I live close by and came here about once a week on the weekends for bagels since they opened. Only get the 2nd star because the bagels are good. Last time I paid for all my bagels and was waiting for the sandwich I ordered. I must have ordered the last cinnamon bagel because all of a sudden I hear another lady that works there yelling about where the cinnamon bagel is. It was clearly on display when I came in and as I was the only one in the shop the cashier gave it to me. Completely normal transaction. The other worker proceeds to tell the cashier that she needs to get the bagel back from me because«she is gonna be pissed». I can only imagine the«she» in that statement is more of a regular than I am who she does not want to anger by giving away her regular cinnamon bagel. Clearly I’m not very important. The cashier was noticeably uncomfortable because I could obviously hear the back and forth between the two of them about how she just sold it to me. Instead of the other lady coming over to explain it to me she made the cashier awkwardly ask me for my bagel back. The cashier was extremely apologetic, but the other worker had this strange smile on her face clearly only seeing the humor in the situation. I have a sense of humor, I laughed my ass off about this with my friends at home right after, but as a business you need to offer better customer service than that. Before I left she tossed a scone in the bag and said«here this is sweet». Haven’t been back since.

I ordered a lox and cream cheese sandwich with jalapeño and cheese bagel. There was ample salmon, vegetables(tomatoes, red onion, sprouts lettuce) and cream cheese. It was super filling and you definitely get more than what you pay for. The pickles were a nice touch. I also ordered 2 lox and cream cheese sandwich wheat bagels take out for the fam. They enjoyed it as well! The bagel sandwich maker was super quick and the staff is polite. I want to try the whitefish bagel sandwich next time!

Nice little place on the mariposa Plaza. Finally achieves the dream of trying a lox bagel. That’s the one with smoked salmon and cream cheese. And I am glad I got to try it at this place. It’s really good cause I can taste the smokiness of the salmon and the cheesiness of the Asiago bagel was really spot on and it was unlike any other Asiago bagel I had seen. And I got their freshly squeezed orange juice which also tasted very nice and refreshing. I will say that the cream cheese was a little bit overwhelming, but that’s okay I can just ask for a little less next time. But yeah it seems like pesto bagel is really popular here. I tried getting it but there was no more at all when I got there, so next time go earlier for the ones that you really want to get.

Really great, fresh bagels. Nice staff. Better than Noah’s, way better than Panera. Good homemade cream cheeses. Will be our regular bagel place from here on out!

Bagels are good but I like the spreads more here. A handful of good options to choose from. Good for quick Togo breakfast in the neighborhood. If you go there, might as well stop by the donut shop nearby ;) #sweetTooth

I recently moved to Santa Clara and on our move in day we needed some quick breakfast food. We jumped on Unilocal and Main Street Bagels popped up. We decided to try them out! After trying their breakfast croissant sandwiches we were hooked! Love Main Street Bagels! Highly recommended!

Hands-down this place makes every bagel have its own personality. This place is always clean and the workers there are really friendly. If you go there enough times and order the same thing, they’ll remember your name and your order. I really admire a place that makes you feel at home, and this place does that. Not sure how busy it is in the afternoons, but every time I go, it’s never busy. I usually get the egg, sausage, jack cheese, and sun dried cream cheese on a pesto bread, and it’s been that consistent goodness each time I get it. Goodbye plain ol’ bagel cream cheese!

Service is very nice. Place seems clean and everything in the fridge seems fresh and upon date. Been here twice. Sandwiches are ok, my belt with avocado was a bit mushy. House of bagels is a bit better. This place is just ok. Bagels and cream cheese pretty good though. Especially the jalapeño cream cheese. I would come back again on occasion.

2shops away from Stan’s donuts. Had bagels from here for brunch today. Got the lux and cream cheese with everything on a jalapeño bagel. I find that they are too generous with the cream cheese. Too much for me. I like the texture of the bagel though. Will be back, but only for the bagels, not the sandwiches.

First, know that no place in history has ever been great at making both bagels AND coffee. The bagels here are no joke, but the coffee is disgusting. You’ve been warned. Bagel selection is sparse after 10am, so get in early. The onion is the best, either as a breakfast sandwich or with the spinach cream cheese(SO much better than plain). Everything Bagel was just okay, croissant sandwich was solid, and our massive order was ready quickly and clearly labelled. But the coffee beverages(both regular drip and a mocha) were not well received.

