I like. Lot of noodle items on their menu and everything is fairly decent. Had lunch there a few times. Service is decent as well. Need to go and try out some of there bigger items but whatever came out(saw on other tables) looked good. I’m not a fan just yet but may be in time.

My favorite place to eat when I want to split a meal with friends. The dukkbokki is delicious and so is the budae jigae. The prices are reasonable for what they serve you. It’s never as crowded as Kunjip or To Bang either which is really nice.

I went in on a Tuesday around lunchtime. Ordering and food turn around was fast. The gentleman manning the register and taking orders was great and relayed to the kitchen that I wanted less spicy Ddeokbokki. However, the message may not have made it fully to the kitchen. I got home to eat the rice cakes and they were ridiculously spicy. I was sweating from the spice. Luckily my boyfriend likes spicy food, so it shall be going to him. The tuna Kimbab is good sized and quite delicious. Food as a whole is flavorful, just be aware that spicy level is full on Korean spice level. If spice is not your game, ask for almost no spice.

Eating here made me miss Korea… We were too hungry to wait for Tobang or Kunjip, and found ourselves at Kami. We ordered Budae Jjigae(), and it was more than enough to share among 4 people. If you’ve never had it, I highly recommend it! Plates are ordered individually, and we ordered spicy Korean pork and rice(), bulgogi and rice(), and dumpling and rice cake soup(). It’s a small space, but the atmosphere was nice, and not too loud. Will definitely be back!

Wanted to try to bang but it closed. Ended up trying this one but it was just okay. The tofu soup is better than the bimbimbam

I love this place so much! Perfect food, the waiter man is so nice, and cheap prices! To the people who gave 1 star for this place, you obviously don’t appreciate home style Korean food. You probably expected something like Jang Su Jang. Well this place is not like that overpriced, overhyped restaurant. My boyfriend and I ordered the kimchi fried rice, the ddobukki, and the boodae ramen. The kimchi fried is so bomb! The rice texture was not too soft, and not too hard. The spicy level was at the correct level and you can taste the bits of kimchi in every bite. The ddobukki: if you love spicy food like me, then please get this! The rice cake was soft and chewy(I HAAATE it when the rice cake is hard), it has good amount of sauce and well portioned fish cake The boodae ramen: yes, the noodles aren’t handmade like the ones from Japanese ramen shop but this is KOREAN. We don’t have handmade ramen. But instead, we use instant ramen and top it off with delicious toppings and customize it however you want. In this dish, it came out with sausages, ham, and cheese(?) and egg. All of this for around $ 7. You would think it would taste like the ones you make from home, but it doesn’t! The noodles are very chewy! And I think they added something to the broth to make it delicious! My boyfriend and I will come here more often! :)

DONOTCOMEHERE! It’s too good and let’s avoid this place being overrun by under appreciated Unilocalers. Flavors are what Korean grandma’s cook up. I’m afraid all the chinese/taiwanese won’t appreciated the flavors. TIA PS. I’m non-Korean married to a Korean so I can be brutally honest. PSS. The Mandu is the biggest I’ve had at any restaurant because it’s home made.

Best kimbap I’ve ever had!!! So fresh, made right when you order with delicately prepared ingredients. A friend brought me here and I’m in a ramen kimbap kim-mari coma now. Never been happier :) The staff is warm and friendly like coming to your aunty’s house. :) Love it!

I ordered take out and it took about 20 minutes for the supposed 10-minute wait. The restaurant was empty aside for a young couple at about 5:30. The tuna roll I got had very little tuna in it, and had lettuce in it? Whack. The rice was also very dry. The kimchi roll had very young kimchi in it and also had lettuce in it… also whack. I think I’ll just stick to Roll House for kimbap. As for the fish cake soup, it was ordinary and something I could have made at home in 10 minutes, if even. It would have been cheaper too. Ordering from here was full of regrets.

Came here to try for the first time. Service was slow but that’s usually not the biggest issue for me. I was not impressed with their spicy pork over rice. They served it with bacon and it was 90% fat. There was close to zero protein in my dish. When I stated I was not pleased with the meat they said that was how their customers like their spicy pork dish. Who the fuck likes to eat spicy fat with rice? They offered no alternative dish to replace it. No refund. Not even a discount. I paid full price for fat and rice. Will not be coming back.

