All I wanna say is wow wow wow. I got the Alabama chicken sammie and it was quite delicious. It’s literally chicken, their white sauce, and pickles in a roll. It’s very simple. I took the first bite and the chicken was juicy. As I was eating it, I was a bit worried about the sandwich becoming so one note. I remembered they have so many sauces, and this was the perfect simple canvas for their various sauces. Their aioli and their spicy bbq sauce were equally delicious. The one thing I might be desiring is a bit more crunch/texture, but I realize the pickles were not as well dispersed as they could have been, which led to the absence of crunch in some of my bites. My husband had the po boy and he enjoyed his sandwich very much as well.

Went out of my way to get there before the posted close time, just to find it packed up at least 40 min early. Wish I could have tasted it.

We threw a house warming party — and I didn’t want to have to fuss over the menu, or buying and preparing the food. I wanted to be a GUEST at my own party — and with the wonderful cooking, fabulous menu and convenience of having the food truck park right in front of our house — we all had a GREAT time! All of the guests commented what a smart idea and how much they loved the food. I can’t wait to plan our next event!

Georgia’s Smokehouse is a taste of good olé Southern BBQ right here in the Central Coast. This is the best BBQ in town. Mostly I order the rib combo and most of the time, the ribs are fall off the bone tender and the fries are hot! You can’t go wrong with the spicy or the sweet sauce for the ribs. They also have a great selection of additional sauces to put on your fries, pulled pork, or on chicken. I’ve also had the shrimp and sausage po boy! Oh boy was that good too! If the po boy and the ribs are on the menu, I literally go through a process of «If I die tomorrow, which choice should I make?» And the answer usually comes out of my head like, «Get them both and die happy!» But since I only have one stomach, I have to choose and it’s always a nail bitting decision. I wish I could have their food more times than just on Wednesdays when I usually frequent but luckily their sauce is sold in stores around town. I’d like it if their other sauces were sold around town too. The prices are on average for the area but the deliciousness of the food and the quality is above the rest!

About a month ago myself and 3 friends had the same meal and like clockwork we all woke up at 2am sick as can be. I waited a week and decided to call letting them know what had happened. I left my number I told them I was so physically ill I couldn’t goto work the next day. And… I got nothing. No call back, no apology, no thanks for the heads up. We will never eat there again. Yuck!

Figuring out a good catering option for a company event with 150+ guests is no easy task, especially in a city with a multitude of choices. I’m really glad to have chosen Georgia’s. From my initial inquiry to the day of the event, Brian was amazing. He was very patient and accommodating with my company’s various«curveballs,» from our request to postpone the day before the original event date, to getting his truck up a narrow, steep road to the venue. I couldn’t have asked for a better guy to work with. The food was awesome as always, and my guests were all very satisfied. I was personally impressed with how Brian’s staff was able to crank out such a large volume of plates in a 2 – 2.5 hour window. Try their Brisket Melt and Cucumber Watermelon Salad — yum! To this day, my fellow employees are still raving about their meals from Georgia’s. We will definitely be calling them back to cater our next event. Thanks again!

I’m sorry but the food is terrible. My friend had the fritters w/bacon?(not at all close to hush puppies). They were oily + consisted of no corneal. My other friend got the pulled pork sandwich and we all agreed that was a huge gross!!. Anyone can make this junk at homed and do better. This food is nothing shy of an insult to southern cuisine. #visitthesouth #smh #buelltonbrewfest

I tried Georgia’s Smokehouse food truck today at the Carpenteria Farm Tours, and was terribly disappointed. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and it seemed that the pork had been soaking in grease and not drained. the bun was so soaked with oil from the meat that it broke apart, and was impossible to pick up. The paper basket that the sandwich was sitting in was swimming in oil. It was disgusting. The onion ring/fried onions on top were delicious, and the cole slaw was fresh tasting, though not incredibly seasoned. but the greasy meat really overshadowed everything else. I also had the hush puppies. they were pretty good. Not as flavorful as I had hoped, given the description, but they were tasty enough, and I really loved both the spicy BBQ sauce and the Green Goddess dressing. Dipping the hush puppies in the sauces bumped up the flavors. All in all, the greasy sandwich was unacceptable. It wasn’t just that it was pulled pork, and a little grease is to be expected… it was poorly prepared, and should never have been served. I’m not sure if this is how Georgia’s Smokehouse’s food typically is, but I hope this is not an indication of their usual quality.

I was excited when I found out that ucsb welcomed food trucks to campus so I made a point of stopping by during our farmers market. The menu was very limited, I was hoping for brisket or baby back ribs or sweet potato fries, but none of these were on the menu. So I ordered the Southern Cuban($ 10) and a side of sauteed kale($ 5). I thought the prices were steep, but was hoping the food would make it all worth it, besides I wanted to support local, family owned eateries. But when they handed me the sandwich, it was hardly the size of my palm, more like if you flattened a hot dog bun. There was minimal amount of meat and the smoked pork wasn’t very tender. To follow suit, half of the kale side was actually sauteed tomatoes and the whole thing barely amounted to a cup’s worth. They offered a variety of self serve sauces, so as consolation for being ripped off, I tried the white and green sauces, but neither stood out. Instead, they were subdued and indistinguishable. This was not what I expected after $ 15! Not sure why other reviewers reported the prices to be around $ 5 a sandwich?! For students on a budget, this is not the right vendor to host. Really not worth it.

I felt the Brisket Melt lacked brisket. I felt ripped off frankly. I had a pulled pork previously and that was better, but it wasn’t knock me out good. For the price, the experience wasn’t good enough. And boy is it crazy greasy.

