Neat Finds, reasonably priced for Santa Fe. An unusual mix of stuff in a location you might overlook — but don’t!

Junk Monkeys(bad spelling) has been around for about 3 years and it’s different when you compare it to the usual consignment stores here in Santa Fe who totally overprice everything and market everything they sell to 50+ single women who can’t get dates anymore because they are irritating. The prior business at ½ of this location was a motorcycle shop that had been there for roughly 32 years… Which is kind of sad, in my opinion. Anyways the owner was awesome. He walked up to us when we walked in and after seeing that we weren’t all that impressed with much of what was going on(except for the Budweiser-Themed Piano), he opened up the second half of the shop for us(Not scheduled to open until thios summer), and that’s where the real finds were… I managed to procure a footstool with the image of Jesus(the white Anglo version) being crucified on the cross, and a two-piece molded bust of what pretty much equates to being a 1950’s example of how Native Americans are seen as by the white European public from that era… Interesting enough, this space also has the«Evil Emporium Tattoos kids doing there work at this location, and their displayed work is talented… They’re in the same half-mile space as at least 2 other tattoo parlors in the same area, and the foot traffic is bad, but really… The entire experience at this location is amazing…
