Sadly to say this place has closed down after visiting last week. Thats why I ended up at BBQ town which is my second choice to having Korean Style Sashimi Don Buri. good portions and tasty food.

Good combo deals for lunch /dinner! Got udon, tonkatsu, salad, rice, and miso for about $ 10! Wow!!! The food was overall very good for a «fast food» kind of sushi place. Lawrence Plaza’s really got it going on with all the good food located in one spot. Recommend!!! Go! There are a lot of choices between Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food! And… Paris Baguette is next door…

Date: 04/13/2013 — Went to the food court to have some sushi there and ordered a Tuna Salad — the picture shows tuna and garden salad. What I got was a BIG plate with one big piece of lettuce, bean sprout and tuna. I asked the 2 people behind the counter — «you know this is not a tuna salad» and that the tuna salad I got does not even look anywhere close to the picture. I will not recommend you or anyone eating at this place!!! What a *&$)*#^ ripoff!!!

OEC Sushi is located in a food court that only serves Korean food. I decided on OEC because I wanted to easily share a meal and they were the only place that had combos. I ordered the tonkatsu and udon combo for 9.99, which is quite cheap considering the amount of food I received. The tonkatsu wasn’t too fatty, but it was a little thin. The udon didn’t have any meat in it, but it had plenty of veggies and noodles. Overall the dish was average.

Great TONKATSU! If you’re trying to decide where you want to get your tonkatsu from in the Lawrence Food Court come here! I’ve tried pretty much all the places and OEC has the best one. It was fried nicely, not greasy, and the breading to pork ratio was excellent. Other places in the court I’ve tried give you slivers of pork dredged with tons of batter and breading(the amount of breading was literally thicker than the pork) but not OEC! I got the tonkatsu udon combo and the udon was good as well. The broth was flavorful but not too salty and the noodles were cooked just right. My mom got the rice bowl with fish eggs() and she was very happy with her meal. The dudes who were working were super nice and very helpful. No customer service issues here unlike my experience with Seoul Jung. Will go back and get mooooaaaarrrr tonkatsu. And for what it’s worth, if you’re going here to get blow your mind sushi, you’re cray… it’s a food court.

The only entrée I ever order from here is the Sashimi Donburi. Many make the comparison to the Chirashi Bowls from Marukai Market or other Japanese restaurants. I like it because they give you a good amount of fresh sashimi on a huge, I mean huge, bowl of greens. The sauce is what the chef calls as a «spicy Korean sauce». It’s not that spicy but it is really really good. The entrée also comes with a side of rice and bowl of miso broth. I love it here just because of this entrée, but I am curious to try their sushi which may change my rating.

i typically come here for cheap rolls and sashimi donburi. Price-wise, its decent even though the food court atmosphere brings a cheaper feel to the area. Word to the wise, dont come here near closing. my sashimi donburi normally has salmon, but this time it didnt.

My only question after ordering beef udon: WHERE’S THEBEEF? Or more accurately: Where’s the beef I paid $ 9 to have with my noodles?

Absolutely YUMMAY, especially for being in a food court. Prices are slightly lower than at sit-down sushi places(8.95 for cherry blossom roll) but OEC Sushi still delivers with monster-sized portions. Service is very friendly and efficient. Order sushi, receive a beeper, and wait for beeper to sound off. My favorite part is when the beeper goes BUZZBUZZBUZZ all over the table, which lets me know my sushi is ready. This is music to my ears that signifies there will soon be harmony INMYMOUTH(courtesy of OEC sushi).

I came here with my sister and babygirl one day because we were having a girl’s day out. We came to the food court and couldn’t decide on what we wanted to eat. So we decided to share the tempura combo. It came with 8 peices of deep fried CA rolls and whole bunch of combination tempura(veggie and shrimp) a salad and miso soup. Needless to say we were stuffed after we shared this menu item and I believe it was under $ 15. Which was a really good deal considering how much tempura you get. The batter was delicious too, it was perfect. Not too dough-y and not too drenched in yuck oil. The oil they used tasted fresh. The only thing was that they barely speak English, very broken so it was a bit hard to comprehend what they were saying and to communicate specifics.

