I really like this store better than the one in Capitola. It’s a lot bigger with way more inventory. It has a nice peaceful room in the back and has lots more stuff on sale in boxes and racks throughout the store.

Om Rhythms in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz is one of my favorite shops! Owned by a local Nepalese family, and featuring Buddhist-inspired and other eclectic spiritual/artistic items, Om Rhythms is totally packed with a stunning collection of beautiful clothes, accessories, gifts, statues, and much more. Whether looking for rare and unique clothes, a variety of spiritual gifts, jewelry, etc, this one-of-a-kind shop is worth a visit. It’s ambiance is warm and inviting, peaceful and funky! :-)

Ines in Carmel is still our favorite to visit, see, and shop with. We havent been assisted here at all. Upon entering we made it near the register when we noticed life! The young female sat perched upon the case unit, behind the register, on her iphone. She hasnt been at all useful and sets an unbalanced energy throughout. Ines could teach her a thing or two.

THEWORST shopping experience I’ve ever had. First of all, the clothing is way overpriced. I’ve traveled to Nepal(where much of the clothes they sell is from) and I was appalled at how much they marked up the prices. That, however, was not the worst part of my experience. The man who I believe is the shop owner accused me of stealing. He had the audacity to raise his voice at a customer and make a huge scene. Unprofessional and extremely rude. I will never return.

extremely overpriced everything! most of it isn’t even that cute. the home décor in the back is great, love what they have to offer even though it’s overpriced. Every time I’ve been in there… they follow me around like I’m going to steal. Every time I walk by the store they creepily smile at me like they are undressing me with their eyes. Just a really weird vibe.

Great shop with a meditation garden in the back! I purchased some pants, a dress, a cute fingerless gloves. Nice experience, quality merchandise.

I wish I could have had a better experience with Om Rhythms, because they have some cool products, although they are pretty much the same as most of the world trade stores in the area! Unfortunately, my time in this store was genuinely the worst that I have ever been treated by employees of a store and I can say that I will never ever go back. My friend went in looking for some tapered gauges, which she found for a reasonable price. I was thinking about getting two balls of yarn but they were overpriced($ 10 each) so I decided not to get them at the last minute. The whole time we were shopping around, one of the male employees followed us around the store watching us. He acted so suspicious of me and my three friends that it made me incredibly uncomfortable! After we left and were talking about the weird vibes we got from him, he stopped my friend who was still in the store behind us and accused her of taking the yarn balls I had in my hand earlier! She obviously was very confused as she wasn’t the one thinking about buying the yarn in the first place. She came outside where we were waiting for her and told me that the employee wanted to ask me if I stole the yarn balls. I went back inside and showed him where I put the yarn(back in the pile of yarn where I found them) and he continued to rudely accuse me of stealing them in front of several other customers in the store! I offered to him and the woman who was also working that they could look through my bag if they were so convinced that I stole their products. Every time I told him that I didn’t have his yarn, he would tell me that he saw me with the yarn earlier. Of course he did, I was going to buy them but decided not to! This back and forth went on for a good minute or two until I left. He never looked through my bag and I’m not sure why, and I don’t think he was ever convinced that I didn’t steal his yarn ball… Overall, I personally will never go back in this store – especially because all of their products are so similar to the many world trade stores on Pacific.

They have a variety of ethnic clothing and décor that’s «Made in Nepal and a jumbo Buddha head fountain. The lighting was pretty dark, but bearable, it was the incense that was overbearing! I mean, I don’t mind a little aroma in the atmosphere, but it was like taking a hit of hookah! I got used to it or maybe just walked deeper into the abyss. All in all, it seems like a good fit for Santa Cruz… We’ll be visiting again!
