My preggers friend was craving Lucille’s biscuits and apple butter so we decided to try this new location. We were seated right away by the bar, in a booth. The place is actually pretty cool. Very spacious, clean and new. Our server came by and took our drink order then disappeared for awhile. A table that sat down after us got their orders taken before we did and we were still waiting for our server to come by. He finally came by to take our order. I got the Back Porch. It comes with chicken, ribs and tri tip. My friend ordered the chicken and two meat combo with pulled pork and rib tips. We all thought the food was great! Overall, I think the food is good. The service could have been better if I wasn’t next to the bar.(We didn’t even request to be seated there).

Food was fairly good, not like the other locations. Service was satisfactory. However, they have those disgusting Dyson hand dryers and bacteria is clearly visible on yes, both sides! BEWARE, don’t use them. They do however, provide you with the paper towel option. Just saying! Haven’t THEY seen the news!

Brisket Nachos are to die for! No joke the best nachos we have EVER had. Fried pickles have always been my favorite but these nachos knocked them right into second place. Service was great as always. Love coming here, great ambience and awesome food.

The place is clean and the service was good too. We order nachos but it was not with ground meat same as other restaurants. The meat was fatty and I did not like it. Next time I ‘ll try their sandwich since I ‘m not the fan of rip too.

Excellent baby back ribs and Phoenix was a friendly proficient and excellent server. Sadly– This Lucille’s missed the memo that we are living in a technologically advanced age. NOINTERNETFORCUSTOMERS is archaic! This is a deal breaker for a perfect Unilocal review and for a return visit. Won’t be back.

It’s mall food, chain restaurant mall food. Service is spotty, hectic, no chance on refills or flagging down your waiter. Wait for a table can be long, best is to go when they open. Prices are high for such mediocre quality, portions on the small side. I went with the pulled pork salad, my husband a plate with different kinds of meat and my son a kids meal. None of them were great, the fries a bit cold and soggy, the meat very generic. Not worth the time, money or calories, we won’t bother to return.

So they decided to open up a new Lucille’s…inside the mall? Ok, I like it. Mainplace was starting to become stagnant before the arrival of all these new food joints and that Round 1 arcade too. So I finally got to try it after much debate about whether we should really eat at a mall or not. The place is really spacious actually and that had me quite impressed. They have both inside and outside seating available. The service was very friendly and efficient. Actually it was quite outstanding. I usually either get the bbq chicken when I go or the rack of ribs. This time I opted for the bbq chicken and my friend had the rack of ribs. I love their bbq chicken a lot actually. It tastes amazing. The chicken was very moist and juicy. The chicken was very well prepared. The rack of ribs was delicious too. I had a piece and despite it being overly drenched in bbq sauce, it was very tasty. The sides were on point too. Its a great dinner indeed. My buddy never had Lucille’s before so this was a nice surprise for him. The portions are always so big at Lucille’s. Somehow I forgot that and retrospect we probably should have split the ribs but damnit I wanted me some chicken. Besides I never learned how to share. Overall its a nice addition to the mall. Like I said this mall in starting to get crackin again. The food available is wonderful. I have so many options whenever I am done shopping now. There’s a closer one to me but this one is really nice too.

Great job Lucilles, food was way to much to finish. Taste was awesome. You went above and beyond the service and portion size in the chicken and 2 meats plate for the price. Did not expect that. Impressive, that shows your customers that its not always about making $$$ but getting repeat customers. We, as a family, will be back soon. Great staff as well.

There goes my calorie counting for this weekend. I like this location. We came around 4:30pm on a Saturday when it was empty. The place got full fast! The service was nice. They let us sample some beers before we ordered a glass. Might as well get the 22 oz bc its only a couple dollars more than the 14 oz. I got the Saint Archer white. Hubby got two 22 oz red house ale and something else. Both were good. Good beer selection. We like how this place has a full bar. The husband likes the ambiance. We got the lucille’s favorite sharing plate with ½ chicken, tri tip, and beef ribs. All meals come with fresh biscuits and apple butter? We also got a half order of onion rings/strings. Couldn’t finish the meal. It’s 10pm and I’m still full. Bill was ~$ 60. We’ll be back!