Don’t think Tobang is the only place you can have dinner! I walked in here wanting to try their kimchi bacon fried rice with cheese. They did not disappoint! It’s awesome and for 13.99 it’s a great price versus competitors like Dae Bak! They also have kakaotalk ordering by adding them as Kamikitchen!

The first time I came I got the rice cake soup with dumplings and that was delicious. The seasoning of the broth was perfect so I didn’t have to add in extra salt or soy sauce like at some other places. There are only 2 side dishes but that’s okay because the main dish was awesome. This time I came with friends and we got the basic set of dukkbokki which is $ 16.99 and one order of fried chicken. The dukkbokki set comes with rice cakes, ramyun, fish cakes and an egg. I loved that it’s cooked at the table, and once again the seasoning was perfect. The sauce was slightly sweet which made it even better. The fried chicken was mediocre. Service is okay and they give you a separate jar of water so you can refill it whenever and however you like. Overall, my experience here was great and the food was delicious.

Went to Kami with my husband and his parents for dinner. I’m a Korean girl from Korea(came to the states a few years ago) who always misses quality Korean food. The dishes at Kami are nothing fancy, but very close to what you can get from a typical bunsik restaurant in Korea. We shared spicy pork, curry cutlet, tuna roll kimbap, dumpling soup with rice cake, and sizzling Kimchi fried rice with bacon and cheese. Everything was delicious. Their bacon cheese kimchi rice is SUPER good, but for some reason it’s written only in Korean in the menu, so you might want to ask them about it directly if you don’t speak Korean. The prices at Kami are reasonable, and my American family loved all the dishes we had. My mom-in-law said Kami is probably her second favorite Korean restaurant in the bay area after Kunjip.

Very Decent food for excellent price. Fortunately(unfortunate for the owner), the place is not too popular so there’s never a wait time. Come with friends and order different kinds of food!

Ordered variety of KimBap to go. So many choices but all was good. Next time I will ask for peppers on the side keep my brothers from eating too fast. Tip: ask them to wrap each KimBap individually in aluminum foil; better portion control when you have family members with big appetite.

Very slow service. Ramen was instant noodles instead of hand-made, really!!? Broth lacks of flavor. Curry was not impressive. The cheese in the noodle was pretty bad. Note to self– do not ever return here!

This place is simply amazing. If this is your first time though, make sure you order a variety of food and do it family style(mix the menus up, don’t just order all spicy. bc you won’t enjoy it as much) I usually go here with 1 – 2 co worker and we always order the same thing. 1) spicy sujebee(noodle soup) 2) ban ban kimbap(combination rolls made with tuna and beef) 3) cheese ddukbogi(rice cakes with cheese) 4) kim mal ree(fried vermicelli noodles wrapped in seaweed) You should definitely try this place :)

Mediocre Korean food for an above average price… I came here with a friend and order the bulgogi rice dish and the spicy ricecake(ddrokbbokki). There wasn’t reall much complaints with the bulgogi, it tastes like anything else you would find in any Korean food place. The ricecake was kinda –___– I guess it has the benefits of being«fresh.» they used way too many pepper flakes for it to have tasted good… There was more of a grainy texture to the food cause of the pepper flakes than the normal soft chewiness of the rice cake. Save your dolla bills and just go to Lawrence plaza lol.

Entered a almost empty shop that looks clean. The people there were very patient in explaining what is good since there isn’t pictures on the menu. We had homemade dough noodle soup, that tasted fabulously homemade and hearty. Ordered Ramen was good & not so spicy. Fried dumplings were delicious! Steamed and fried well, with ample stuffings. Fried rice was meh, the texture was great but it was slightly oily and generic veg like prepackaged corn, peas, carrots. One star down cos they only gave 2 sides(kimchi & pickled celery that was strange) and they weren’t great. Another star down cos they aren’t generous with ingredients in entrées. 1) dough noodles(only had few small slices of cucumber/potatoes/onions & slivers of seaweed) 2) ramen(1 egg) 3) rice(tiny slices of bacon-ish meat and tiny veggies). Will I come back again cos it’s supposedly MSG free, nice staff, affordable, no lines & overall pretty tasty despite the stinginess of ingredients & sides? Yes.

Not sure what to make of this place initially the menu is eclectic and covers a bunch of things. On a rainy day i got the budae ramen which has rice cakes, cabbage, ham, hot dog like sausage, and cheese sauce? It’s spicy to boot. The noodles were way soft but the broth was good. Definitely unexpected. The guy working was really nice and the pan chan were tasty. All that for $ 12!
