The Joint ...the Chiropractic Place

As an NPC fitness competitor I was looking for something I could easily fit into my fitness regimen to help my joints and release the stress and tension I constantly put on them with lifting weights. The Joint was the answer to my fitness prayers! I am in and out usually within 10 minutes, which fits perfectly into my busy lifestyle. The doctors there are very in tune with my needs for fitness competitions. They even introduced me to getting my jaw adjusted. I hadn’t thought about how much tension I carried in jaws due to weightlifting. To all my fitness competitor friends if you are looking for something affordable to make a big difference in your routine this is it. Go see the fabulous ladies at the Sandy Springs location today!

Dr. Erika is the best. I travel from Brookhaven once a week for my adjustment. I highly recommend this location. Friendly and professional staff!

I’ve been going to The Joint to see Dr. Erika for almost 2 years now. She is by far the best chiropractor that I’ve ever seen. She’s always thourough, personable and professional! The front desk staff is also always happy and upbeat and always remembers my first and last name (I think that says a lot considering the fact that I’m sure they have a large following). Ok… enough about the staff and how great they are, you won’t believe that it gets even better! I have a plan with The Joint that allows me to come in 4 times a month for $ 49, can’t beat that considering the fact that this is quality chiropractic care. They also have locations nationwide that I can use when I’m traveling for holidays or on vacation. All in all, I think its definetely worth giving them a try… you can thank me later!

I’ve been a member with The Joint for over a year. They have a great concept– wellness chiropractic care at an affordable price & they accept my HSA. When I’ve visited other locations, while traveling with work, I’ve noticed that their locations are typically in shopping centers that you likely already visit– talk about convenient!
On my initial visit– I was taken through a consultation (discussing my previous heath history & my current issue {upper back pain}), next the chiropractor took time to educate me on what chiropractic is and how an adjustment can help the body, then the chiropractor took me through an exam. After it was determined that chiropractic care could help my back pain, I was given a thorough adjustment. The chiropractor started at my feet and worked all the way up my spine– not just focusing on my upper back.
Follow up visits are convenient– they have a sign in the waiting area saying «5 minutes a week» for regular care, and boy do they mean it! My weekly checkups take about 5 minutes– which allows me to fit adjustments into my busy lifestyle.

I am finally breaking down on this place. The services simply and purely are disappointing. I have been paying my monthly service for over a year with one attempt to cancel but without success since I have to physically walk in and cancel my membership for 30 days in advance or I will be billed every month without even getting adjustments.
The «doctors» working there treat everyone like another number. There is not much service involved. I have started going to my old Charopracter again since their services were not doing much for me. I’ve lost my wallet recently so the card I had on file was no longer active, therefore the receptionist working the front desk has been blowing up my phone as I owe her a million bucks. I did speak to her on one occasion and clearly told her I will update my payment information the next time I will come in for an adjustment. Since I am going to my Charopracter that charges 3 times as much as them but with positive revolving results, I did not had a chance to go for an adjustment or update my payment information.
I have been seeing missed calls from The Joint on my phone several times in the last week knowing why they are calling but not wanted or needing to explain my self to them or anyone for that matter. As of this afternoon, I receive a call from The Joint, which just happens that I was available to speak and did answer the incoming call. The receptionist at the front desk was on the other end of the line telling me that I needed to update my payment information. I clearly told her for the second time that nothing has changed from the last time we spoke and that I will do that when I will stop in for an adjustment. She then attempted to get a card over the phone or wanting to know exactly when I am going to come in and update my payment information.
Let’s stop there for a second and analyze this situation.
1). I am forced to go to another Charopracter due to their inaptitude to do what they are there for, simply do their job.
2). I am paying for a service that I don’t need which I must go out of my way to cancel.
3). I don’t mind paying because is simply to cheap to not pay.
4). I do not like being harassed by anyone in general never less by someone I am not satisfied with, in this case with their services being just about useless.
The receptionist on the phone got aggressive and I have responded aggressively also. I ended up walking in there a few minutes later wanting to cancel the membership. I refused to fill any paper work for that and asked them to do it for me since is their job not mine. I was refused that privilege. I have asked for upper management information like a phone number or an email and I was denied that request by the «Doctor» Erika or the receptionist.
I have told both of them to never call me ever again and directed both of them towards a specific direction.
I am a small business owner and I know you can never satisfy everyone but you can at least try. From my dealings to this place for over a year and ending up at my initial Charopracter that I’ve known for roughly 15 years for real results, I would say this is a good place to waste $ 50 a month if you have it to waste. I would not be surprised if this business at this location is failing miserably. It would only be due to their careless and useless service. I am very curious what their customer retention is? I bet is under 25%, making this place a failing business.
Want to waste time, money and endure some more pain?- I highly recommend this place.

