Friendly staff and very clean place. I love the place atmosphere and it’s very conveniently located.

I went to Galla’s for lunch on the weekend. It was empty. By the time I had ordered I was the only one dining in at the restaurant. I had ordered a Beef on Weck as a coworker had been talking about Buffalo and all of it’s great food with the Beef on Weck being one of the staples. I didn’t get my sandwich for about 20 minutes which was disappointed considering I was the only one in the restaurant. A group that came in after me ordered the same sandwich got it almost in 5 minutes. I’m sure they just forgot my order but still disappointing because the sandwich was great. Hopefully service will be better the next time.

The pizza was soggy, greasy and all the ingredients slid off in the grease on the first bite. The marinara sauce for the little rolls tasted sour.

I ordered a cheesesteak for takeout because I heard their sandwiches were good. Paid and was walking out the door and realized there were not any chips or pickle in the bag. Walked back inside and was told chips and pickle only come with dine in. Seriously!!! Really disappointed I spent over $ 12 on just a cheese steak sandwich. Sandwich was good but not great, especially for that price without chips. Full Disclosure: We order takeout monthly for work during our busy week when staying late. Wings are definitely pretty good. Pizza is just ok. This sounds crazy, but the cheese does not taste very cheesy, a rather bland mozzarella. It would also be better if they used more sauce. Not sure if Buffalo NY style pizza means very little sauce, but I can’t ever taste the sauce on the pizza. Given that, Galla’s pizza is still better than most chain pizza places.

I live in Dunwoody and my house is 4.6 miles from this location. I have been delivered pizza to my house many times from this location. Today I was told they are reverting back to their«original rules» and only delivering within a 3 mile radius. I was told my order minimum must be $ 100 to go an extra 1.6 miles. I had planned on an order that would have been $ 50+ before tax, delivery fee and tip. I cannot understand how it is good business to turn away a $ 50 order because you do not want to drive an additional 3.2 miles. I assume they are doing too well and only need part of the business in Dunwoody. Make sure you check your distance before considering a delivery order. There are many other pizzerias in the area that are the caliber of Gallas.

You can find this location of Galla’s Pizza at 1155 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA30338 in the shopping center at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Perimeter Center West(right where it transforms into Abernathy). It’s at the end of the building on the upper North side. While Galla’s to me isn’t fantastic pizza, it’s definitely worth trying as I think many will like the options and ability to order slices — something you don’t see much outside of Fellini’s. I like to experiment with slices to find that just-perfect combination. Try a slice of sausage, jalapeño and pineapple, for instance. Or do something basic if that’s your style — it’s all available here. You’ll get a hit of pizza and parmesan when you open the door — love that. I’ve tried some of the other menu options, like the wings and subs. While they are all good, basic fare, the lemon wings are exceptional(if you like that style) — they’ll do them up crispy. I’m usually more of a buffalo style guy but the lemon here are the bomb. I basically work across the street a block at Northbrook so this is an easy walk. You order at the counter at Galla’s and the pizza comes out quickly. It can get a bit messy at busy lunch times as there isn’t that much space up front but you get that at Fellini’s too. I’ve only been here once in the evening and it was very laid back — not a bad place to get snacks and have a couple of brews.

I grew up in Rochester NY, about an hour from Buffalo, where this companies recipes originate. I grew up on great pizza and wings. Today, i tried Gallas for the first time. To accurately gauge their quality, i ordered one of their specialty pies: steak and three cheese, with an order of of medium wings. I was just trying to gauge their«average». I had a wing. just to try… as soon as i got home! Wow! Nostalgia! These wings tasted absolutely identical to my hometown local chain: Pontillo’s Pizzeria. Amazing.

Not really a fan of this place. I have been here a few times over the past two years only since it is across the street from my office. When I am tired of eating Chick Fil A, it is the closest casual lunch spot. My colleagues love the antipasta salad here. Ironically my meal is always the last one to show up whenever I come here. It does not make a difference whether I order first, middle, or last. This past Tuesday it was dress up like a cow day at Chick Fil A in order to get a free sandwich. Thought it was a joke but it must have been true because the line was soooo long at Chick Fil A that a lot of the overflow went to Gallas. Gallas was packed at noon. I was determined to order something that would not take long to make and not have to wait longer than my colleagues. In the past, every time I order a salad and pizza, it comes last to the table. The quality of the food is okay for the price but not worth the additional wait. This time I opted for the buffalo chicken wrap. It came 20 min after everyone at my table got their pizzas and salads. Ridiculous! The buffalo chicken wrap was average but again not worth the additional wait time. Begrudgingly I may come back here out of convenience and in an attempt to be a team player at work. I will stick to the antipasta salad which is probably the best thing on the menu. Hope my food will come in a timely manner next time!