I’m so full and fat. But incredibly happy since I’ve created a food baby in my yummy tummy. I came here for a birthday; party of 15 people and for a Monday, not that crowded. I like the layout of this place since the bar is the center of everything. Booths are circled around the restaurant and a lot of tables in between. Even the music goes well with this restaurant. It’s located on the top floor so it overlooks the mall parking lot but a lot of windows so it look spacious. The server knew how to multitask for a large crowd. Spitting checks, refilling our drinks, getting to go boxes, etc. But yes the food is always tasty. The complimentary sugar bread is dangerous. I can only eat 2; if I go to 3 I would literally be in a sugar coma. BEWARE: if you get the strawberry lemonade only get one refill. Beyond that, I had a sugar hungover the following day. For entrée, the fried chicken with loaded mashpotatoes and cornbread was soooo delicious!!! Leftovers the next day! Yee! So now I’m full, happy, and ready to nap!

I give 4 stars only because of how nice it is… You have views and the open concept is great almost feels like you’re eating on a porch. I’ve been to other Lucilles and the food has been great, However, the food today was eeehh. We ordered Canjun Shrimp and Steak, and the shrimp, steak, and rice were super salty. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked well done. Note the waiter justified it by saying that it’s because it’s Cajun and the grill burns the Cajun! We did get a discount tho, so hopefully the next time we come back it’ll be better!

Lucille’s may not be the absolute best bbq around, but of the big chains, it has to be pretty darn close tot he top, especially if you are looking for beef ribs. The Main Place location is on the 2nd floor where the old Macy’s men’s & home furnishings store was, next to KPC and for other restaurants. I was there for lunch with a group, and I did not leave hungry. I had a combo with one large beef rib, ¼ chicken and a couple of slices of tri-tip. More than enough food to induce a meat coma back at the office. Everything was tasty and the food definitely had a smokey flavor. I’ll be back.

I’ve visited a few Lucille’s locations, and this new spot is by far their best. Their staff is thoughtful and personable, and their ambience(especially in the bar during Mardi Gras) is so fun. The decorations and energy are vibrant and inviting. This particular location not only freshens up Main Place Mall, but also adds more thrill to the southern vibe Lucille’s has to offer. During my first visit, I made plans to return with my family for my Dad’s birthday in April, and the bartender provided suggestions for our next visit. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This area at the Main Place Mall used to be a Macy’s Men’s and Furniture department store, and it was gutted out to make room for a 24-hour fitness center, a bowling place, a Mediterranean restaurant, Ashley’s Furniture, and this bar-b-que restaurant. It is located near the Nordstrom side of the mall, along with other eateries like Applebee’s CPS, and Olive Garden. Upon walking in, you’re greeted immediately by the hostess station, and the waiting area is tiny. Unlike the Brea, Orange or Tustin location, where you can wait at the bar for your table, the bar is located toward the back of the restaurant, with just counter space available. However, the back of the restaurant is where you want to be, as it is near a floor to ceiling window area with the view of the parking area and Main Street. I wouldn’t say its the largest Lucille’s I’ve been to, but it is spacious and open. We came here as a group of 9 on a Sunday for a birthday, and had 7:30 pm reservations. Even though the mall closes early on Sunday, the parking lot was still pretty full. We didn’t have to wait very long, as we were shown a table near the bar. We decided to order the Family Feast, which was served family style. The menu included a family dinner salad, 2 whole chicken, 3 pounds of ribs(baby back, St. Louis or beef), plus 2 selection of meat: either tri tip, pulled pork, burnt tips, or sausage and 6 sides. We chose all baby back ribs, the pulled pork and sausage, and for our sides: mac n cheese, bbq beans, creamy cole slaw, corn on the cob, garlic mashed potatoes, and watermelon. Of the sides, the potatoes was the least popular. With drinks and we had 2 starters: the sweet potato fries and bbq potato chips, our bill came to $ 350 with tax and tip. Most of us had the gift cards from Costco, which saved us 20%. We had TONS of leftovers, so the family feast could easily serve 12 – 14 people. For the most part, the service was pretty good. Our server came frequently, and when we asked for something, he brought us what we needed.