Staff was nice. Adjustment was horrible. Paid $ 39 to be taken care of for 3 minutes. Only adjusted my legs and my neck. Did nothing to my back, waste of money. Will not be going back.

TL: DR Make sure you know EXACTLY what you’re signing up for, and make sure to cancel WELL in advance.
Fairly disappointed in their business practices. I walked in for the $ 20 «walk in» special, and got adjusted. After that was finished I ended up «buying» what I thought was a non recurring, one time $ 59 for four visits deal. The other option I had was a $ 300, six month deal with four visits a month. The $ 300 plan was more than I was willing to commit to something I wasn’t sure would help. So I went two more times, and while being adjusted felt great it didn’t really resolve the issues. I also felt like it was a bit rushed. You’re in and out in less than five minutes. And while I’m sure that has positive aspects for someone in a rush, it wasn’t to my liking.
Here is where the problem starts. So I looked through my credit card statement and saw two more additional $ 59 charges for the the next two months after the initial one I signed up for. I called them and they claim that I didn’t sign up for a one time $ 59 charge, but a monthly wellness plan. I also had already fulfilled the two month requirement, but couldn’t cancel over the phone. So I put a block on the merchant with my card, and went to the place to cancel. It gets comical at this point. Not only will they not refund the third month (December), but since I’m not giving 30 days notice they are going to charge me again at the end of January.(today is the 2^nd)
I almost feel like I should go in and get adjusted, since I have a «month» left… but then I thought, would you let someone who screwed you over, adjust your spine?

I finally initiated my treatment yesterday, and was very satisfied. After Dr Erika adjusted me I felt brand new! She is very professional and the receptionists are always very friendly! The payment plan is very affordable too. I am very excited to go for my next visit!

I came to The Joint about a month ago for some neck issues. After the initial visit the Dr stated that I needed multiple adjustments so I was offered the Premium Wellness Plan that required a 6 month commitment but was only $ 49/​mo or the Wellness Plan that was $ 59/​mo month-​to-​month (both allowing 4 visits a month). I decided that I would start commitment-​free to see how it went. When I was filling out the paperwork I came across a form that stated that my account would be debited $ 59/​mo automatically each month. I told the receptionist that I did not want that to happen unless I saw that the treatment was working. She said it was no problem and would make a note on my paperwork that stated that I should be notified before the next billing cycle to see if I want to continue treatment with them, but in order to be enrolled into the plan I had to initial the form. Okay. I went through my 4 visits and was not satisfied with the results and decided to try another route. When I checked my account I saw that my account had been charged the membership fee of $ 59 for the next month. I called in and explained what happened was told that the receptionist that had signed me up was no longer working there. Okay, so. Not my problem, right? I was told I would receive a call back. When they did call back I was told that «that girl» that had signed me up was no longer with them, there were no notes on my account and there was nothing they could do. What followed was me trying to explaining myself multiple times only to hear back, «Yeah, I’m sorry about that, but you initialed the form and there’s no note and that girl’ doesn’t work here anymore» in a very not sorry way. The conversation finally ended when I admitted that it was my fault because I didn’t make sure that ‘that girl’ did her job correctly. Thank you for taking accountability for your employees, their mistakes, and your poor training!!!

Love this place. Dr. Erika is fantastic. Love the program of 4 adjustments per month for. $ 49. That’s total… not each. No appointment needed and convenient to home and shopping. In the Publix center on Abernathy road to the left of Publix and Ippolitos. Staff is very friendly and pleasant.
