Loved this place! Gluten free was fairly ubundant on the menu which isn’t common for Italian restaurants, and I was told almost everything could be made gluten free. Loved the cozy feel of the place and the owners were amazing, even making a seating accommodation for us. My new favorite restaurant in Sandpoint!

Delicious food, lots of choices, gluten free pasta, nice atmosphere, Friday nights sometimes they have live music.

The food was great but we waited 45 minutes before we even got to order our food. We then had to wait another 45 minutes for our food to come. The music outside was so loud that we had to move inside. Waiter did give us free garlic bread for the inconvenience.

The four of us had a wonderful dinner at Arlo’s. We had a table on the deck although we should have probably opted for one inside as it was so hot outside, and, while the music was enticing, it got too loud for conversation even though it was a solo act. The food was good, and the service was really good. I had the mussels –half of the mussels didn’t open up. I would have expected the kitchen staff to have addressed that before it was brought up but they didn’t hesitate in replacing it once it was brought up to their attention. Sandpoint is such a beautiful area.

We had a really nice dinner on the deck overlooking Sand Creek. It was a bit too sunny in our spot so the staff repositioned an umbrella near us to give us just the right amount of shade. I’ve heard about the Artichoke appetizer, so had to give it a try. It was crazy delicious! This is a ten star app. Trust me. I had the Chicken Cacciatore and my husband had the Pasta Primavera. Both dishes were yummy. I’ve been offered fresh ground pepper at a restaurant before, but never parmesan by the spoonful. And as much as I wanted. Great way to start an evening in a pretty little town.

Had lunch there yesterday, Waitress very nice and attentive. nice atmosphere, sat out on the deck. Quiet and shaded with umbrellas. The rest of my party showed up and we ordered the«Artichoke Heart Francias»…one word, delicious… I ordered the Clam with White sauce pasta .that too was very good. I did encounter a bit of sand in the clams but I say that more as a heads up to Arlo’s. As for the complaints about not offering bread, I can understand the reasoning behind it. Speaking of bread, their Garlic bread is the best I’ve had in quite a while. The pro’s of this restaurant far out weigh any cons of which there are very few if any… Will I go back .yes,. Would I recommend it. .Definitely!

Honestly one of the best Italian places I have ever eaten at. I am very surprised to read some other reviews that did not rate Arlos’s very high. Overtime we have eaten here, the food has been out of this world. There has been a live musician playing the guitar when you walked in. And the wait staff is excellent. We just went here last night and there was a mother goose sitting on a a nest filled with eggs right outside the window overlooking the water. The experience is great. Plus the price is very inexpensive compared to Italian in Spokane.

I downloaded this app JUST so I could write a review about my husband and my worst dining experience ever. While the food was delicious, the service was awful, on a level I have never experienced. Our waitress was quite obviously DRUNK, running into things and slurring her words. She took over 15 minutes to bring us menus, forgot our drinks, and was watching TV instead of serving tables(to the two other couples there, also clearly upset) or bringing us our bill, taking plates, etc. She forgot our to go boxes twice, and the list goes on. For the first time in my life, I will be contacting management. This was our third time, and sadly every time has been similar but we wanted to give it a chance. We will not be back.

Quite possibly the worst dining experience my wife and I have ever had. The atmosphere was bizarre, no music, we climbed over a few things to get to out seats, and my wife didn’t take her coat off during the whole time we were there because it was so cold. The service was very poor. The waitresses didn’t know who was waiting on us, never introduced themselves, and were rather blunt, and entirely unconversational. We didn’t get a single refill and no one checked to see how the food was once it was served. While the garlic bread was good, the shrimp scampi was pretty lame and my wife’s Chicken and Sausage Scarpariello was only cooked about an eighth of an inch in. As in the middle was raw. Of course the waitress hadn’t checked in with us until she came to clear our plates, so by that point, we were pretty much done with the place. The one redeeming thing about the whole experience was that after the waitress hemmed and hawed at my wife’s plate and brought it back to the kitchen, someone decoded that dinner was on the house. Some consolation, but we certainly won’t be back.

I have eaten here a handful of times. I kept coming back hoping for a good experience but no such luck. First visit, Brought my family from AZ here. Five of us and hardly anyone else in the place. I had to get up from the table several times to ask for things like butter, silverware, another round of drinks… our server was to busy gossiping with the other female employee behind the bar to pay attention to our table. I know this is a family owned business which is why I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. If you are going to employ your children, for crying out loud please have them come to work dressed«presentable» The young man that always looks like he just rolled out of bed and does not know how to use a razor, so unprofessional! If his personal hygiene is that bad, well let’s just say it’s not appealing to the appetite! Food is so-so… Service a no-go!

Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter was fantastic! We sat out in the deck overlooking the water and it was beautiful. The kids both ordered off the kids menu and their food actually had flavor compared to most kids meals. Overall, we had a good time and good food!

DElicious food. I had the Jersey Tomato Salad and Minestrone(soup of the day). The salad was like a Greek salad with more tomatoes. It was full of fresh vegetables, including artichoke hearts, and crispy romaine. The soup was minestrone-like. The broth was thicker and it had an fuller overall taste. I sampled my family’s dishes as well. The Pesto Tortellini was phenomenal. Tender yet sturdy. The spaghetti my brother ordered had that same delicious pesto covering sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and shrimp. The pesto lingered in my mouth the entire meal, leaving me satisfied and able to appreciate it’s bold flavor. On top of everything, the service was nothing short of perfect. I felt like my best friend and favorite uncle were waiting on me. I felt comfortable and relaxed sitting on the patio overlooking the scenic river. **ALSO gluten-free options such as quinoa spaghetti

Hubby and I are seniors on the road so we split the Chicken Marsala. Both had plenty and agreed it was delicious! In fact, Chicken Marsala is one of my favorite dishes, and this was the best I’ve had. Try it! You’ll like it!

If you like Italian-American food, you should definitely stop by! It’s right in town, overlooks the water, and is a casual place to grab some great food… and the portions aren’t skimpy, if you know what I mean! The staff and owners are friendly and attentive, and you can sit out on the deck if you want. By the way, I highly recommend the Scallops A La Panna(sp?) and the garlic bread — scrumptious!

Tasty Italian-American fare in a cozy atmosphere. The bartender was accommodating and helped my girlfriend choose a wine. The menu was pretty expansive with lots of different choices, with Gluten-free options. My girlfriend ordered a dish with gluten-free pasta and that made the food take longer than it should have to come out. By that time, the veal she ordered was cold, but the staff was very apologetic and took it off the bill. All in all, what we had was good, the staff is accommodating, and the atmosphere is cozy and warm.

Basic red and white Italian American fare, nothing too scary, nothing too exciting. If you think olive garden is good you will like this place, otherwise it’s pretty ho-hum. 2.5 Stars
