Although everything we tried was good, from the Ocopa to the Ceviche. But the item that realy stood out was the Picarones. Ridiculously tasty. Seriously, I’m not a big dessert guy but that item(sweet potato and pumpkin fritters) is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Trust me, it’s worth the trip even if that’s the only thing you try.

The owner is super friendly. The food is very fresh. The house made chili sauce is fantastic and not too hot. The food is made to order so be prepared to wait. The wait staff is friendly but nothing to write home about. There seems to be a disconnect with the owners vision and the wait staff level of service.

As someone who has spent time in Peru, this restaurant couldn’t be any more authentic! The food is cooked when you order and is impeccable. The flavors are spot on and the portions are just right. Some people have complained about wait times for food, but I’m not sure what they were expecting — it’s not a fast food restaurant! The restaurant is run by the Peruvian family that owns it, and I had no complaints about service. Sure, there isn’t a server at your table every 5 minutes, but the staff is friendly and sure to get you whatever you need. Before our meal was even done, we were already talking about coming back and bringing friends. Definitely recommending to all our friends!

What a nice restaurant with great service and even better food! It is true, unfortunately, that the food takes is a little time to come out. But it is SO worth the wait! I had been here once before, on a very busy night. I thought the food was great once it got to the table — 40 minutes after we had ordered it. We didn’t come back because we have a toddler who can get very bored waiting while stuck on a high chair. Tonight though was different. Customer flow was steady but not high so we had outstanding service and food on the table after(only) 15 minutes! I know 15 min can still be a lot for some but really, the food is delicious and fresh and you almost want to cry when you’re having your last bite… I didn’t want to finish my dish! I recommend the lomo saltado, seco and picarones. I am Peruvian and can be very critical of my country’s dishes and this restaurant made me feel right at home :-) One other piece of information: yes, they may take a few minutes to notice you’re waiting to be seated. I was sitting by the main entrance and noticed other parties arriving, and getting frustrated for the wait. PLEASEPLEASE try not to start your meal on a bad note! It seems like it is a family business, mom and dad cooking and kids bussing, serving and hosting at the same time. The most they took to seat a party was 4 minutes, as all the staff was in the kitchen. After we were done the chef and owner(a mom) came out to greet us and asked how the food was. I always appreciate that gesture. Maracuya(passion fruit) juice is also a must! It was not in the menu I was given but I asked and they did have it. Thanks groupon for making me give this place a second chance — so glad I did!

Ok, here comes probably one my longest reviews yet… I don’t know how I can give a place 1 star but this place truly deserved it. One of my friends had some gift certificates and wanted to go to this place for their Peruvian cuisine. I was excited to try out some Peruvian food and some Ceviche. Upon entering we were greeted with a room temperature so high that I could have sworn I flew the 3 thousand miles to Peru itself. After waiting for about 15 minutes for the hostess to greet us for a table she stated to us that the Ice Maker was broken and that they were out of their ceviche :(. The atmosphere(sans heat) was nice and dark but it did look very dated. We were seated and then about 15 minutes later our waitress(which happened to be the hostess) greeted herself and then ran off for several more minutes without asking or taking a drink order. The heat in this place was miserable and to be without a beverage was pretty unbearable. The waitress came back and we asked for drinks and we received them over 10 minutes later. The service was minimal at best. We ordered some apps The Jalea and the Papa a la Hunaisca? sp. It took about 50 minutes for the apps to come out. The Jalea which is deep fried seafood was good It was a little colder than it should have been and the Shrimp that was served were not cleaned properly, There were shells through out them. The food here minus the Jalea was really good and plated really well, but most of our dishes were cold when they were supposed to be hot. I ordered the Lomo Saltado which I enjoyed just not fully. We paid and tipped average, and left the place. upon driving off we were flagged down by I guess the owner and stated that we could only use one gift certificate. We explained that these were gift certificates and the didn’t state one per table per visit.(which I’m familiar with my grouponing). Our waitress stated that she will honor it this time. We held back our frustration because of this. This whole experience really ruined my outlook to Peruvian cuisine. What should have taken an hour to eat took over 2 hours total! I’m really surprised that this place is still open. There were a lot of faults and not many points of greatness. The real shame is that if they hired 2 more people and have some sort of plan when an ice maker goes out, this review would may have more than 1 star.

