Dominican Plaza Pharmacy

I’ve been slowly moving all my prescriptions to Dominican Plaza.
They totally rock. There is never an excuse, stuff always gets done exactly as you expect. What more could you ask for in contrast to every single time CVS gets it wrong and the staff treats you like dirt.
I wish they had some kind of online system, but the only benefit of CVS etc is the online system that doesn’t even come close to making up for how completely incompetent they are.

Each and every staff member is top notch. I need to stop telling all my friends about them as their business will get too busy. But I won’t stop spreading the news they deserve recognition.
They always take time to explain about meds if I need it, and IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. When a person is at their Dr. often times they are nervous and don’t ask about the meds.
Dominican gives info, that although it’s written in very fine print on the handouts from the manufacturer, the way they take that extra time is invaluable.

I’ve heard this is how all the pharmacy’s used to be! The pharmacist knows you by name, thinks through your medications and possible complications, and explains EVERYTHING until you understand how to properly take your meds. The staff at Plaza are a continuation of care after your doctor perscribes the medication. I can’t say enough about their professionalism, competency, and care.

I find the extent of this pharmacy’s service and helpfulness absolutely extraordinary. The entire staff is kind and competent, and I have never had such an outstanding relationship with a pharmacy. They are the best!
Steve, the pharmacist I deal with most frequently, is the most knowledgable person I have ever met on all aspects of meds — side effects, proper usage, drug interactions, etc — but is also one of the kindest people I know,

I transferred all of my prescriptions from several chain pharmacies to Dominican Plaza after getting frustrated with impersonal service. Several of my medications are not commonly available. The chains never had them in stock, no matter how many times I came to the same store for a refill. They would always have to order, and I would have to wait. Dominican Plaza, however, caught on quick. They recognized I would be using the same drugs every month and without my asking them to do so, told me they would always keep a stock on hand so I would not have to wait. I have to agree that the pharmacists are kind. I would also add knowledgeable and caring. Despite the M-​F business hours, a five star rating is entirely justified.

This pharmacy started out being reliable and the staff seemed kind. They were very helpful over the phone and seemed like they would have quick service.
However after telling me that they were contacting my insurance company and making me wait for 3 days, they changed their mind about filling my prescription which was written by my doctor who I consult with 2 – 3 times a week.
Why do they think they know more than my doctor? I have no idea.
In the interest of full disclosure it was for a narcotic type medication but the reason it was prescribed was for extreme agonizing pain.
I am currently lying in bed unable to move, go to work, or pretty much do anything.
A previous review said that the pharmacist, Steve, was very kind. I guess that he’s more knowledgeable than my doctor!

This is a top notch pharmacy. Steve, the pharmacist, is an extraordinarily kind person. The service is fast and reliable. There is a designated parking spot up front for the pharmacy. This establishment would be getting 5 stars except it is only open till 5:30pm and not on the weekends.
