My stylists was Eefje. She was amazing! I have lived here for five years. And for five years have been unable to find a decent stylists that didn’t charge an arm and a leg! Lol! I was told to go Mishay and ask for Brooke. But Brooke was booked! () So I said I’ll take whoever is available. I was given Eefje! I was about 80% grey. She colored my hair a gorgeous brown with a hint of red! I am proud to say that I have my permanent stylists! The entire staff is wonderful!

I have gone to several stylists at Salon Mishay and all of them have done a fantastic job. I have settled into a routing with Jenna and always feel so pretty and pampered after a hair cut with her. The salon is always clean, the staff is always friendly and they are the best salon in town!

Got my hair washed, cut, and styled here by Eefje, and it was awesome! Very relaxing atmosphere and Eefje took her time to make sure my haircut and experience was perfect, I will definitely be going back!!!

On my journey I was met by high end over priced stylists that just wanted to cut off my hair. Saying «at you age…» That will stop a conversation about my hair in its tracks. My age!!! Really !! So now we have «ageism» in hair !!! Holy sh**!!

I was told to «go take a walk „by one of the Nurses and then I noticed her hair „oh my“ I thought „deep chunky heavy layers that move. Dare I ask?“ I did. And she gleefully replied „Mishay“. It was within walking distance of Cottage hospital. I walked down got a fabulous stylist who wax just „there“

The salon is small and cozy. The staff is always friendly, offering a beverage as soon as you walk in. All the ladies do a wonderful job styling and coloring hair. Worth the money to get your hair done here! :)

Mishay is getting a 5 star rating from me because of the amazing girls that do beautiful hair there. I mostly go for color and cut to Kelly and when she is out having another baby I see Andrea and I have always had 100% hair happiness. My husband goes to Ti and my kiddos have seen Jenna. I have also think Brooke is great too. The team of stylists there are sweet, wonderful and talented girls and I would recommend them to anyone. I recently went to Mia for brows and she was excellent too.
The salon itself is nothing fancy but the people make the party.

I have gotten my hair colored and cut by Brooke for the last four years, and have always at a wonderful experience at Mishay. As a Santa Barbara local this is definitely the place to go!

Realized I’d better avoid this place before I even made an appointment.
I tried to get an appointment for my daughter and I to get our nails done. From the on-​line picture, it didn’t look like they have massage chairs, but it did still look pretty nice, so I decided to give them a try. When I called for the appointment, I was told that the salon itself couldn’t make nail appointments, and I would have to contact one of the 2 nail artists to do so. I was curious about how this would work, since I needed an appointment for my daughter and I to get our nails done at the same time. Would I have to call both girls and see when they both had spaces available and just hope it matched up with a time I liked? I told the salon when I wanted to get my nails done and they gave me the phone number of one of the girls — who doesn’t work on that day (guess we can’t get our nails done at the same time if only one girl is working). This girl (Stacy) gave me the number of the other girl, and I called — no answer. If this is the level of service I can expect, I’d rather not give them the business.

This is the best place to go get your hair done! They’re always so nice and accommodating to YOUR needs. Almost everyone here does wonderful dye jobs and I’m never unsatisfied. All the hair stylists are like sisters to me!!! I recommend them to 100% of people who ask me!

VERY BEAUTIFUL BRIDAL HAIR STYLE BY THI! I’ve been getting my hair done by Thi for many years now. She is so good at what she does and also does my mom’s cut and color’s and always makes it look so natural! This past September I did my bridal hair with Thi for my Santa Barbara Wedding. I thought I knew what I wanted looking at photos on Pintrest but Thi suggested I come in for a trail hair day where we could try a few looks. It turned out that I didn’t want my hair in the side bun that I thought looked good in the picture. Thi knew exactly what would look good on me for my wedding day and helped me so much during my trail appointment. I was confident when it came to my wedding day that I knew I was going to love my bridal look that we already went over in the trial. She nailed it effortlessly. It was perfect and just made my whole look. She really listened to what I wanted and the look I was going for. After many years of doing hair with Thi I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter hair dresser to do my hair on my wedding day. Thank you Thi!

Last week went for hair color, cut, I was impressed by the crew and their efficiency.
I did not wait and I am very happy with the color and hair cut.
They deserve a 5 stars.