My husband and I have lived in the Sandy Springs area for the past year. During this time, we’ve been frequent Galla’s customers, ordering online every couple of weeks and occasionally attending trivia or bingo night at the restaurant. The food is always great and our experience is usually pleasant; Tonight could not have been more different. I ordered on their website and realized that I’d made a mistake with my order. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, Bob, and asked if I could make a change. He informed me that the pizza was already finished, so no changes could be made to the order. That’s fine. No big deal. It was my mistake. However, when the pizza had still not been delivered an hour later, I called back. I spoke to Bob again who, I guess, didn’t remember that we’d already spoken. He assured me that my pizza was being taken out of the oven right now and that the driver would be at our house within 20 minutes. I didn’t address the fact that he’d previously informed me that our pizza was already done, an hour prior. But whatever. I just want pizza. Thirty five minutes pass and the driver finally arrives. He had trouble finding our admittedly hard-to-locate apartment. That’s fine too! He was exceptionally polite and we tipped him graciously. However, our pizza was ice cold and raw in the middle. I called back to the store to see if there was any way we could get a new pizza since this one was practically inedible. Bob, the manager, told me that the driver was«a knucklehead» and that the cost of our meal would be deducted from the driver’s pay and that they would give us a credit towards a future order. I told Bob that his name calling of an employee was unprofessional and that we did not want the credit if the driver’s pay was going to be affected by it. He was polite and did his job well, finding an apartment that even iMaps can’t locate. Bob informed me that it was company policy and that his pay would be docked, regardless of whether or not we received the credit. I told Bob that we don’t make a habit out of visiting places with bad business practices that treat that employees poorly and that we would not be ordering from Galla’s again. I ended the conversation politely and he huffed«Have a nice life» into the phone. About five minutes later, Bob called me back, this time from what I assume was a personal cell phone number. He informed me that he wasn’t «some rich prick» and that the delivery driver was«a screw-up» and that he didn’t want to lose me as a customer. When I tried to speak, he spoke over me, eventually screaming into the phone. He told me that he had all of my information and that if I wrote a negative Unilocal review, he would sue me. Bring it on, Bob. I asked him if he was the owner of Galla’s. He immediately hung up on me. Dealing with this man was an absolute nightmare. I can only imagine the torture that the employees at this location must endure, having a manager that is such a loose cannon.

Three stars because it’s the only place I know of even trying to represent Buffalo. I’ve been looking everywhere in and around ATL to find a real Chicken Finger Sub(CFS to all my Buffalonians) and real Buffalo style pizza. The good news is these things are on the menu. The bad news is they just aren’t that good. Let’s start with the CFS. The bread is all wrong. There is nothing worse than a CFS with a bready roll. It’s def no Jim’s or even a Mike’s. It actually reminds me of a Wegmans CFS, which sounds like it would be good, but even the almighty Wegmans can do wrong, and CFS’ are one of them. If you’re from Buffalo you’re nodding you’re head. If you’re not, just disregard this paragraph, you will never find a decent CFS outside of Buffalo. Now for the pizza. For everyone complaining about it being too cheesy and greasy, that’s the point. Let me give you a little lesson: Buffalo sits in the middle between NYC and Chicago. Our pizza is a hybrid of the two, very thick, very cheesy, generous with toppings, but not a deep dish. It sits somewhere in the middle. It’s not easy to make and probably more expensive to make than the thin crust barely anything on it pizzas around here. But even after all that, I still don’t think Galla’s pizza is up to par. It’s not bad, but it’s nothing special. My hopes were too high.

Very good pizza, however — – Went to this location with a friend. Pizza is a little expensive, atmosphere great. I would recommend this pizza as take-out only, though, as you pay first when you order and then sit down. Pizza does come to the table, and that’s it. If you want more to drink or a box to take home you fend for yourself. They kinda forget about ‘ya. !

My office orders Galla’s Pizza all the time because it’s one of the few places in the Perimeter area that will deliver food. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with this place because we order it so often at work. However, when it’s the weekend and I don’t want to cook. And he doesn’t want to cook. And we want to eat pizza. And we don’t want Papa John’s. And we don’t eat Pizza Hut… what’s left?(Besides Mellow Mushroom). The pizza at Galla’s is good. Chewy crust and they mix flavor/toppings well with their specialty pizzas. On this particular occasion, I ordered the Steak and 3 Cheese pizza. Remember how I said I have a love/hate thing with Galla’s? This is probably THE pizza that displays it. I gave into the steak thing because it’s different AND you can add hot peppers to it. Spicy pizza is my thing. I did my order online, picked it up, and when I had it in my car, that’s when I started hating it. There’s something stinky about that cheese especially when it’s just out of the oven and sitting in the carton. But we dug right into it and it was so good. I think the only thing I might dislike is it they they cut their pizza into squares. I know you can request to have it cut into the traditional triangular slices, but I always forget to ask. One can’t fully enjoy the crust if he/she gets a center piece. Anyway, besides the Steak and 3 Cheese, I’ve had some other off-the-wall pies like the Eggplant Parmigiana or the Buffalo Chicken pizzas. They sound weird, but they’re tasty. I think I’ll continue my love/hate relationship with Galla’s. I might actually be sad if they disappeared.

