The best bakery for pan dulce, the best deli for tortas & tamales, and the best deal on birthday cakes. Love this bakery.

Came to visit the new location next to Albertsons since my aunt likes this place. Husband bought a mixed bag of sweet breads and took them outside, took a look at it and were very stiff and dull looking went back in to get a refund but the new girl cashier who helped us out said that she was not sure if they do refunds. We said that the bread did not look fresh since it was semi stiff since she asked for a reason. We wanted to take our business elsewhere. We were being discrete since there were more customers and didn’t want to draw bad attention for the business but it went sour from there. The girl asked a guy in the back probably a baker if we can get a refund or not and told him our reason. He then looked at us and asked us what was the reason for the return out loud and that’s when other customers looked over. We explained why and he asked for our receipt, we explained that we had just bought it like 3 – 4 minutes ago and that the cashier did not give us a receipt just our change. The girl cashier began to argue that i said that I did not want a receipt which was false since she did not talk to me when she game the change back. She then said sorry no receipt we can’t do a refund. My husband then asked for the manager and she said that she wasn’t here, we asked if she could call her since it was an inconvenience to come back since we were visiting, she said that she can call but that the manager was not going to pick up and asked for my husband’s name and phone number so she can call him back. We wanted her too call but refused too and just gave us her managers number but was just the stores number. We said thanks and left the bread behind since we did not want it. The rude cashier rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders as we turned around all the male coworkers began to shout in the store yelling «come get the freshest bread you’ll ever find» «hot and ready from the oven» then every other coworker began to laugh, this was super rude and embarrassing. We will definitely spread the word about our negative experience, this was our first and last time visit for this location. Store owner and managers should definitely review their coworkers attitude and teach them to respect customers. Another tip: don’t assume people talk Spanish and if we answer in English please keep talking to us back in English. Negative customer service from everyone during the 6:30pm shift, hope we receive a call from the manager soon.

I went to the new location of La Bella Rosa next to Albertson’s in Goleta this morning. I didn’t look up what time they opened but I think I got there at 6:50 and they were already open. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was only $ 4.95 (unheard of in Santa Barbara!) and it was really delicious. It wasn’t big but it was filling and I didn’t want to eat a big burrito and feel stuffed anyways so it was perfect. I did ask if they could make an egg, potato and cheese burrito but they said they already have them all made already so I got the bacon sausage burrito and it didn’t disappoint. I also ordered a large hazelnut coffee so my total for everything was under $ 7. Their baked goods looked delicious so I will have to try a couple another time.
The environment inside is very clean and nice. Plenty of small tables. I sat inside and read for about an hour. The owner came up to me and asked if I thought the radio was on too loud since I had been sitting there for a while. I thought that was very considerate of her to ask because they are still new to that location so they are trying to figure out what is going to work best for the new space. I told her I thought it was at a good level. The staff members were very nice as well.
Definitely will be returning for a great breakfast burrito and coffee! Go check them out :)

Baked goods are delicious especially jam with custard croissant .
flan was a bit heavy, chicken tamales tasted so good but kinda dry. Not the best chili relleno but was ok.

What a little jewel in the neighborhood! I came in hungry for lunch, and asked for a veggie quesadilla. They didn’t have all the veggies needed, but we agreed to work with what they had and add some chicken. I was watching them make the salsa verde, and it looked delicious. Add a diet coke and the piece de resistance, chocolate cake from the bakery. Price: less than $ 10 for a huge, delicious lunch and desert!

My kids and I have been looking for a good Mexican bakery and we finally found the best Mexican bread in SB!
Service is great and the bread was still warm! What?! And they accept card as long as your purchase is more than $ 3 We live in Goleta but defiantly coming all the way over here just for the bread
My kids also loved the hot chocolate!
And best of all they don’t use any peanut in their kitchen so I don’t have to worry about my 6 year old choosing whatever she wants (she’s got a severe peanut allergy)
If you haven’t you have to try this place!!!

I only go in for the tres leches cake, it’s delicious. The service on the other hand is HORRIBLE. I called to ask what time they close the pasteleria and the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude. Customer service is a priority.

Food and bread are OK but they got the worst Costumer service period. if they at least teach their staff how to treat ppl nicely would be 3 starts. Lol

We were looking for a decent bakery nearby. Came across La Bella Bakery. Inside Shea was a huge help explaining the different varieties of baked good. Overall a good experience. We would return to enjoy the Bulverian crème empanadas.

The bread is good, but the service is horrible. I’ve had several experiences of bad service, especially from the male cashier, who seems to be bothered by attending to customers.
On one occasion I was trying to juggle a tray full of bread and my baby, and I sat the baby down on the counter to adjust and not have an accident, I was very rudely told to get my kid off the counter.

I like the food, hate the service! Every time I go they get my order wrong they are not very friendly unless u speak Spanish. I have repeated my order and they always say yes they got it but it’s wrong every time ., the are very lacks never any urgency you can come in and 5 people after you order will get there food before you there is no rhyme or reason with them. Service is soooo slow like molasses ugh. And there are no clear lines and all the regulars get preference before you so if there is a buddy of the cashier behind you they will get served before you and if the was a recent shindig you will have to wait patiently while the cashier looks at the pictures the customer brought it yes every single one !!! Ahhhh! What in the world? I keep waiting for a hidden camera crew to come out? Absurd … I like there food but there service sucks! I won’t be back I had it! I also realized something that won’t let my mind eat there again they handle money then your food with out washing. It’s a fact feces traces are on money ewwwww! Was it necessary to touch my Mexican bread to count them and adjust them with your hands ??? I threw them away !! And there is a very rude male cashier who is standoffish and just RUDE! Btw I’ve been in this place about 8 – 10 times … You ask why do I go back? Just hoping I’ve happend to stop in on all off days … I want to love you guys but I cant. Adiós!

Their mexican bread (pan dulce) is amazing, it’s definitely a hidden gem in SB and would be full of fours and fives if the mexican community knew about Unilocal.From the sugar twist to conchas the taste is addictive. It’s a bakery so I won’t judge the tortas or tamales or whatever else got judged below me, just telling you the bread itself is a 5! Tourist use your navi and go there, you won’t regret it!

We hired Rosa to make our wedding cake. The final product was amazingly beautify, delicious, and ¼ of the price of any of the wedding bakeries in town.

i go here quite often to get their Torta’s the large is $ 5 and small is $ 4 i usually get the small and it is plenty filling if you ask me. they also have great pastries. another one of my favorite place and just a short walk from work which is also a plus

Let’s talk Torta. First off, I came here this morning for a breakfast pastry and it was pretty busy. I was amazed at how much fresh pastries they had and the overall selection of pastries. Also the prices were amazing and I was able to pick up a few pastries for my office. I also got a torta, and I chose the $ 4.00. This is plenty for one person on lunch and I recommend the tri tip because it is delicious! The torta was tasty and I like mine hot, and it was crispy and yummy. They give you lots of meat, lettuce and tomatoes and cheese, very traditional and very feeling. These were not greasy and they definitely have the homemade bread from the bakery. I will be making this my pastry stop in the morning for delicious coffee and treats!

I love ‘em. Solid three-​star establishment. Nothing fancy, just good prices, helpful staff, and good eats. We live close by on Castillo like to walk over for conchas, cookies, and tamales. They’re tamales are so tasty, and quite cheap at $ 2.50 each, and they come in twos. I love the pork, boyfriend loves the chicken. It’s also fun to come in, grab a tray and tongs to pick out cookies and pastries. They are also kind enough to show you how it’s done if you stand around awkwardly not knowing what to do… you know, not that an old pro like me would know. **looks around with shifty eyes**
