First time my kid has EVER been happy with a haircut! He didn’t put his hat on!

In town from Phoenix visiting family. Found Andre. Great space. Great haircut. Super nice guy. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to get a haircut. I was visiting from out of town and needed a place that was close by and allowed walk-​ins. Nice professional haircut, historical old-​time barber atmosphere and great conversation. I’ll be returning to Santa Barbara on a frequent basis and if I need a haircut while I’m here, State Street Barber will be the place to go.

Andre works magic with the clippers you need a good old school professional cut with a good conversation, Andre is your man. Best haircut so far I’ve ever had, you can’t go wrong here.

Andre hooks it up. I always like a good ol’Fashion haircut and he takes care of it. My son and I appreciate the work he does.
Andre also takes appointments. No waiting in line, which make it easy. State St Barber is top notch.

Great haircut! Andre is a professional. After much searching, I’ve found my place. Neck shave and shoulder massage were icing on the cake. Plus, a barbershop has been in this location since the 1960’s!

My hair was getting out of control because I did not know of a local barber shop that did meticulous work. Being a UCSB student, I know of places close to campus that have done less than satisfactory work. My friend and I eventually gave in after surviving all the comments about our messy hair and began searching for local barbers on the internet. Although this place is a little further from campus than others, it is well worth the drive or bus ride. Why settle when you can make a short trip over to Andre? This is not the place to go if you are in a rush, Andre took his time and dialed in every aspect of my haircut. I always respect a person that will go the extra mile and do their best work instead of cutting corners and doing cookie cutter haircuts. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a quality cut. Will be returning here.

If you need a good, professional haircut, then Andre is the man to do it.
Both my hair and my friend’s hair were becoming absolutely ridiculous. We needed a haircut asap so we decided to go here. We both brought in pictures to give Andre an idea on how we wanted our hair done and he said that helped him know what we wanted. It took him about 30 min for each us as he paid attention to detail. We both came out satisfied with his work. A great guy that clearly knows what he is doing. Will be coming back again

THIS is the place. Period. This is a classic, one chair barber shop. Individual attention, gentleman barber, Andre is highly skilled. We were visiting from NYC and chose this shop on a recommendation. Excellent choice.

Andre is awesome! If your a guy, come here. Shaves, good cuts. Great prices. It’s located right next to Uptown Lounge.

I stumbled upon this spot when visiting Santa Barbara, while strolling upper state street. The barber Andre was very welcoming and the personal service I received was great. He really tailored the cut to what I wanted, unlike the generic cuts I have received at other shops. He also did a clean shave with a blade. Talented barber, highly recommend! You will be highly satisfied.