Angel Puente is my hairdresser at Mishay’s and I love her!!!
She has been cutting and coloring my hair for years now and I am always thrilled with the results. For a brief few months she moved away and I was completely lost without her. Instinctually she gets to know what you want even when your indecisive. We have been adventuresome and it’s always been a fun change that somehow ends up being just right. I find it as one of my most enjoyable treats, getting my hair done with Angel

I have been coming to mishay off and on since 2007. I stopped coming for 3.5 years only because I worked at a «high end» salon in town that has been around for years but even then I just longed to come back to Andrea. Color and cuts anywhere are a bit pricey, but when I have the extra $$ to get my hair done, Andrea is the FIRST person I think of. I first went to her in 2002 and have yet to find anyone I like as much as her. I love Mishay, its always cute and very clean. The staff is very friendly too. Mishay salon has also done weddings for multiple people I know and the bride/​bridal party had the most BEAUTIFUL hair dos! I would and have recommended this place to everyone I know!

Jenna is the best! She has been doing my hair for over a year. She cuts and colors my hair. She is amazing with color — ombré, highlights! Definitely give her a call. I highly recommend her and Mishay. Plus her pricing is so reasonable. I have never been more satisfied with a hair dresser.
Mishay itself is comfortable, friendly and easy going. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Love the patio!

BRIDAL TRIAL NIGHTMARE
I went yesterday morning for my bridal makeup trial with Thi (pronounced Tee). I live in LA and we drove up for this experience! My appointment was at 10 am and I received a call the night before confirming. I arrived on time and was told that she was running late. There was a woman getting her color put in by Thi. So, right off the bat I am thinking to myself that it seems that I am being «squeezed in» and for the $ 80 that they quoted me for the trial, I was not excited. This was only the beginning! When Thi came over she didn’t even smile, said hello and took me to her station. At this point my mom went to wait in the car because their couches are so low they may as well be bean bags and she has a bad knee. No one offered an alternative place for her to sit when we stated this was why.
Once at Thi’s station, she told me to not let my mom go because she’s not doing my make up today because she has NO MAKEUP!!! I asked why no one bothered to call me and tell me this, ESPECIALLY knowing that I was DRIVING UP FROM LA! She had no answer and never even apologized! She said her husband was getting her makeup and she could fit me in in a few hours. I said NO and walked out! If they are this inconsiderate and unprofessional who knows if they would even show up to my wedding! I was completely shocked. If not for not wanting to ruin the experiences of the others at the salon, I would have completely lost my shiz! SO rude!!!

I am from the San Francisco Bay Area and I was in Santa Barbara for my sisters wedding (she lives in town). My family and friends had appointments for our hair to be styled/​up-​do for the wedding.
Pros: Mishay was able to accomodate all of us (7) from approx 10:30am to 1pm (although they forgot one of us on their schedule). The place is clean, the stylists and receptionist are nice. The outdoor patio has a nice waiting area.
Cons: The parking is bad — boarderline impossible to park in their lot. It’s hard to turn around if your car is bigger than a small car. Park down the street, and dont drive a truck. My stylist (I am not mentioning her name) was polite, clearly had talent with hair, but didn’t listen to what I wanted. I have long curly hair. I requested an «up-​do» with loose curls, which is easy to do with my hair. I showed her a picture from their website of an «up-​do» that I liked. She parted my hair down the middle, combed it out, straightend it, curled the ends with a curling iron and tucked it back in a bun. She left a few pieces of hair for bangs (which she was going to flat iron and I said no). It was nothing like I requested. All my curls were straightened out and my hair was flat on my head. It was also $ 65 which is way too expensive. It should have been $ 35.
I didn’t even make it 3 miles back to the place I was staying at before it started coming out. I ended up taking it out 30 minutes later. It was very upsetting, and my sister was very un-​happy that my hair looked so bad. I had to wet it down and try to do something with it an hour before the wedding.
I would be hesitant to try this place again.

My hairstylist is Brooke and i love her work. She does great highlights, color, and is always consistent. They serve beverages such as coffee, soda, and even wine!
They have a tiny parking lot located in the back but they share it with their neighbor so there are only 2 – 3 spaces available if that. You’re better off parking on the street, and even though it’s 75 min. parking I have yet to see the meter maid come by when I’ve gotten my hair done.
They also have a small nail salon located in the back that offers manicures/​pedicures.
If you have hair that gets tangled easy then I highly recommend purchasing the Unite 7 second hair detangler! I swear by this stuff and it smells heavenly. It really does work in 7 seconds to get those tangles out and saves your hair from breaking off.
I will continue coming to this salon as long as Brooke continues to work here! She is the best and sweetest hair stylist.
