I had this company move me again and I do not understand the previous reviews on this company as I have found them to be very hard workers and did another great job for me. I refer many people for moving and always refer this company and have never had a problem.

I used them in June 2015 for a move from a 2 bedroom apartment to a single family home. I was given a written quote of $ 510 for 5 hours of moving and an hour of drive time. They arrived early(that was awesome) and quickly started loading. None of what I had been told would happen happened, no wrapping on my furniture, no care to my floors. The first piece of furniture they took out was banged against the door frame several times before making it outside. Once they completed loading(or so I thought because there were still a dozen boxes in my garage that they didn’t have room for) they were on their way to the other house. Prior to leaving they mentioned that it was cash only when I had been told I could use a credit card with a 5% fee so I was not prepared for cash. After them unloading and being done in less than 5 hours drive time and all they then charged me $ 615 and would not give me a receipt. Putting the furniture into place I noticed that every single piece of my furniture is damaged and I don’t own cheap furniture. I emailed the company and got no response so sent a follow up email and asked for them to confirm receipt of the email which I did get but was told that I would have to take it up with management. I then called and spoke with a man who claimed to be the owner and expressed my concerns with the move and he said he would look into it and get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard a single thing. I have used movers in the past but this was my first and LAST time using Best In The West. My advice is run the other direction and find someone else unless you don’t care about your belongings!!!

Formerly known as Gardner’s Moving. The unfortunate thing about this is this — They are still in business! Which means they will con you with a low estimate and up sell the prices during your move for whatever reason they may have. Both reviews are dead on accurate and I experienced this first hand on my move. The problem of this company stems from the top, talk to the owner a bit and you’ll understand the reviews. Antonio is ok, because he needs to «close» the deal. Once that is completed, he is just like the owner(their related btw) so you’ve been warned. Avoid this company.

THISUSEDTOBEGARDNER’S MOVINGANDSTORAGE!!! And BEFORE that it was: Safe & Sound Moving & Storage Co. - PLEASEGOOGLETHEM: My mother and I hired Gardner’s to pack, store, and deliver our furniture and many bins and boxes when we moved. Anton(A «Relocation Consultant») came to our home April 17, 2013 and took an inventory of all items to be moved and packed. He explained the quality of service equal to that of their website, along with ALL the services that would be given(We had an additional storage unit to be emptied, he CALLEDBACK after forgetting to include that in our WRITTENQUOTE which changed the fee to $ 3200 from $ 1344). The three movers that came to pack our things May 28th(Mike, Jason, and Marlin) were outstanding; great attitudes, very efficient, and very professional. A check for $ 1200 was given as «half» was due at pick up, we asked why less then half was asked for and no one could answer but noted that $ 1600 more was due on the receipt. Our home filled a truck which was then taken to the company’s storage facility. Two days ago, June 19th, my mother received a call from Barron Gardner around 8:00am verifying the address of the storage. She did not know it and gave him my cell number. After giving him most of the address(I did NOT know the zip code) he informs me that payment is due in Cash or by Credit Card. I tried to explain that since no one told us before now, we only had limited funds. After an hour discussion with both myself and my mother Barron ultimately reduced the amount VERBALLY given to $ 1400. I met one truck at our storage, and that truck/delivery went smoothly. The truck which came from Gardner’s Storage unloaded not only broken antique furniture, but it seems they tried to fix what they broke: Gorilla Glue and Liquid Nails in antique furniture, 12 penny nails in computer desks, a vacuumed sealed dress on the ground, and MANY missing pieces. Both my mother and I have tried talking to Barron about what was broken or missing to just being hung up on or calls ignored. We will be asking for a police escort in hopes of finding the rest of our things in their warehouse. Update(6⁄2015): We have gotten an attorney and would like to hear from ANYONE that wants to take legal action. Please send me a message for more information. The Statue of Limitations is 3 Years. Update(11⁄2015): We have given all of our documents and images to the attorneys. Sadly, there were just not enough people that called and followed through for a class action against these guys. I really hope others aren’t taken advantage of when this company changes it’s name one more time. Good Luck Everyone! For further updates, message me for my eMail. ;) THISUSEDTOBEGARDNER’S MOVINGANDSTORAGE!!! PLEASEGOOGLETHEM: UPDATE(1⁄2016): Court date is set for end of February. If anyone is willing to testify against them, please message me. UPDATE(4÷07÷2016): Courts granted our request for an extension in order to Serve Barron the papers. Seems he has a new«friend» at the old Storage location until matters settle down. Do NOT approach!

WARNING ! POLICECALLEDDURINGMOVE ! 3RUSSIANMOVERSSTOLE $ 680CASHTHATWASHIDDENINCLOSETTHATTHEYWERENOTTOMOVEANYITEMSOUTOF. When«Foreman Sam» was confronted about this, he became abusive verbally to me. I called Best in the West 877−246−4656 and talked with Barron who said he was the owner of the company. He was just as abusive and would not work to help resolve problem. Police officer spoke to him and he was not willing to do anything to accommodate me at all. Instead, he required that I now pay cash instead of using my credit card, and pay for the time the men had to wait for the police and the matter to be disputed, and for me to go to the bank to get cash. So instead of owing $ 440 I had to pay them $ 990CASH or they would keep all my furniture as it was already on the truck. I also had to have it all unloaded in my storage unit by 5pm or they would drive away with the pieces that were still on the truck. Thus I was not only robbed by these men, but had to unload the furniture along with them. These big guys would only carry 1 item in each hand and I was loading a big dolly with heavy boxes and moving most of the stuff. I’m 62 years old !!! They were talking in another language to one another so I couldn’t understand what they were saying even though they also spoke English. This company is a ring of crooks. The Forman told my son that he smokes pot on a daily basis and his eyes were bloodshot, temper terrible and brain dead. Best Theives in the West!

My stuff arrived… eventually. That’s the best I can say for this company. After getting massive number of replies from varies people after (Which is NOT a moving company, they just sell your information), I chose to go with this company as they were the one who had a reasonable rate for a medium distance move for a two bedroom apartment, to be picked up and delivered next day. Again, the only thing positive that happened was my stuff at least arrived. The quote they provided was not what I was charged, because they hired out yet another company to handle it and didn’t give them all the information. They were supposed to pick up my stuff first thing in the morning, according to their own people, but didn’t show up until about 9pm at night. My stuff didn’t arrive next day even though I paid additional for it to be. After they picked up my stuff, they changed from accepting credit cards(from company #2) to only accepting cash(from company #3). If I could go back in time, it would have actually been easier moving myself and towing the car and just hiring people to load and unload. AND I would have saved a lot of money AND I would have had my stuff next day.
