Sooooo good. The fried vegetables, tikka masala and some of the best saag paneer I’ve tasted are so worth a trip. Very good, with very kind staff.

Yes! We started craving Indian two days into our week long road trip. We weren’t expecting much in terms of authenticity in Santa Fe, but thought it would tide us over until we got to Dallas. We were wrong. We got our fix and then some. We had the tandoori chicken, chicken vindaloo(get it extra spicy!) and prawn masala. We literally licked our curry plates clean. The rice… Wow, I can’t remember the last time I had rice cooked so perfectly. The dining area was clean, the service was awesome. I can’t wait to eat the leftover rice I brought back once I can breathe again. Nom nom nom.

East meets West at India Palace Restaurant. The locals know this is the place for quality authentic Indian Cuisine. There is a daily lunch buffet where you can sample the many exotic vegetarian, beef and poultry specialties resplendent with eastern Indian spices. Friendly staff made us a small dish of Chicken Tikka Marsala since our favorite dish was not on the buffet that day. Enjoy!

India palace serves very good & fresh food. We visited on 12⁄26 and had the buffet & food was really fresh. Dal Makhni had tandoori flavor which reminds of old Indian food cooking style. Zucchini Squash was also prepared very well. There buffet is served with fresh Garlic Naan or Regular Naan. I would really recommend this place.

Best Indian food in town. Better yet best Indian food I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place. I’m very picky about my chicken tikka masala. It was the best I’ve ever had!

Nice lunch buffet, not a huge number of options, but I consider that a good thing — make 8 – 10 entrees and make them well, don’t need to serve 40 different things. The veggie entrees were tasty, especially the unexpected potato and cabbage dish, and well spiced. The staff was perfectly nice to me, will definitely return. Recommend.

Went for dinner for the first time on Friday and had to go back for dinner on Saturday. Got seated and service right away both times. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Santa Fe by far(India House is second, but India Palace really is the best). The Samosas were fantastic, and I got the Navratam Korma Friday and the Baingan Bharta on Saturday. I would highly recommend trying them. I forget the names of my date’s dishes, but every one was incredibly delicious. The chai was wonderful(and I’m a chai snob) and the service as well. They bring complimentary Pappadam to your table, and sadly not every Indian restaurant in SF does this. I only wish I had had room for dessert. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Very affordable prices and no skimping on portions. Took home leftovers both times. Check them out!

I was in town for a meeting and we attempted to get some New Mexican food for dinner. Unfortunately, despite it being a Monday night, the few places we tried had long waits, and we ended up spotting this restaurant. I love Indian food. I’ve been to quite a few Indian places around the country, so I knew exactly what I wanted and since I live in Texas where getting good Indian is difficult, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosas. The food was delicious. However, when my samosas came, they offered no sauces to go with them. Rice was not included with the meal and cost an additional 4 dollars. The service was poor. I had spicy samosas(spicier than any I’ve ordered in the past) and the server failed to fill my water glass. I always had to ask her to fill it. And they asked if we wanted our dinner after I appeared to be done with the samosas, like they weren’t going to bring it until after appetizers unless specifically asked. And also, the one, most annoying thing, the server had long hair and was wearing it down. I’m sorry but if you work with food, TIEYOURHAIRUP!!! That is so gross!!! So all in all, good food(not the best I’ve ever had), mediocre to poor service, resulting in just three stars.

Fantastic! Ordered take-out this evening and was anticipating a rather average Indian meal. But, was greatly surprised at the amazing quality of this restaurant! My son had dined here previously and said he’d had a great meal, but I guess I just didn’t expect it here in Santa Fe(no offense, just not expected). The Navratton Korma and Chicken Tikka were fabulous— as well as the raita, jasmine rice with peas, garlic naan, Papadum crackers, and rice pudding. Mm, mm, good! :)

Went for the lunch buffet today after three days of cheese enchiladas as a vegetarian in santa fe(not something i would ever recommend). Sat inside/outside on a porch covered with tapestries that was very remniscent of bali or Malaysia. The buffet wasn’t huge, maybe 10 items in total, but all were fresh and carefully prepared and well balanced for seasoning level. I was able to fill two plates heaping with vegetable korma, aloo gobi, saag paneer, daal, and pakora and every dish was delicious. You have the choice of naan or garlic naan brought fresh to the table and the staff is charming and kind. So happy i just might reconsider visiting santa fe again!

