Very friendly and welcoming staff. Pleasant and very clean salon. Na did a fantastic job paying close attention to detail with my gel manicure and was very meticulous as she worked. Competitive pricing. Highly recommend! Will be back in 2 weeks for another gel mani, with pedicure as well. Bonus: bottled water and a snack to enjoy with your service!

I was in Santa Clara and decided to Unilocal to get a mani pedi. I chose hunny because they had over 4 stars & had good reviews.
Upon arriving it was dead but I decided to proceed. I think Kim did my pedi and Lani did my mani.
Kim I think that’s her name (she wore glasses) was pleasant throughout the experience. I Just had a pedicure not to long ago so I didn’t really need one but she put in a lot of time and effort n made them look really really clean.
Lani on the other hand did my mani n wasn’t pleasant at all. While she did my nail I told her I wanted them short since I don’t like having long nails. She just filed instead of cutting them. I had to stop her a few times to tell her I wanted them short but I guess because my nails grew out she thought they would look good painted. She was rushing n kept saying is this ok? I just got fed up n asked her for the file to do it myself. She then started talking about me in Vietnamese. I’m mix so they didn’t think I understood but I did the whole time. She kept complaining that I was a hard one to please and that I was annoying. All I ever wanted was short nails! She sucked so bad at cutting cuticles. It’s been only 3 – 4 days and my nails look gross. Omg she was just bad in general
In the end I ended up at hunny2 but made an apt at hunny1. Didn’t know they had 2 nail shops owned by the same people in the same plaza.
All in all Kim gave me the best pedicure I had in awhile. She was so sweet the whole time which is why I will return to see her

Hunny 2 is an extension of the already-​fabulous Hunny Hair and Nail. I used to go to their former location for my nails but since the opening of this location have come here, since my manicurist now is at this location (T).
I’ve been a regular of Hunny’s since moving here to the Bay Area and its always a great experience.
The owner is very warm and hospitable to all clients and they are very accommodating to all who come in, walk in and appointment. I have a chaotic schedule and I’ve had so many last minute drop ins that I’m beyond grateful for them squeezing me in!
Their variety of nail colors has something for everyone, with the best brands, and their gel color collection is even more impressive !
Pedicures there are the best I’ve ever experienced, (I’m from LA) and definitely worth coming in on your day off or after work. They take their time and it’s a great time to unwind.
Manicures and gel are the only nail services I’ve had, as I’m a cellist, and need short nails. My left hand has to retain its calluses and «tough skin» to play, and T is so accommodating to my needs.
In past I’ve skipped out manicures from other places because they would make my fingertips too soft and then I’d be down from playing cello for a week at worst. I love that I can get a manicure from someone I trust .
Be warned, this place is so great and others know it too. It gets crowded on the weekends, So make an appointment if you need services done. It’s worth it.

Hunny #1 is great but Hunny #2 is even greater! I discovered Hunny a few months ago and now I won’t go anywhere else. They’re always super nice, available, and clean. They have awesome hours, too, so they’re always open when I need them! I am obsessed with getting my nails done by «T» because she is a perfectionist and makes really durable gel nails (3 weeks, no problem) that are super thin! She gets the gel right to the edges of my nails and they always turn out perfectly. She shapes the nails to suit your hand shape and has a great color sense. I am really picky about my nails — they have to be perfectly smooth or I hate them — and T always makes them *perfectly everything*. I am seriously spoiled for anyone else!