Go there… a groupon success story. It was the thing that got me to try it and I’ll be going back. The beef and lima bean… yum, yum, yum. The steak strips SOOOO reminiscent of Café Pierpont’s fajitas and I got the pasta with the different kind of pesto… pretty good, I would have liked it with a big salad too. Wish they could get a better choice for alcohol! Decent ambiance once we walked in the restaurant…

I found this place through Unilocal, and was pleasantly surprised. It is decidedly not what I would term as Mormon cuisine! Fresh and flavorful dishes(the BF had a seafood stew type plate, and I had ceviche) were the antidote to a 9 hour day in the car. It’s unlike any type of cuisine I’ve encountered before, and would so be back were it a tad closer to my home. The only bummer is that they(at the time we were there) only offered beer on the adult beverages menu. While others indicate the food takes time to prepare, we did not wait as long as we’d expected, perhaps because we were the only ones in the place at 8.30 at night.

My wife and I first went here because we had a Groupon and had never tried«Peruvian» cuisine. We’ve been back at least 4 different times since bringing our family and friends with us. They all rave about this place. The food is quite amazing. The nouveau andino cuisine strikes me as French in it’s sophistication and presentation but unique in the variety of the dishes. The lomo saltado is what I’ve had twice and I think it’s my favorite dish. It’s deliciously seasonEd beef strips with onions and wedge steak fries on rice. Make sure you also try one of their unique deserts since you won’t be able to find them anywhere else. My wife gets the Tallarin Verde everytime and loves it. It’s a pasta dish with onions, tomatoes and a spinach pesto sauce. She once ordered and Inca cola as an experiment but it wasn’t to her liking(probably one of those things you wouldn’t enjoy unless you already had acquired a taste for it, like rootbeer). I think this restaurant is the best in the area and the price is very reasonable for the quality of the food prepared. The décor and atmosphere of the place was good the first time we came, but it’s gotten even better since since. The restaurant has a very relaxed and yet intimate atmosphere.

Finally a place to get some really good Lomo saltado in this town. I went for opening day, heard about on FB. It was a little disappointing that their first day, they weren’t serving the lunch special listed on the menu, or a few of their best sounding dishes. I was looking forward to trying soup and dessert, and for $ 10, the quality was pretty good. They also featured a little sample of a few ceviche’s which were very delicious. Only a beer license so far, but they have Inka Cola which is all I need. They also did an ok job at the décor, but the sign is very hard to see or read when you drive by. Just think 711, then look next door. +5 points for the awesome bossa nova music selection.

This food was so fresh and good. We passed the building twice before realizing the name was inscribed on the difficult to read sign. Really glad that we found it. Friendly staff and attentive service.

Unassuming looks at first but great food. The Tallarin Verde was delicious, well spiced but not over the top, it just made for a really good dish. All of the dishes were unique but not so much to be intimidating. Be prepared to wait a long time, not due to bad service, just the fact that it takes a while for your food to be made fresh. Service was great, very friendly and attentive.

We had never eaten Peruvian food until tonight. What a great start! It was delicious and the staff were eager to educate us on the cuisine. The owner greeted us, and we learned she and her son just opened the restaurant 9 months ago. They are very nice, the food was fresh, service was good: they have a great present and even better future

El Inti cooks up some kickin’ Peruvian food. All dishes are made to order, so don’t come here expecting to get in and get out in a matter of minutes. The food is Amazing, with a capital A. Flavors were bright, pastas were cooked perfectly al-dente(yes, Peruvian food includes pasta!), and the deserts were tasty. Even the presentation of our meals was excellent and plated beautifully. I had the vegan vergmicelli pasta with fried eggplant. The flavor was so unexpected and so intensly delicious, that I… well, honestly, I’m still at a loss for words. Just trust me: SO. GOOD. A huge plus is that El Inti clearly marks which dishes are vegetarian and which ones can be made vegan.(YAY!) El Inti is a local & family owned treasure.

Went back for round two… Got the Ceviche Limeño, it was awesome. The service was better, I still think they need to work on it. You do have to wait for your food, so if you are in a hurry not the place to choose. If you have an hour to kill, and want some amazing food. This is the place, as ol’ Brigham would say.