Went to Galla’s because it was close to the office… had ben there once before, forgot what I ordered… tells you all you need to know about the 1st impression of the place. Chicken Parm sub, fries and a drink were $ 15 — no problem if it’s good. Bread was average and blah. Sauce, Average and blah. Chicken, average and blah.(seeing the theme???) Nothing horrible, didn’t get sick or anything, place was clean, but completely average to below… but it was packed at lunch… guess clean and mediocre is acceptable for lunch in the area…

First of all, let me tell you that Galla’s food doesn’t accurately represent what you would get from a Buffalo area pizzeria. Galla’s pizza is «Buffalo style» which doesn’t mean it’s what all pizza is like in Buffalo. Compared to Buffalo: Galla’s large pizza is only 16″ while most Buffalo shops are 17″, 18″ or even larger. You won’t find any pizzeria passing off a 16″ pizza as a large in Buffalo. Also, you would find much more flavor in the pizza. The crust on Galla’s pizza was lacking and they didn’t use any spices to give their pizza any flavor. They also cut their pizza into 12 squares or 12 slices. All Buffalo area pizzerias cut their pizza’s into 8 slices with the exception of Just(the worst) Pizza. The chicken fingers I had were OK… nothing special. Compared to Atlanta: This might be one of the best pizzerias in all of metropolitan Atlanta. You wouldn’t go here for a“New York” style pizza. Stop leaving this place bad reviews because you moved from New York City and you think your pizza is better than all others. If you aren’t familiar with Buffalo style pizza, Google Bocce club, Leonardi’s, or Picassos. You will find some pictures of some of the most amazing Pizza’s you have ever seen.

«A lovely cheese pizza, just for me.» — Home Alone(1990) I have been eating Galla’s Pizza for years, but until now had never walked in the door. On this occasion I had placed an online order(wow the convenience) and was going in to pick it up(I live outside the delivery area, which is sad). This is where they fall short. I walked in at 12:45pm on a Tuesday and the line was to the door(almost going out the door). First, there is no where for the line to go because there is a bookshelf right by the door. This is a problem as people are trying to leave and there is a line of people waiting to order. Second, there was one girl working the register and no place for me to go but to wait in the line. I had ordered, paid and my pizza was sitting there(on a warming shelf) and I had to wait for 8 people to place ordered before I could get my pizza. This took 12 minutes. There should be a place for me to walk up and grab my order and not wait in the line — period. Once it was my turn, it took less than a minute for the woman to check my order and give it to me. Now let’s talk food — I love their pizza. They have a ton of Specialty Pizzas, but you can also build your own. Their ingredients are always fresh and flavorful, crispy yet chewy crust and a fabulous selection of cheeses. My favorites are: White Pizzas: Chicken in the grass — olive oil, Italian spices, Romano cheese, covered in roasted spinach and grilled chicken, and topped with four imported cheeses. The Sicilian –sliced tomatoes, Italian olive oil, Italian spices, Romano cheese, onions and green peppers, pepperoni. Note: you can get this with hot peppers if you prefer and sausage if you prefer. I like it with the green peppers and the pepperoni, myself. Spinach and Ricotta — Oven roasted spinach, fresh mushrooms and onions mixed over creamy ricotta cheese and then covered with mozzarella. Red Pizzas: The Works — red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, green and black olives, green peppers, onions, and Italian sausage. And my favorite: Meatza Pizza — red sauce, creamy mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, bacon, sausage, and ground beef. The oddball that I enjoy: BBQ Chicken — grilled chicken marinated in smokey barbecue sauce covered with mozzarella and onions, topped with bacon and cheddar cheese. I know, it sounds weird, but it’s pretty damn good. I also enjoy their salads a lot. I usually get the Greek and add artichoke hearts. My only complaint is that they use canned black olives instead of kalamatas. It isn’t a true Greek salad without kalamatas. Those canned ones taste like the can, unfortunately. But I enjoy the salad nonetheless. Overall, Galla’s is a solid pizza joint with great food offerings. They just have got to fix their in-house service. I do need to come in and dine, but I just did not have the time yesterday. I will give them a shot to serve me on site. However, make a pick up line, Galla’s. I saved you time ordering online and you didn’t have to process my credit card or take my order. Least you could do is help me out by not letting my pizza get cold and let me run in and grab my food. And give the poor girl up front some help!

«Do not eat garlic or onions; for their smell will reveal that you are a peasant.» — Cervantes, Don Quixote I checked in with Unilocal and got free garlic knots, and then every other place I checked in to that day became subject to my garlic breath! SUPER garlicy, but that is how this peasant likes ‘em! Galla’s serves up decent pizza, for some reason I prefer the Peachtree Rd location slices. Service at the counter here is very friendly. Great beer specials. Between cheap beer and cheap lunch specials, lunch money goes far here. Galla’s, good food for the downtrodden.
