Second worse place I’ve stayed in. Very outdated. Smelled really bad. Shower would get cold hot and cold. Someone tried to get into our room which was scary. I wouldn’t stay there again. Not worth the money.

My boyfriend and I had a chance to go to Cedar Point with our friends, but they bailed on us because it was raining. Since it was Sweetest Day(October 2011), we decided to still head up to Sandusky and make a weekend trip out of it. We never went to CP, but we still had fun. This place needs to CLOSEDOWN(and I think it may be, since we passed by it this weekend(October 2013), and there was a sign out front that said«FREESTUFF» and it was very deserted. Cheap isn’t always good… sometimes it is, but other times, it’s not. Since we were only staying in Sandusky the one night, we figured we wouldn’t be in the room much. We headed to dinner at Brown Derby(which is completely closed for good now) and after dinner we roamed around Sandusky a little bit. The TV came on in the middle of the night, and the remote was on the other side of the room. There was no hot water. The room we stayed in was directly above the check-in area, and there was a small enclosed hallway with 2 other rooms. The whole night, there were people talking loudly outside our door and smoking. There was no heat and in October, it can get cold. We woke up early in the morning because we both weren’t comfortable, with no heat. We decided to take a hot shower, and nope… no hot water. We decided to leave early and get breakfast. We complained at check-out of all the problems and we were told that we should of said something earlier. When we’re in hotels… we expect to wake up and have a nice hot shower, have a good breakfast, have a great nights sleep. Hotels always say they make the best out of peoples stay, but in reality, they don’t. Management just wants your money!

Stayed here one night in June after a trip to Cedar Point. The staff was very nice and even gave my son an entire set of Avengers room keys. It’s little things like that, that make a big difference. The room was what you would expect, it was clean but seemed it could use a remodel. Im glad we stopped here, it was a decent low cost place to sleep and shower, before the long journey home.
