Great remodel job def better than it once was. Friendly owners. Some localist attitude bs as would be typical on this side of town. But I’ll put up with it for live music.

Because of the CRAPPY bartender, this place gets one star. Watered down drinks that are HORRIBLE. Even worse, it’s hot as hell. God forbid they keep the front door open for fresh air. Sorry to the band… find a better place to play!’

Great live blues band. There really should be more people here! It doesn’t seem like the neighborhood supports it like they could. This place has great music & inexpensive drinks.

It’s ok for a small dive bar, the clients seem pretty clickish, music was a nice treat and they have decent prices on their drinks, for an East Side dive bar, it is preferable to Over the Hill Gang or Castaways.

I’ve been to the Pocket once and plan to return for the music. It’s pretty good and seems to be getting better from the calendar lineup of musicians. Should be good! The food at the Chinese restaurant next door is awesome, and the drinks at the Pocket are good, reasonably priced.

This was the coolest, funkiest, not so divey dive bar ever. Great music and fun dancing. Super mellow crowd. Next door to a laundrymat — I would totally visit this bar again next time I am in town.

A corner bar in the Pleasure Point neighborhood; recently they have been hosting blues, folk and Americana bands. Compared to the other dives in the area(Castaways, Over the Hill Gang), they have a decent selection of beers on tap and spirits on the shelves. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is extremely relaxed. The ceiling has a home-made leopard print pattern and there are many portraits of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There is also a piñata Jesus Christ with red streamers coming from His Wounds. Weird.

Jerry just added Jam seesions on Thursday night. I went last night and it was terrific! Some of the finest local talent I have heard. The dance floor was rocking. The second pool table has been removed to make space for dancing and a table for drinks. There is a new raised band stand as well. Great additions! Go on Thursday and check it out. Starts at 7:30. If you are hungry the neighborhood chinese restaurant Guang Zho next door is tasty and reasonably priced. I loved the Sam Sam seafood soup and Chicken in black bean sauce i had before the Jam!

One of the best bars not in San Francisco, love this place and the guys that hang out there and the women that work there.

Definitely not the most convenient location for me, and you might have some doubts just from passing by, but come in! It’s beautiful inside! I love the décor, lovely artwork and awesome posters. It’s light and friendly. The bartenders are attentive and creative! The drinks are always good, I like to try new things when I come here. Not the huuuugest alcohol selection here, but there’s enough of a variety to inspire me to come back and try new things!

Dive bar look with respectable customers. Not a fight or drug deal in sight. Good dart boards and pool tables and decent priced jukebox. Amber is a sweetheart and fun to talk to! «She is hella cool!»
