Kelly-Moore Paint Store

I can’t say enough good things about this store and it’s staff! I’ve done several paint projects over the years and started noticing that even though the color samples I had were from other vendors like Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, Lowes, the contractors I hired would still buy Kelly Moore paint (but color matched to what I chose). I asked one of them why they did this and they simply said Kelly Moore paint is easier to apply, is thicker (so less coats) and lasts longer. I started using Kelly Moore paint on my DIY projects and realized they were right.
The staff at this store has always been very helpful and patient with me. One of the associates, Jake, always shows me what coupons I can use to save on my purchases and gives me great price saving advice on the tools I buy. Recently, I came in with a shopping cart full of old paint that I wanted to recycle and he just took the cart from me and said he would take care of it. I appreciate his positive, helpful customer service and I would recommend this store highly.

So today at work we ran into a small facilities issue and a installation crew I had working on site put a pretty gnarly ding on a wall in our office. We had three different crews working throughout our 49,000 sq ft office and this ding happens to be on the wall of our General Manager’s office. Of course that would be just my luck. One of the guys was quickly able to fill the deep gash but we still need to paint. Even better, we haven’t painted this wall in at least 7 years so finding a can of matching paint in our warehouse wasn’t going to happen. So this means that we can’t just paint over the patch job since it would stick out like a sore thumb, we were left with no choice but to paint the entire wall. And of course this wall just so happens to be about 45 feet long and 13 feet high. Good grief!
Using my trusty Unilocal app I head out to the nearest Kelly Moore to pick up paint and supplies. I walk in and let the employees know my situation and provide the details for a paint we had previously used in another area of the office. They helped me figure out all of the items I would need to have the crew paint the wall. They calculated how much paint I would need, recommended the type of paint (which ended up being the less expensive option of the two available which saved some $), helped me pick out the rollers, paint brushes and drop cloths. He quickly rang up my total and then even carried all of my items to my car for me! Yay Kelly Moore. Thanks for taking the sting out of an already stressful afternoon.

About two weeks ago, I came into this Kelly Moore to find out how much paint I would need to do 3 bedrooms and what materials would come in handy. Jake was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the paint products. I have no background knowledge about paint, Jake informed me about the sorts of sheens in the paint and which ones were best for interior use. This guy has all the answers! Another employee Jose was very welcoming and kind enough to help me out the door with my stuff. Overall I had a great experience with these friendly individuals who make customers like myself feel valued. Thanks Kelly Moore!

Very friendly, adorable, staff. I never had to even ask for help. The man who helped me was completely informative. He helped me learn about my options for inside paint as well as exterior, gave me a wonderful color pack, pointed me to helpful brochures. In fact their book «Color Harmony» taught me a whole other way to think about choosing colors and I have a BFA in art. There is Eco friendly choices in the low VOC paint and cool paint for outside the house. When I left the store, Staff members I had not even encountered called out «Goodbye.» My contractor told me to check out the Kelly Moore colors, and I will tell him to buy them at this store if I have a choice. Easy parking, with a convenient El Camino location.

My daughter wanted to spatter paint her room (think Jackson Pollock). This required lots of primer, paint, and supplies. This was a bigger job than we’d ever done before, and we also needed help choosing splatter colors that would work together.
The team in the store was great. The manager helped us choose colors, and several of the staff gave us tips on how to do the job right. Most of them seem to have painting experience.
We noticed something else-​we opened a can of Benjamin Moore paint to touch up another room after using several gallons of Kelly Moore paint. The Benjamin Moore paint was thin junk that dripped everywhere, compared to the thick Kelly Moore paint that went on the walls really smooth. And the Benjamin Moore paint cost more.
Great store, great staff.

I went to this store this morning to buy some paint for the interior of my house. I talked to a lady that was not polite and rude. She said she couldn’t understand me ??? I just told her I will go to another shop that will be able to understand me. I don’t think I have a bad accent… It is the first time it happened to me. I went to Home Depot and was able to find what I was looking and cheaper. I will not recommend Kelly Moore Paint store for this reason. Also the product choice was quite limited.