I LOVETHISPLACE! The owners and sushi chefs are our homies and remember our EXACTORDER. I don’t even have to say anything anymore. I personally don’t like traditional japanese sushi that much, the rice is too sweet and the rolls are too bland. I do, however, love korean style sushi. YUMZOOOOO! This place has the freshest, most delicious korean style rolls I can remember enjoying in the last 4 years. The«She’s So Sexy» roll, minus the cream cheese, «Climax» roll and«Dragon» are in my repertoire. I kindly request that instead of miso soup I get the yummy in house side salad and they always do it and never even give me the stink eye. Their frequent buyer card is the BEST deal in town. If you are a loyal customer, you get TONS of free food. Be nice to these folks and they’ll treat you like a Queen. ^_^

Yea! I’m finally back down to size 00(I gained 7ish lbs by stress eating from my job soooooo I quit… Hehehe) and I wanted to celebrate by eating fried food! Jason and I come to the Galleria at least once a week for our Korean feasts and I wanted to try the sushi spot for once. After looking at their board, I chose the Tempura Combo which includes tempura veggies and a deep fried CA roll(salad and soup included, too). After a few minutes it came out, piping hot, and smelling like deliciousness. I rarely eat fried food(I need to live a long life w my Fiancé so no heart attacks please!) but I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my combo. I couldn’t finish it at all; it isn’t a lot of food but my tummy can only take so much grease, but again — disgustingly great! I came back here twice more and tried their sashimi noodle salad and the sushi was incredibly fresh and had thick, succulent pieces… *DROOL*

This is as good as it gets when it comes to mall food. Sushi here is pretty affordable, and c’mon people. this is a mall food court! Don’t expect to get top notch food here or at any of the other vendors… That being said, the rolls here are tasty. I like the Lion King. It’s tasty, the sauce isn’t too tangy, served freshly baked, at around $ 8. Other sushi rolls they have are: Baked scallop, dragon, caterpiller, etc etc. Portions are pretty big, one roll fills me up well. They also serve, don buri, udon, …and others. The wait is a little long. I had to wait around 10 mins or more but I think it’s because they had to cook the salmon. Service here is also very friendly and after you purchase something, they give you a stamp card and after 5 purchases you get a free california roll and after 10 purchases you get a free sashimi donburi. Kinda cool.

I was really craving some cheap kimbap from the Hankook market but they were all out! So I decided to check out the food court here for the first time. I was glad they were still open on Monday, at 8:30pm. I went with the sashimi noodle salad. I can’t say the fish was super fresh, but it was pretty good and the soba noodles were yummy. It was a pretty huge portion for $ 11, and I had to save about 1⁄3 for the next day. The cashier was super friendly and ALWAYS smiling. I felt so welcome there, as opposed to the neighboring food stall which I will review next!

The chicken don katsu and sauce was good. I enjoyed the whole plate. The only drawback is the food court atmosphere.

I was majorly craving udon so I ordered it at this little food court place. I wasn’t thinking it would be very good, but I wanted to give it a try. There was a nice older man at the register and you get a pager for your food. It actually takes a while to get the food. I was waiting probably up to ten minutes. When I got my bowl, it looked all nice in a big bowl. It wasn’t in like a plastic one or looked like it was packaged. I was really surprised at how it tasted. Very yummy. Noodles were nicely cooked and the perfect texture. Not too hard or soft and perfectly chewy. I loved the broth. Was so flavorful and not too salty. The perfect balance. It was also cheap I think. I remember it being only like 8 to 9 dollars for a large bowl. I haven’t tried the other food yet, but they seem to take time to properly prepare their food.

Definitely a great alternative to mall food court at your local valley fair. I mean this is an asian food court! I didn’t realize how ginormous their portions are here until I ordered the Donkatsu meal. That filled me up all the way since it included miso soup, white rice, and salad. The Don Katsu was nice and crispy. Very good actually with the side sauce to dip in. I was impressed since I wasn’t expecting great food at a food court! The lion king roll was so-so. Mayo was literally on top of it instead of baked sauce, normally done at restaurants. Too much rice in their sushi rolls so we ended up eating the main important ingredients instead. Great deal for a great price! Next time, no sushi ordering other than boxes and meals!!!

What can I say? It’s food court sushi… Got a bento box with chicken teriyaki, rice, salad, CA rolls, greasy gyoza and tempura. The food was heavy and made me feel really guilty eating it… the amount of oil in the gyoza and veggie tempura gave me a bit of a tummy ache but we just wanted to get something quick and easy to eat in the car. The miso soup tasted like packaged powder mix. The rice and salad were good, though!(heh…) Will get my fill at Paris Baguette instead(unless they run out of food, again…)

Totally agree that the fish quality is not so good. But that’s why this place is cheap. You pay for what you get. I’ve been here at least 10 times since it opened, and at one point it was pretty decent, but the quality has just gone downhill. They were pretty good when they had a sushi chef who knew what he was doing behind the counter. Recently, it’s been a couple of bumbling guys who obviously don’t know what the hell they’re doing. Last time we ordered, counterboy handled our money then went off to make our sushi. Not a fan of that. Or our food. Our sashimi bento had like 4 small slices of fish, and they charge a premium for that. The rice on our rolls were all over the place and falling apart. Don’t think I’ll ever return unless I see some staff changes and quality improvement. And in the meantime, they should consider taking down the Best of Unilocal sign hanging above their register. It’s a bit misleading.
