven all over, almost an inch over the ears, not lined up in the back and they barely even cut it. He came back home and I was so surprised that an actual barber shop would do such a terrible job. With the first day of school just a couple of days away, I went into panic mode as I couldn’t send him to his first day of Kindergarten looking the way he did. Last night at 7 pm, I quickly checked out Unilocal to see who was open as I got off work late and couldn’t take him in any sooner. He had an «ok» haircut at Supercuts once, but I certainly wanted something much better. I read all the reviews for Sport Clips and decided to try them out.
They were open until 8 pm so I rushed down there. There were 5 gentlemen ahead of us so the wait was going to be about 30 minutes. No problem! It looked like all the gals were fairly efficient and as one of them got done with a customer and he walked to the front desk to pay, I knew I came to the right place!
Frenchie took my son to her chair and got started right away. I showed her a picture of what he gets at the barber shop I usually took him to in Benicia (we used to live up there) and compared it to the chop job he just got. She agreed that he got a really bad cut, said she used to work at a barber shop and she could definitely fix it. She was so friendly and nice to my son and worked her magic.
She was very patient with him and did an outstanding job. His cut is so fresh and clean. She was so professional, accommodating and efficient. I loved the fact that she has clearly worked with little kids before. His new haircut is soooooooo much better than the one he got on Saturday and I am just so thankful that she was able to fix it.
THANK YOU so much Frenchie! We will definitely be coming back to see you again. You did an awesome job!
Note to the owner: You have a really nice place and are blessed to have Frenchie working there. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give this woman a raise! And keep her as long as you possibly can. She is EXCELLENT!

Sports clips in Blackhawk is my normal place to go… but the turnover in staff makes for an inconsistent experience. Stopped by this store a few weeks back and Sydney did a fantastic job. She took her time and the result was great.
I am always a fan of the MVP and I will definitely be coming back in a few weeks.

This is a great place to get a haircut, hot towel treatment and watch some sports while relaxing with the VIP treatment. Sydney is great, she has great attention to detail and a very friendly disposition.

I was hoping this would be our new go-​to spot for my 2 year old son, since reviews seemed to indicate it was child friendly. But while he was crying the whole time, Jordan just seemed distracted and gave an uneven cut. When I pointed out areas to fix, she’d respond «if he’d let me» each time, pretty much blaming him. She was clearly not comfortable cutting kids’ hair. Or maybe just mine.
Oh well. The search continues.
$ 16 for a kid haircut. She had a dinosaur for him to play with (which he didn’t want) and some dum dums. If your kid is into that, Sport Clips might work for you.

I only come to this place for haircuts. I ask for Jennifer every single time. She is sweet, funny, and gives a great haircut. She really wants you to leave the place happy with your hair and is the reason why I come back every time. The place is clean and has a fun theme. My favorite part is when they wash your hair and put the hot towel on your face (hands down the best part).

This place is great for a quick cut and it’s nice to get a lil massage every now and then. Kirstyn always takes great care of me and keeps me looking smooth! Thanks Kirstyn!

Jennifer is an excellent cutter, always friendly, understands her clients needs and a very crafty person. She really strives to ensure happy clients. 2 thumbs up for Jennifer and I fully recommend asking for her next time your considering who you’d like to cut your hair.

You’ll never know till you try it. Don, thank you for having this place organized the way it is. Very friendly personnel overall makes you feel welcome to the place. Donuts and lollipops for kids…

Great place to get a styled haircut. The atmosphere is very cool and friendly. Jordan knows what she was doing and she gave me great advice for someone who just moved into the area. Great place overall.

Sport Clips of San Ramon, you made me realize that there still exist, albeit dwindling in numbers, outstanding customer service. You went above and beyond the call of duty and for that I give you a 5-​Star. Even with the 25 minute wait, it was well worth it not only because Rachel, the hairstyle/​manager, was excellent at her trade by restoring my son’s hair back to looking civilized after a horrible cut at another location, everyone there was highly professional and kept the salon in mint condition. May your shop be blessed with more happy customers and 5-​star rating.

This update is long overdue. I am updating my review from a 1 star to a 5 star. The owner clarified the situation which wasn’t in his control. I really appreciate the extra effort he put in to follow up with the state and getting the go ahead to re-​implement the old policy of children sitting on their parent’s lap.
We have since started going to Sports Clips again at the San Ramon and Danville locations. As always, the staff is gracious and inviting. If anything, you should give your business to these two locations. The owner’s willingness to correct a complicated situation and his continued contributions to the local community.

I was ready to take Maverick to my stylist because no one was getting the undercut right. I don’t know why it so hard, his back cowlick or his front, but they end up fading and blending. I just wanted a solid hard line. And this kid who works there did an amazing job. Mav says it’s his favorite haircut and that his guy was solid. So we came on to give him a shout out. We came in for a school dance clean up and that’s exactly what we got.

Drove down from Sacramento to get my grandson a season pass for Christmas, sadly the franchisee at this location has decided to not offer any sort of pre-​paid plans, love Sports Clips, sad at the business execution of this franchisee who owns the Danville store as well…