I have eaten here twice, the first time it was ok, maybe 3 stars. This time I ordered a burger, it came with roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions and I added cheese and asked for it without a bun. I walked back to my work and took a bite… it was completely raw, the outside was gray like it had touched a grill but that was it. I cut to the middle to be sure and I was correct, it was pink and greasy. I brought it back to the truck, the cook met me at the window when I told her it was raw she replied«ok» took the burger from me and started saying to herself out loud what was on it. After she fired me another one and handed it back I noticed there were no onions on it. I asked her for onions and she told me they were out of onions, I know they can’t help that but it was dissatisfying and I didn’t appreciate that she seemed to think I wouldn’t notice. All this made me have to take a long lunch.

I had the brisket melt for $ 10. It was small, fitting in a side order-sized container, and only tasted ok. Way too expensive for what I got. The lack of decent BBQ in the area makes me want to try this truck again, but I’ve got little confidence when their most expensive dish was so meh… And the service sucked, too. Maybe it was a bad day for them; other reviews rave about the service. My experience was not good.

This is some seriously good BBQ! I am a huge fan of their pulled pork sandwich. The prices are super reasonable and its a rare treat to visit a food truck in Santa Barbara! I have also contacted them about catering and while I was unfortunately not able to have them cater(ended up going with a venue that does their own catering) the staff was helpful and courteous and their catering prices are unbeatable.

Have tried twice. First time I got the chicken sandwich. Chicken was dry and had bones and cartilage in it. Second time got the pulled pork Sammie. Very little fried onions, pork was dry as well — some portions hard as bone. To top it off, the buns are completely inadequate to use for holding. Basically you just take what they give you and drench it in sauce. I gave a second star for the tasty hush puppies and bacon grilled cheese which pleased my toddler greatly. Bottom Line: this place is a robbery. No reason to pay $ 10 for a dry pile of meat on a hot dog bun.

This is what I would call Carolina style BBQ, but correct me if I’m wrong. Georgia’s food truck comes to the Wednesday farmer’s market on the UCSB campus. When I went for lunch a little after noon about 25 other people had the same idea: BBQ! The wait wasn’t outrageous. Their menu consists of BBQ staples: hush puppies, pulled pork, ribs(baby back, of course), brisket, and a nice array of grilled cheese sandwiches including one with mushrooms and brie – fancy pants! I got the small pulled pork sandwich($ 5), which is a normal size sandwich, plus sweet potato fries($ 3). The pulled pork comes on a nice bun with slaw on top. Yum. The sweet potato fries are awesome and they come with a tabasco aioli, which has a serious kick and balances the sweetness nicely. Tips: They do charge tax folks, so be ready. My pulled pork came with either no sauce or very little(okay I admit it, I love extra sauce) so make sure to partake in their sauces before you walk away.

I have eaten Georgia’s Smokehouse several times at various places around town and have had nothing but good results each and every time. I particularly love the hush puppies and the ribs. My husband I recently had the pleasure of having Georgia’s Smokehouse cater our wedding. They were absolutely AMAZING. The guests loved their food and they did everything they could to make our day that much more special. They were easy to contact prior to the wedding to get all the details squared away and arrived on time with no issues. As a plus, the food is priced incredibly reasonable. The guests particularly loved the brisket sammies and bacon cheddar hush puppies. I would recommend them to anyone, they do a fantastic job. I wish them great success, which I know they will have since they do such a fantastic job.

This truck is amazing. I had the pleasure of trying this truck out when I stopped in at Telegraph Brewing Co. this past weekend on vacation. I tried two things: The bacon cheddar hush puppies, and the burger with a fried egg. The hush puppies are definitely the best I’ve had(besides that one time I was in the South). I demolished the little tray($ 3) and wanted more. Perfectly fried and tons of flavor. I also ordered the burger with a fried egg. It was really really good. But I’m positive it would have been even more amazing with the bacon and cheese added. The egg was a little too cooked for my taste(I prefer to have a runny yolk on my burger), but the meat was perfect. It was juicy and flavorful, and the caramelized onions packed a whole lot of flavor. If you happen to see this truck around, at the very least go get yourself some hush puppies.

My date and I were walking through downtown Santa Barbara looking for a place to eat. She suggested we try the newly opened Fig Mountain Brewing Company but we weren’t sure if they served food or not. When we got to Fig Mountain, we were told that they don’t serve food(just amazing beer), but that there was a food truck out back. So we walked out there and read through the menu: brisket, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac and cheese… it all sounded good. We ended up settling on the brisket with sauerkraut sammy, pulled pork sammy and a side of fries with their tabasco aioli. Wow Both were delicious and perfect with an IPA. They use a vinegar based barbecue sauce which gives the meat a nice tangyness and pile it on a fresh buttery roll. In fact, I’d love to know where they get their rolls from! The prices were reasonable and the girls provided great service. 4-stars: «Yay! I’m a fan.»

Delicious BBQ ! In Santa Barbara, a good food truck is not only hard to come by, they are practically non-existent! Oh sure, there are a handful, but rarely does one make a pit stop in Carpinteria… until now. I think that first off, this truck is great because they pulled up and parked(until closing) at a very hungry brewery. I got the hush puppies with their goddess sauce and DAMN it was amazing!!! I also got their pulled chicken grilled cheese and wish I would have ordered one for lunch the next day. Holy hell it was delicious! Juicy, savory and had me wanting more. Lastly, their sweet potato fries. They are ESSENTIAL to your order, doesn’t matter if you do not think you have room. Make room! They are delicious, perfect texture and taste, and their sauce is ORGASMIC! yum!!! Come to carp more ladies!!! p. s. they take credit cards!!! YAY!
