When I was the hospital I asked the nurses for recommendations and Dr. Winkelman was consistently recommended. I think he is great with both of my kids and St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group as been fantastic. I have no complaints with the doctors I’ve encountered nor the medical group. I would highly recommend both.

Throughout my pregnancy I asked the doctors and nurses, that I came in contact with, for a recommended pediatrician. Dr. Winkleman came highly recommended. I’m so pleased that I chose him! He is so down to earth and friendly.

Dr. Winkelman is an excellent doctor! When I moved out of California for a while, I wanted my child to continue to go to him so badly and knew I wouldn’t find another doctor like him. And I didn’t. Now that we are back living in Orange County, all is right again. I never feel rushed when we are there. He takes the time to listen to everything and all of my concerns and is very informative. He definitely knows what he is doing. He is great with kids and knows how to get their attention and communicate well with each of them. His staff is also amazing. Always very friendly and inviting. I trust Dr. Winkelman with my child’s life and wouldn’t want to take my daughter to anyone else.

Amazing DR! Finally a dr that takes the time to talk to parents and address any concerns, even if they seem silly or ridiculous. My children love him and actually look forward to seeing him.

When I became a mom I had NO idea how to pick a doctor… I am totally embarassed to say I picked him soley on his name.
He won’t talk down to you, and really has the ability to get your childs attention.
Let me tell you he is an AMAZING doctor. My child is now 4 and will be going him until they tell us she can’t.
If it was up to me… I would see him (he’s only a pediatrician). I have learned so much by going to him.
I have had quite a few friend that now see him… he’s bombtastic!

Great Doctor. Very friendly, caring and attentive. My son is very difficult and Dr. Winkelman manages to keep my son’s whining to a minimum. The staff is friendly and helpful. My son’s language and expression skills were not at the appropriate age level and Dr. Winkelman helped my son get evaluated and into a speech program. Now we can’t get the child to stop talking. Dr. John Winkelman gets my entire gratitude and 5+ stars.
