its like walking into someone’s mother’s home! nothing fancy but great food! although, i have to believe the fact our friend is Korean and speaks Korean helped a lot! pretty much the whole place was Asians. our friend ordered food for 4 and we ate like kings and queens! and of course, souju! only slight downside(but definitely not a show stopper!), we were skating on the floor with our chairs! the floors didnt looked dirty but it was like sitting on a air-hockey board!

Good quality meat, and the best condiments we’ve had in a Korean restaurant in the area thus far. The service was also friendly, and comparatively fast. as usually we have to wait 10 minutes to even get our order taken/drinks. We got seated quickly, the order was taken as soon as the waitress saw we were ready to, and she served the condiments right away, and was very friendly towards our 5 year old. So again, this place is perfectly fine for children who are not picky eaters — our daughter was ecstatic to see that we had ordered pork belly(we had the pork and beef special), and happily ate a few lettuce wraps with the steak and belly, and really enjoyed the pickles and steamed rice. Condiments include tiny shrimp, friend in a sweet something and garnished with nuts, pickled cucumbers, pickled cabbage and carrot, a mashed potato mixed with egg and some pickles, kimchi and sauces, as well as a broth with strips of seaweed and egg, very tasty. They didn’t have Cass, which is a bummer. The only reason why I’m knocking off a star, was because we ran out of lettuce pretty quickly, and would have loved a second helping of the pickles, and I’m sure we’d have got some if we asked, but we decided to finish our meat and head home because we had a long day ahead the next day. We’ll be coming back, for sure.

Never been to Korea but you get a small taste of visiting Asia in here. Tiny mom and pop business which generally means slower than normal service. Owners spoke little and broken English. Loads of older Korean dudes here after working eating and drinking. But hey, that’s what you call authentic. If you’re picky about the freshness of your meat then this is definitely your spot. You really pay for the quality of meat. However, it didn’t really cut it for me because I like variety with my meals. Everyone else that came here seemed okay with just grilling the meat, dipping it in sauce and drinking. Standard meat plates require a 2 order minimum at about $ 20-$ 30/each plate. I opted for the Beef and Pork combo for 3 people at $ 70-$ 80(forgot the exact price) which could really feed 4 – 5 people. The oyster kimchee fried rice was okay. Not sure if it was because of the oysters but it gave off a stronger than normal fish flavor. Try the pork belly one instead. Size is good for 5 people. Not as many banchan dishes(side dishes) like I’m used at other Korean restaurants. WARNING: Don’t order any soups here. The free house soup was bland. Just a strong spice flavor. The fish egg soup which was recommended by the server(assuming is the owner) was not good either. So 5 of us and only 3 dishes(the combo, fried rice, soup and 1 beer) came out to about $ 130 before tip. I’d rather go spend that $ 130 elsewhere for smaller portions and more variety(5 – 6 dishes).

With seeing several great reviews, I thought I will give 1 Restaurant a try. It was a little disappointing… They required 2 order min. to grill on table top. But My friend and I didn’t want to get 2BBQ, so we we just order the steak and have them cook it in the back. The BBQ steak came out to be sooo chewy, my teeth almost fall off… It came with 2 dipping sauces Soybean soup with blue crab — It has crab in the title, I thought at least I will see 1 blue crab… there is half of a very very small skinny crab in the soup… The tofu was tough, and soup was quite salty… One thing that made this a 2 star Korean restaurant was the limited ban chan… There is only 5, while most Korean restaurant would have 6 – 9 dishes… I always enjoy the banchans, as they can make up for so-so main dishes… Both dishes were on the small side. No service to speak off, they didn’t came refill the tea once or refill any of the banchan… I will stick to my Secret Garden for Korean BBQ!

Don’t go here! It’s terrible, they only serve water. 00. Ok, of course I’m joking, but I’m greedy and want to keep this place a secret. I’m a sucker for family owned businesses and it’s a bonus when they know their food, which this place does! Hopefully these guys will be able to stay in business. Amazing select cuts of meat will keep the carnivores in sublime happy bliss. At least that’s how I was when I still ate meat. My visits now are all seafood, which is just as stellar. Their savory sauces and marinades will keep you coming back. Some of the shellfish seafood here is uncommon and really fresh and tasty. Sorry, I’ve got to say that everything is excellent on it’s own, but add beer and it really hits the spot!

My fiancé & I are currently going through a Korean BBQ phase. I wonder how long this is going to last. Well, my co-workers come to this restaurant on a regular basis, I always wanted to give it a try. We tried a beef combination for two & I was really happy with it. Their BBQ sauce is really good & I was loving it. The lady that serviced us was really sweet too. I can’t wait to come back. :)

This is a great small Korean restaurant. This is as authentic as you can get when it comes to grilling all the fresh meat and seafood. The portion is enough for 2 people and the service is also attentive.

I have never had such a fabulous Korea food until I visited #1. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the South Bay! Its sirlon steak, shrimp and short rib are top notch! Plus, all the side items are all home-made! The smash potato salad is excellent! I can’t praise its food and service enough with words. You gotta check this out. You’ll love it! Recommend wholeheartedly!!!
