Super fun activity for group events or birthday parties! It’s a far drive out to Sanford Zoo! But if its a special occasion I deem its worth it. I had to call in two weeks in advance to book my birthday party. When we arrived, I saw that they had a arranged a designated zone for the laser tag with obstacles and tents. We were instructed how to use the guns and what would happen if we lost a life. The guns were awesome because they even talked and provided feedback whenever you were hit. We even had a vest and hat to be used as targets for laser tag and they were in camouflage print. All of us played two long rounds and were given pizza which is included in the birthday package when we were all done. They however do not provide cake and refreshments so you have to bring your own. I had such a fun time and definitely reccomend this for anyone wanting to play laser tag. on a final note, You will be SORE the next day from a holding a heavy gun and running and crouching around the battle ground! Hahaha!

I brought my son here for a birthday party and the kids seemed to have an OK time. They were given quick instructions and geared up for the games. I thought it was a nice touch that the staff offered to paint their faces with camo paint. One thing I didn’t like was that they had the kids pick teams the old school way of two team captains taking turns picking. For older kids this would be fine but these were 5,6, and 7 year olds so inevitably feelings got hurt right away. Everyone wanted to be on the birthday boys team and when weren’t picked it didn’t set a good tone starting out. Or at least mix the teams up during the games so everyone has a chance to play with, and against, everyone else. The kids seemed to take a while figuring out their guns. The adults were coaching them from the sidelines and wishing we could get in there and play! Maybe this would’ve been easier for older kids. Still, the kids ran around and enjoyed themselves. The area isn’t so large that you lose track of anyone, and they have little hides set out to duck behind. The staff led the kids through various games– everyone for themselves, teams, steal the flag, etc. Again, because the teams weren’t mixed up the same team kept loosing, and kids started pouting and crying. Remember, 5 year olds… After the game we were ushered under a army type tent for pizza and cake. We weren’t even done eating cake before the next party showed up. Keep weather in mind when you book– even though the area is under a treed canopy in the summer it would be pretty hot. There were no restrooms or running water in the immediate area.

If you are like me and have two kids(boys specifically), this place is for you. There are so few laser tag places in the area, and I have to say that this is the best. They are located at the beginning of the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford. The cost is $ 12 for 30 minutes or $ 20 for an hour. You get to choose your weapon, from small to a ginourmous M-16, and play on a pretty cool field outdoors. There are lots of barriers to hide behind while attacking your enemy. They also offer zip line, although we did not have time to do this. I am glad to be the first to review this and ensure that when«laser tag» is searched for on Unilocal, this place will come up! So to sum it up, lots of outdoor fun at a really good price.