The best bagel place/café I’ve been to anywhere in the bay(yes, even compared to SF), hands down! The gal that runs it in the afternoons(Lin) is so sweet, beautiful, and works very diligently to make sure you get your order quickly and neatly, and that it tastes great! The shop is open from 6 am to 5 pm so even if you’re sick or hungover, you’ll likely make it in for a breakfast item. Her hot mochas are excellent, with two shots of espresso. The environment is clean and cozy. It didn’t feel like they were trying hard to be something they’re not. Free wifi. I had a #6 breakfast item(egg, bacon, avocado, tomato, and pepper-jack on a cranberry bagel). It was delicious. There’s plenty of variety, but the menu is not busy or annoying to look at. I’m totally coming here again and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I don’t believe in love at first sight, but I think I fell in love at first bite when I tried my first lox bagel a few years ago at a small shop in Berkeley. When I heard Main Street Bagel opened up near my current place, I knew I had to get my hands on a lox sandwich right away. Good selection of bagel flavors, cream cheeses, and sandwich fillings. The lox sandwich is really good — I’ve tried it on whole wheat everything and whole wheat sesame, both of which are the perfect chewiness when toasted. Vegetables and lox are fresh. Service is no-nonsense and gets started on your order right away. Great little local family-owned business that serves good bagels(and has WiFi). A neighborhood staple!

They only see me here when I have a hangover, and the lox sandwich never fails. Customer service is excellent, and they also do a fantastic job of keeping the customer front clean.

Main Street Bagels Rock! Finally, an authentic bagel shop opens in Silicon Valley. Forget Noah’s and the others who make this claim. This place transports me to a fabled New York bakery, H&H Bagels. If you are looking for a genuine bagel, this is your place. Marin Seng, the manager, is friendly and a real beauty. Let her recommend bagels to try. She may even gift you some with your order. I’ve been spreading to word to friends. Try it, you will be happy you did!

Great amount of bagels to select from & the price is more than just reasonable! I ordered an Avocado & Turkey Croissant, with a Bango smoothie & it had deff’ more than I expected. Great taste, fresh ingredients & nice service, I will absolutely come by again. Even at a busy time it’s worth the wait.

I decided to try out Main Street Bagels and it was absolutely delicious!!! We had a large order of a variety of their breakfast sandwiches, and they were super quick to make them. The lady that helped us was friendly and patient while we were trying to figure out what exactly needed to be ordered. They have a LARGE selection of different types of bagels and I am definitely going back to try more of their menu item. At this visit I had their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on sesame whole wheat bagel. They definitely don’t skimp out in the ingredients they use and the bagel especially tasted really fresh with the perfect consistency I like in a bagel. Food was absolutely delicious and great customer service. I will definitely be a returning customer!

#6 for dine in presented on a silver plate, nice take. Next time will order to go to let the cheese fully melt. Overall good bagel breakfast sandwich with very fresh avocado and the bacon is nice and crispy. $ 2.00 out of the cooler a side of the sliced Jalapeño cream cheese. VERYGOOD and not as hot as others claim. I suggest using a knife and adding some to each bite of your breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately only used 1⁄3 of the $ 2.00 side and asked the lady if smaller amounts are available and she said yes but you must request it. Coffee is decent and they have Vanilla and Hazelnut creamer large containers for self serve — awesome! Newer, clean spot with nice ladies behind the register. Just a couple doors down from Stans Donut shop too — literally, like 15 feet.

Had a really good croissant, and they were quick! Will definitely be stopping by here for a to-go breakfast again when in a hurry. The sausage was perfect and the bacon was crispy, and the croissant didn’t get soggy(my pet peeve). Photo: I got a # 6, no tomatoes + sausage($ 1)

Stopped by for a bagel this past Saturday morning when I got the craving for a Lox bagel sando. I ordered their Lox on an everything bagel(which might have been the most well seasoned everything bagel I’ve ever eaten). I was pleased with what it came with(tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, capers, sprouts, &lettuce) though I think I’d axe the sprouts and lettuce next time out of personal preference. They used a favorable amount of cream cheese on that bad boy too which was also a big plus for me– I can’t stand when bagels have been stingily cream-cheesed. I would have liked more lox on my bagel though, and for $ 8 a pop, I definitely deserved more. I enjoyed my bagel enough to go back for another next time the mood strikes!

Easily the best bagels I(an east coast jew) have had in the bay area. The everything bagel(the one that matters) is excellent. It’s the right size, appropriately chewy, absolutely covered in salts/seeds/garlic/onion. Perfect. The opposite of most bagels in the bay area which are huge, too pillow-y, and light on toppings. And they have whitefish salad and it is awesome!!! I have literally not found whitefish salad anywhere since I moved to the bay area, and this place has a tasty version. It’s not bs cream cheese with a little whitefish, there’s a good amount of salty fish in there. Woohoo!
