My family had heard a lot of great things about this restaurant, so we figured we had to give it a try. When we walked in the hostes was very friendly. The resteraunt was quit full so she seated us at the bar. We were not to crazy about that but there is not a lot of seating. It seemed as though the bar tender was not the least bit happy we had arrived, it took a while before he even acknowledged us. It was so bad that he was attending to people who had showed up after us. Not a good experience. He did however eventually become a little more attentive. Another thing that was off putting was that, I guess he was, the head chef(if that’s what you want to call a guy making pizzas) was yelling at all the staff throughout most of our visit. No one wants to listen to that while trying to enjoy a meal. So, all said and done, I’ve enjoyed visits to less«yuppie» resteraunts way more. Not that I don’t like yuppie.

Delicious… bad part is that I ate too much at lunch here and felt like I needed a nap afterward. SOOOO good though.

Seriously great food that stands out in a seriously foodie town. Yea, so they are located in a nondescript strip center next door to a plasma donation center. Who in their right mind would stop here? We do, every time we’re in town. We like the high end spots on dress up nights like Geronimo or The Compound just as much as the next person but… Sometime you just want to hang out, have great food and be happy, so it’s off to Dr. Field Goods Kitchen. I was looking through the reviews and noticed some negative posts but I guess the stars are always aligned just right for us as we’re always more happy then when we first arrived and it’s not just the beer on tap talking. The pizza is as good as we’ve had in Italy, the Bacon burger made out of bacon is out of this world and the New Mexican dishes are as good as or better than the other spots we’ve tried and I lived in Santa Fe for a number of years and know the touristy and non touristy spots. Eat here.

Nice small little place in Santa Fe and the food was great. Staff was polite and knowledgable of the menu and specials. I had the chicken enchiladas with over medium egg and it was delicious. This place is clean and not mention they inside and outside sitting. Great job!

Had a great dinner here last weekend with my best friend. I had the chicken enchiladas and he had the prime rib grilled sandwich. Atmosphere is relaxed & it is fun to see the open kitchen. Go! Eat!

Is it a Joke? The locals keep bragging about them. Let me tell you our experience for lunch. While my wife was waiting for her burger they put my pizza on the warm drawer for 10−15mn. I m pretty sure any napolitano pizzaiolo would have been mad ! We also have ordered a limonade for $ 4 each. Did not get a refill and had to buy another one. My wife got a cucumber/menthe water for $ 2.50. Result $ 10.50 and a$ 50 bill for lunch We will not come back again, would rather get the real deal somewhere downtown or simply go to Fire and Hops

Popped in here just for a beverage and snack. I got a lemonade which was tasty. Gingery! But the chips and roasted tomato salsa were just ok. The chips were way over salted and too thick, hard and on the verge of being burnt. While I was there someone in the kitchen managed to burn something. The smell was unpleasant. Service was originally helpful but then when I wanted the check the waitperson was walking around talking on her cell phone.

Best food in Santa Fe, at least the best I’ve had. The Christmas enchiladas are life changing.

Yep, foods good, service not so much. Don’t complain cause if falls on deaf ears(no matter how many times you eat there or how big your tips). Ever heard of «the soup nazi»? If not, look it up and stay away from Dr. Field Goods Kitchen, no one with such a crummy attitude deserves my patronage or yours!

So we stopped in to try this place everyone is talking about. We had the goat torta witch is local goat barbacoa, refried beans, fresh apple slices cabbage tossed in a greasy made here bun. It has a honey habanero HOT sauce. Not for the faint of heart so if you can’t handle hot DONOTTRYIT! Tasty but hotter then most can handle. I personally had El Plato loco duck with orange marmalade made fresh here. Sliced bosc pears and lots of greens maybe to much for me. But all to there own. Duck was great had a good fatty duck taste yummy. All on a Kaiser roll and home made papas. At 15.50 and 17.50 each I would say it a place you will love or hate. With 70s 80s rocking in the background it’s not a swank or modern. There is sufficient beer and wine selection to choose from. Staff? Well they were awesome and kept up with us with out skipping a beat.

Great food at a reasonable price in a convenient location; Dr. Field Goods is incubating the future of food in Santa Fe one exciting, deliciously prepared dish at a time. Try the bacon burger(a BURGER made out of BACON).

I want to confirm the review posted by Brad V and just some advice to the management — you told us before we left that you wanted to come to a resolution that was beneficial to all parties. Ummm… you need to go to customer service training 101. We went out of our way to make sure we paid you in cash because of your failures. On top of that you didn’t even conceive of an option that could have offered us something along the lines of a 20% discount on a future visit or maybe one meal for free or something like that. I won’t be back, there are plenty of better run places to eat in Santa Fe. Good luck!

Atmosphere– friendly staff, nice décor, great music, small space Price– a little more expensive than other places but that’s to be expected since all of the ingredients are local Food– The Bad Ass BLT was amazingly delicious!!! Green tomatoes, fresh lettuce, awesome bread, topped with an over easy egg, and most importantly a BACON patty! Seriously this was the best BLT I’ve ever experienced. We also got the fire roasted salsa, and chips were just as good. Overall Dr. Field Goods gets 5 stars from me because this is food you can’t get elsewhere. I love places that use locally grown ingredients and this place does it just right. I hope that the locals continue to give their business to this worthy establishment.

The food here is second to none! All local organic ingredients and they make all of their breads and meats here too. The menu has some of the recognizable comfort food you’d want and some new and unique things that you’ve got to try! Loved the goat Italian sausage pizza!

When I travel, it is an EXTREME rarity for me to hit up the same place twice. I mean, I’m traveling right? There are new dining adventures to check out. So, when I say that I actually dined at a place two nights in a row, it really means something. This joint rocked my boat big time. From the street, it looks like a non-descript strip mall dining place. But, man o man, can they put out the incredible food. Totally casual inside.(and rather tight). We sat up at the counter both nights since the place was packed(and it apparently is this way every night). Up at the counter you get to see the kitchen anyway, which I always enjoy. And, the other guests were super friendly. First night: Started with the arancini. Excellent and amazingly ‘green’ inside. Finished with the New Mexican — green chile rubbed & smoked pulled pork topped with sharp cheddar cheese, green chile and an apple jicama slaw served with field good potatoes. So much flavor. It’s a big sandwich. Second night: We skipped the appetizer and went right for the awesome«Christmas» enchiladas. One green chile chicken, and one red chile buffalo meat enchiladas. The chile seasonings were off the hook. And, again, this was a whole lot of food. We each ended up eating only half of our orders. But, hey, it gave us a great breakfast the next day.(so does that mean I ate at Dr. Field Goods three days in a row?). If I were to have any kind of criticism, it would only be the quantity of food(it’s a lot). And, the cold draft that comes in since this is such a small place. The food is awesome, and the staff and the patrons were all super ‘casual’ friendly. It will definitely remain on my hit list.

Ooohhhh Yea! Get yourself some of Dr. Field Goods. The food is done right. I would of gone the full 5 stars if we didn’t have to cram into this place. The service was top notch, all you had to do was make eye contact, and the staff would come over to see if everything was in order. Also, since we were scrunched in, they were sure to come by and take any plates that weren’t being utilized during the feast. I ordered the soup of the day, which they place on a piece of corn tortilla. Accompanied by bread, I passed the soup around the table because I couldn’t hog all this goodness. — I ordered the New Mexican Sandwich, and if you are in here, please get it. The taste and flavor that comes off each bite is memorable. A GREAT, great touch to the plate was the coleslaw, it had apple in it which made it sweet and a good twist to the«field good potatoes». I will be back! But maybe not returning with such a big group.
