Epic SUP Adventures

I went on an intermediate SUP tour from Rincon to El Capitan. Maegan and Austin were friendly, knowledgable and professional. I even learned a more efficient paddling position. The lunch they provided was delicious and we got to enjoy it while floating on our boards out at sea. They even made sure to provide excellent weather and conditions :) Lots of sunshine and dolphins to top it all off. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend your company to my friends, family, and guests staying at our inn.

As a rookie stand up paddle boarder Epic was an awesome introduction to the sport. I’ve tried surfing in the past and had a tough time. These boards are definately more stable. I got up first try for a solid… couple seconds! Haha. After watching my attempt Austin had great tips on how to stabilize myself once I was standing. From then on it truly was a great cruz. Believe me I took a few «swim breaks» but even that felt great! Meagan and Austin have come up with a genius plan of paddling down the coast with the current the entire trip so that more time is spent enjoying the views of the Channel Islands and coastline not fighting the current to get back home. At the end of the trip you hop into their Vanagon and drive back up to the starting point. There are ways they show you to take breaks on the ocean so you don’t get completely exausted and they pack everything needed for a great snack in the middle to break things up a bit! I had an amazing time, so if you need something to do in beautiful Santa Barbara give Epic a call you’ll LOVE it!

I had such a wonderful experience with Epic. Austin and Maegan were so helpful and I really liked the lesson the day before. I think the lesson was very beneficial and I was able to get a lot more out on the water. Spending the day out on the water on a stand up paddle board was incredible and it was a very unique vantage point for viewing the coast and mountains. I couldn’t rate my experience any higher! Thanks Epic!

Took our son, his wife and two children (ages 10 & 6) to meet Maegan and Austin of Epic SUP. They wanted to learn to stand up paddle board. What a pleasant surprise! Epic SUP provided everything including life jackets and boards for the children. Austin could not have been more patient with us. He spent about 15 minutes showing the mechanics of paddle boarding before launching them into the water. He spent the next 1−½ hours riding next to my son and granddaughter giving pointers and suggestions for them to feel more comfortable. Before we knew it, the new paddle boarders were comfortably maneuvering through the waters. Austin even took our 6 year old grandson and put him on the front of his board so that he could experience paddle boarding too. Our grandson said Austin was «cool» and it was the most fun he had during his visit to Santa Barbara.
We highly recommend this company for beginners who need lessons as well as the seasoned athlete.

Had a great time learning how to SUP with Epic Sup Adventures in Carpinteria! The boards were very easy and buoyant to stand on, and Austin was a very helpful instructor. He corrected my foot position and how I switched hands with the paddle; both made me more efficient and comfortable on the board. I am looking forward to SUP again soon!