After a hard day’s work moving, we called India Palace for delivery. They don’t offer it themselves, but directed us to DashingDelivery, who were able to take our order. On a Sunday night at 7:30pm, the delivery time was 60 minutes, which seemed a bit long, but they did arrive a few minutes before scheduled. The packaging was great, nice little plastic sealed containers, no cheap cardboard boxes. Most of the food was great, the lamb tikka masala was creamy and delicious, the naan and kulcha were chewy and warm. We loved the veggie samosas and prawns The tandoori chicken was rather hard and dry, so I can’t say I recommend that greatly, but overall, a good place for takeout, if on the more expensive side.

Had the buffet lunch and was forced to return for seconds, not because I was hungry but because the food was so tasty. Kind of fun eating Indian in the middle of the Southwest.

These were the rudest people we ever had to deal with, took forever to get the attention of a waiter, and then took another 25 min for the water, we were treated so badly it was a sad experience compounded with the mediocre food. Waiter basically threw the dish on the table, just plopped it down like a dead carcass. I think a manger or someone in charge(I believe they are all family from the old mean woman to the servers) saw what was happening and tried to soften the damage, but it was way too late. Avoid Avoid, the India House on Cerrillos is the best.

Like several other reviewers, I was saddened to see the original owners move away and turn this place over to new management. We tried the new incarnation a few times in the spring of 2014, and were always disappointed: bland, mediocre food, and spotty, rather clueless service. All in all a sad imitation of what had been my all-time favorite Indian restaurant anywhere. We finally wrote it off. We wouldn’t be back. Then, sometime around November of 2014, we decided, on a whim, to give them one last chance. And were blown away. The food was GREAT. Rich, complex spices, wonderful flavors and aromas. Every dish was fantastic. If anything, this was even better than the old place. Something good had definitely happened. The new owner explained the several staff changes they’d gone through over the preceding six months, including bringing on one of the original chefs from many years ago. This isn’t exactly the same as the old India Palace, but now that they’ve finally got their act together, the food is every bit as good, if not better. The service, while much improved from the early days of the new ownership, still doesn’t match the nearly ideal, very attentive but not intrusive service of the original restaurant, and lacks the gracious touches of the old days. The waiters no longer squeeze the lemon onto your tandoori chicken wings for you, for instance. Still, we’ve had nothing to complain about, and the new staff is very friendly. The main difference in the food is a new richness in the spices, and the fact that they now offer hot spicy versions of pretty much every entrée. In the old place, only the vindaloo was hot and spicy. Now, previously mild-by-default dishes like tikka masala and sagwalla have a bit of a kick to them, unless you specifically ask for mild. And if you like, you can get them eye-wateringly spicy. As for me, my tastes run to the spicy, but I find their«medium» to be plenty hot. I particularly like the new spicier versions of the curries. Fish curry, prepared«medium,» is my favorite. Wonderful meaty, flaky white fish(sea bass?) in a fantastic spicy sauce. Now we’re regulars again, and I’m happy to see their business finally picking up a bit.(It was seeming dangerously empty for a long time, even after they got the kinks ironed out.) If you were a fan of the original India Palace who wrote this place off after the change of management, do yourself a favor and give the new and(finally!) improved version a try.

I knew I shouldn’t have eaten the food on the buffet when it was warm, not hot, and when the server dumped fresh food on top of the old food instead of pulling and rotating I should have immediately left, but I didn’t want to insult the friends who invited me. So sick, so very sick. Surprised the health department hasn’t shut them down for these violations.

Lunch buffet for under $ 10 will get you a bunch of those irresistible, creamy Indian plates that will stuff your belly. There were about four different meat options, including meatballs, tandoori chicken and chicken curry. Everything was flavorful and rich. For those not into meat, their was some superb saj paneer and another vegetarian option, as well as salad. Add to this, naan tableside and you’ve got a great meal at a reasonable price in a city where eating costs a small fortune. Can’t be mad at that.
