Eat lunch at Chinese Village twice a month… take out from time to time. 1st let me say the take out value(especially for combo meals family style) is excellent. Lot’s of tasty food for a great price. If you are a family of 4, you can place a 2 or 3 person order and have food leftover. Lunch specials are also tasty and affordable. One recommendation is for lunch is to pass on the rice and ask for extra vegetables… no extra charge and you leave feeling like you ate well. If the menu was more creative, I would give 5 stars. Chinese Village continues to be a favorite for affordable, tasty Chinese food. As others have mentioned, you don’t need a reservation.

Always get my Chinese food from here! It’s delicious. My favorite is the salt and pepper shrimp. Their staff is friendly and we never have to wait long for our food. Even when we order some food for pick up we always get a free extra appetizer.

My go-to place for a nice bowl of won ton soup or cream cheese wontons. Friendly staff, bright and airy atmosphere, good variety on the menu and decent prices. Almost always busy(which is a good sign) yet it never seems too loud. Love coming here solo, on a date, or with a friend.

I come for a nice quiet meal. They get good business but it’s never too crowded. I always get a Lunch Special on the back of their menus because they’re a bargain, and then a dish of some fried rice on the side. A solid combo. The staff is polite but straight to business never wasting any time. The food is prepared sooner rather than too late and it’s flavor always on point. So if you’re looking for a peaceful spot to pick up any Chinese food, this place just might do. Catch you on the next special.

Great wor wonton soup and great Kung pao Calamari. Attentive service and good chardonnay all fairly priced! Been coming here for years and never a bad meal. Solo Waitress had her hands full with holiday guests. I miss The Pearl on Seabright gone almost 10 years due to wheelchair access which was ludicrous as rear entry was flat from parking lot but disabled attorney targeted immigrant businesses and intimidated them some out of business very unfair.

This is our standby for Chinese take out. When ordering to-go they always give you comp. you soup while you wait. The food here is tasty and affordable and we always get great service. I recommend that and pepper calamari, there is nothing like it in town. Otherwise, I also like to order the cream cheese wontons, Kung pao chicken(which has tons of veggies) and the broccoli beef.

Best Chinese food in the area hands down. They’re reasonably priced, and the staff was all smiles. They truly made me feel welcome. I got the food for take out, and couldn’t believe how good it was when I started eating. I thought with the price and service they couldn’t have good food as well… wrong, I’m a happy camper and hope you will be too :) I really think some of the other negative reviews were on off nights, and hope they give this place another shot. But some of the people who reviewed it have nothing but negative things to say in most of there reviews, and shouldn’t post reviews, or interact with other humans until they get their chip off their shoulders. Enjoy!

Horrible tasting food. Even the rice was bad. This was my first and last time as this restaurant. I ordered a special that included sweet and sour pork, which I asked to substitute for sweet and sour chicken. They charged a dollar for this. What I got was four, yes four, pieces of sweet and sour rocks of chicken that were floating in sauce that was much more sour than sweet. The almond chicken that came with the special was just barely edible. I am still looking at this plate of nasty food, trying to decide if I’m just gonna chuck it and go to carpos …

Tried to place an order for delivery to Dominican. No delivery. Woman on the phone was a bit rude.

We’ve been coming to Chinese village since I was a young kid. Not only is the food amazing(Hunan shrimp is one of my favorites!) but it’s so nice that it’s run by a woman(Sally) that has been there forever and is almost always at the restaurant! The staff is great too– the same friendly faces over many years!

The food was a very bland. The worst part was the attitude of the staff. Very rude and no smiles. Maybe a 730pm dinner was to late for them on a Friday. Will never go back and I am a local :(

We had good, prompt service. Food was tasty but a little salty. Potstickers were totally amazing!

The food itself wasn’t too bad. But when my friends and I paid the bill the waitress took it and didn’t seem to think she needed to give back change. I had to go up to her and ask for our change(and she didn’t even give us back the correct amount)

I love Chinese village! Nothing satisfies my cravings for yummy and healthy Asian food like this place. I’ve been coming here for 14 years and I have never been unhappy with the food. Sally, Schwinlan, and Lee are always so kind. We’re basically family! If I need a quiet place to enjoy my food here it is.

I love Chinese Village. Sally and her whole staff are wonderful. In the summer they have fresh herbs and veggies from the garden. If you are vegetarian they will fix up almost anything you ask for. I love spicy green beans with basil and plum sauce. Eggplant with garlic sauce — da bom Salt and pepper shrimp — yum They have a bar too!

Worse than mall food! BLAND! Ordered pork chow mein, pork fried rice, and orange chicken. I figured these are such simple popular dishes that one couldn’t mess up. Boy was I wrong! It was gross to say the least. In the trash it went. I hate wasting food so I kept eating it but they give you such large portions of this crap that I ended up throwing it away. Their won tons are decent but you can’t really mess up fried food! Save your money!

I’m bummed to be giving this place a bad review because the people here are so nice. My mom and I came here to eat because of so many recommendations. Food: I ordered lemon chicken and fried rice. Rice was super bland and the chicken was old, extremely dry and tough. Sauce on it was pretty good. My mom ordered sweet and sour pork, chow fun, and chow mein for her and my brother to share. Again meat was old, sauce was good. Chow mein was awful. We ended up getting sick later that night. Service started out great, but dwindled. We never got checked on and my mom had to ask someone else to get us the things we needed. I’m debating whether or not I want to try this place again but there’s a lot of Chinese restaurants that are better.