We enjoyed a really good dinner at El Inti last weekend. The appetizer called ocopa consisted of sliced potatoes served with a green cheese sauce. The sauce was very tasty. Though the names of the main dishes elude me now, I do remember them being very good. Entrée #1: Chicken in a creamy, milky yellow sauce blended with all kinds of goodies, served with rice and potatoes. Entrée #2: Vegetarian vermicelli pasta, served with fried zucchini and eggplants. The fried vegetables were incredibly delicious. I know the fried bit adds the incredible to delicious but still. At El Inti, all vegetables are either natural or organic. The difference was quite visible with the zucchini and eggplants. The meat is also natural. They prepare the dishes fresh. So be prepared to wait. Though it wasn’t all too bad for us that night. The service was prompt and friendly. Almost everyone, including a couple of waiters, the owner, and even the chef came to check on us. The only disappointment was the drinks(alcohol) menu. Just a couple of standard off the shelf beers. Not even wine. For a place advertising itself as a slightly upscale eatery, that was a letdown. But the food and everything associated with it was all very good. Besides they have quite a few options for vegetarians which makes it 4-star worthy to me. And I’ll definitely make it a point to check out their dessert menu next time. It looked very inviting!

I really hate to have to give El Inti only 3 stars because the meal I ate was fantastic, but there were some things that took our 4 star experience down to 3 stars. Lets start with the good aspects. I ordered a dish which was Mahi Mahi covered in seafood sauce. The sauce contained mussels, squid, shrimp, onions and tomatoes. It was fabulous. The Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked, the shrimp and squid were tender and flavorful and the entire dish had a wonderful combination of spices. Even the mussels, which are my least favorite bivalve, were good. Now for the less than pleasant aspects. First and foremost on this list is that my wife’s meal came out on the cold side of luke warm. It was a nice sauce with strips of steak, onions and tomatoes in it and if not for the unacceptable temperature, the dish would have been very good. This is the primary reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 4. Additionally, our server was nice, but he did not refill our waters until he brought the check and he did not know the menu when I asked him questions about the entrees.

I apologize in advance for not remembering the names of the food we ate here. it’s been a few weeks. we tried several dishes– 2 apps(a potato dish and a salad), 2 entrees(a seafood dish with cream sauce and a tofu dish with french fries and vegetables), 2 desserts(an amazing flan and pumpkin donuts). all of it was great. the owners came out and talked to us quite a bit– they were SO friendly and it feels good to support local businesses like these. momma in the kitchen takes pride in what she does and her son was very proud of her as well. he was a very attentive waiter and informative when it came to the food and options. there was only one other table in the place– so let’s help them out. take a trip to the midvale/sandy border and enjoy some home cooked food. end the night with the picarones– delicious donuts. mmmm… also, they are vegan/vegetarian friendly. there’s a lot of vegans in this town so i know they’ll appreciate it!

Went here armed with gift certificates from Kostizi and had a good experience. First off, the bad: the service was terribly slow, as in it took us nearly two hours to get through the meal and my water wasn’t refilled a single time. The people I was eating with actually lived in Peru years ago and said this is quite common there. Good for them, but I like the pace slightly elevated. The manager was aware of the issues and apologized, explaining they’re still learning the restaurant business. Fair enough, and I wasn’t in a hurry anyway. The good: We started with a pitcher of their limenade, which was great and very fresh. We also ordered a starter, the Papa a la Huancaina, which was basically potato slices in a sort of hollandaise sauce. Not spicy or rich, but a good opening. We shared four entrees, each of which was great: The Seco, which was steak in a cilantro gravy-type sauce with lime beans and rice. Ají de Gallina, basically stewed chicken in a creamy yet light sauce with rice. Tallarin Verde, a lightly breaded slab of chicken with vermicelli and pesto. Excellent, even if it seemed to be more like a chicken parmesean than what one would expect from South America. The Ceviche, fresh fish cured in cirtrus juices with onions and onions with potatoes on the side. All were great, with the Tallerin being the star. The quality of the food made up the wait, mostly. We finished off the night not with the Picarones we ordered, which were still rising apparently, but with some spongy pieces of cake imported from a bakery down the road. Good, but not awesome. And lightly sweet, which was another sign of Peruvian authenticity according to my guests. Overall it was a mixed experience but the food was good enough to outweigh the inconveniences. If it were a national chain I’d be pissed, but a locally owned joint will always get the benefit of the doubt. I’ll come back to this place.
