Wow. Could it be any worse. This is a pure counter service place with no table service. To make it even worse, everything was served on cheap plates. Very odd for a high end street like Canyon Road. The service was slow and the food wasn’t tasty at all. There was no ambiance or charm at all. Even the live music was really bad. I doubt I’ll ever go back.

The only thing right was the water. We order chile rellenos… There was some mild hard to cut green chile in an egg… Umm nope! It was mediocre and not even warm. It took awhile to come out too. There were beans on the side and they were cold… And just okay. We order the chocolate chunk sandwich… It was rock hard room temperate RAISIN cookies with ice cream in the middle with chocolate sauce on it. False advertisement. This was the first time Unilocal has ever failed me. This was a waste of a meal in Santa Fe. I could have easily made each thing they brought out and better.

Great location, but wait staff completely confused, not only at our table but every table.

Awesome food. The best green chili, flavorful and distinct without being too hot. I had the chalupa. It was fresh and had that yeasty bread taste I love so much. A great find! I sat outside and listened to live music on the patio. Perfect!

All I got here was a Santa Fe Pale Ale and sat and people watched, but the staff, WASWONDERFUL! I cannot say how much I enjoyed them chatting with me, making sure everything was okay, just the whole nine yards. You guys rock… just keep doing what your doing!

If I were a computer, this is how I would review this place. Atmosphere: 10⁄10 Cleanliness: 10⁄10 Food quality: 10⁄10 Staff/Owners: 10⁄10 Location: 10⁄10. Now nothing in life is perfect, so as a human I can say this place rocks. It has everything anyone is looking for, excitement, location, food, nice atmosphere. Everyone will have their expectations and their«standards» for what is good but this purely an awesome family run Resturaunt. Everyone in the family is so unique and each of them are so excited to have you as friends and as a customer. I live near by and will be walking or biking here as much as I can until they get tired of me. As someone who works in the film and entertainment industry, this place would be a great location for filming. Thank you Julia and Cindy(chef)

This a great little restaurant on Canyon Rd. Funky interior with lots of local art. I had the smothered burrito, «Christmas» style. It was amazing. The red chile was outstanding! Clearly made from scratch. You order at the counter and the food is served at the table. Service was very prompt. We will definitely be back!

Over priced for average food. Had chicken quesadilla and turkey sandwich that I could have made much better at home and not cost $ 9 each. Restaurant been around for years, newly expanded and apparently getting a revamp on looks and some other things, prices apparently soon to rise if they didn’t already. Owner was at table in front loudly talking about new changes and arguing about design aspects, new food products being unloaded there in the front dining room too, just all stuff that should have been done in another room or after hours. Grand opening of new section of dining area was today(3÷15÷16). Nice folks but subpar food in my opinion.

Cute little breakfast/lunch place on Canyon road. We almost walked away as the entire left side of the building was closed up. Around the corner my husband found the open coffee shop side, thank goodness. Decent menu for breakfast and lunch. Hubby had the smothered Christmas breakfast burrito with ham– off the bone kind. Not listed on the menu they also have bagels and cream cheese as well as a bagel breakfast sandwich which I ordered. Both of us enjoyed our breakfast. My side of salsa was fresh and delicious. Good specialty coffee options. Soy milk available. They have inside seating in cozy rooms with lots of artwork. Building Used to be a home. Also good patio seating shaded by trees. Main reason for my post is the amazing accommodating staff. Super friendly offering menu suggestions, checking on us several times, very nice people!

Mocha was really smooth and had great flavor. The lady that served us was super friendly and checked to make sure everything was just right. Kind of wish we hadn’t just ate so we could try the green chili so many reviewers are raving about!

Just had the Frito Pie with green chili and it was awesome. My wife had the Green Chili Cheeseburger and she said it was great. Everything is so fresh. The patio is wonderful for people watching. The also serve Lavazza coffee so this is a good place for a coffee break after walking Canyon Road.

Big disappointment since, when I Googled«fresh lemonade Santa Fe» this was the first one to pop up. Drove several miles to get here. Nothing of the sort. But pretty little patio. Limonata Sanpellegrino had to suffice. Nice guy apologized.

During a recent visit to show off Canyon Rd., we made a quick stop at Café Greco. We mostly needed to sit down for a minute and maybe grab some espresso. I decided to try the frito pie because it is a Santa Fe staple after all. Plus, it’s not something I make at home. It was standard. Five and Dime on San Francisco St. has the frito pie market cornered. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were as cold or hot as they should be. Plenty of outside seating for nice days and a couple seating options inside as well. The inside banco area was cleverly decorated with kitschy southwest stuff. I think there was a horse? Then it happened. There was beautifully haunting flamenco guitar and mournful, soul wrenching singing wafting it’s way into the eclectically decorated room. It was such a Santa Fe moment. It may have been the most beautiful flamenco solo ever performed in my presence and I have seen Juan Sidi and his company twice. It really completed the day and made it feel special. Until…we were leaving. We gushed compliments at the woman playing guitar on the porch, browsed her CDs and thanked her profusely for sharing her talents. I know it sucks getting the«verbal tip», but we had been shopping all day and didn’t have any cash. She said very loudly and repeatedly that we should show our appreciation and pointed towards her tip bowl. Then she even got angry when we didn’t leave a tip. Bad attitude. For me, it left a bad taste in my mouth. That is more than enough for me not to go back. The entertainment hosted by the establishment is a reflection of itself. So, I won’t be going back. Canyon Rd. is full of quality places to stop for a nosh like El Farol and The Tea House.

Touring Canyon Road with a multigenerational crowd can be a challenge. So when a gallery owner mentioned this place as something for everyone we checked it out. A tall man with a turquoise bolo hurried us to a table while we looked at the order at the counter menu so we were kind of stuck. He guaranteed us a great meal or he’d pay for it. I should have taken him up on his offer. It’s probably a fine place for a cup of coffee and the sandwiches at the next table looked good but the New Mexican fare left much to be desired. They were out of red chile and salsa and potatoes. The burritos had nothing with them — just a $ 9 burrito! And the Frito pie — well we’ve had better. I should have told the guy when he asked«how was your food» but just wasn’t worth the confrontation. Live and learn. At least my daughter liked her chicken quesadilla and flat Italian soda.