We shared a Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs and chose the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Sweet Potato Fries for our two sides. The ribs were disappointingly dry. They must have been unintentionally smoked for too long as we came at a later dinner hour. The ends of the rack were literally beef jerky in texture. The middle of the rack was more moist. I think part of the problem is that a lot of rib meat was shaved off this particular rack so the bone to meat ratio is higher and the meat, not the bones, retain moisture so it was prone to drying out. The famous BBQ sauce, of course, was superb. Thick sweet and tangy with the classic melding of BBQ spices. It is the perfect BBQ sauce. I’d definitely be willing to come back and try the ribs again. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were made by red potatoes, which is more costly than the typical Russets. I like how they included the potato skin as it contains some nutrients. There was the right about of seasoning – not too salty, and the potatoes where creamed to a smooth consistency. The Sweet Potato Fries here were some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. They are cut shoelace style and deep-fried so that a crisp, flakey layer develops on the outside. I ordered Watermelon Iced Tea. It’s literally a slice of watermelon in iced black tea. No sugar added. My boyfriend ordered the Strawberry Lemonade. It’s what one would call deathly sweet. Tasty! But probably better to drink it in 10-fold diluted form. These drinks come in large Mason jars that hold around 24−32oz or so. Very fun as opposed to the common glassware. Our dining experience was greatly enhanced by the fabulous service we received from Angelica. She was so welcoming and enthusiastic. She goes above and beyond even what I’d expect with good service. She could give me recommendations for appetizers or drinks and even bothered to warn us about the hot BBQ sauce being very spicy to her. I certainly appreciated that tidbit! We were slow to order but she was patient and gave us time to look over the menu longer without waiting too long to come back and check on us. She also made sure we got separate plates since I mentioned we wanted to share an entrée. She noticed my boyfriend had finished his lemonade and asked if he wanted a second one without him asking. She checked on us without being obtrusive. I only knew she was keeping an eye on us because of her promptness. For example, as soon as we finished eating, she offered hot towels. I would give Angelica 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Thank you so much! It was a long slow night at the restaurant but you gave it your 110%. :)

I’ve been to many other Lucille’s restaurants before but I will have to say that this is the best location that I have been to before. This location which is awesomely set on the second floor adjoining the mall is granted a great view. The location has these large windows which allow up to take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. These large windows also draw up and allow for an indoor/outdoor experience which bring in a fresh cool breeze. The staff was amazing and they seem familiar with the menu. Pro: –Great service –Awesome views Con: –Average food Overview: I think I will come back here again. I, personally think that the food is «super» amazing or «special», but I think will come back here for the environment, great staff and cleanliness.

Brand new Lucilles at Main Place! As expected, the restaurant looks like a polished gem since its been open for about a week. An abundance of servers and managers greet you with the scripted spiel they have been practicing during training. Our host awkwardly walks us to our table, one server comes and offers drinks, another comes and asks if we need drinks, and a third comes to tell us she will be serving us. Overall, we were asked about 15 times if everything was great, and if we needed anything to just let them know. This is not to hate on the establishment! Our food was good, it was on par with what I would expect since I’ve been to Lucilles several times before at other locations. Service was a bit overreaching, which was okay because we knew full well that they just opened and we expected a few hiccups and awkward moments while dining. Their bar looks like a really good spot to catch some games on tv or just grab some drinks with some friends. What set it apart was the custom design. Brand new vinyl and plastic seats with designer style colors and prints. Immaculate looking furniture that is just waiting to be worn in. Overall, a good spot! Applebee’s and Calfornia Pizza Kitchen have some competition now!
