Yikes! The wife and I went to Piccolino’s in early February. Two words describe our experience: bland and disgusting. We tried three pasta dishes. My first, the ravioli, had tree bark-like crusts on some of the edges. Very apparently from freezer burn or from drying out overnight. Gross; it was sent back The second pasta dish I tried was better in texture, but tasted like wet cardboard. My wife had the meatballs; how is it possible to make tasteless meatballs. They win the prize. I told my wife that this was the poorest meal I have had in 10 years; and we have eaten some crappy food. I think that they can get away with this poor food, and fool people into thinking it is good, by being one of the only restaurant in Eldorado. Today, serving stale, unseasoned, disgusting food just does not fly anymore. Save your money and drive into Santa Fe.

Great specials on menu plus the regular Italian fare. We had the Osso Bucco, a pork shank with pasta, really good and we ended up taking home enough for lunch the following day. They will have liquor license 6⁄12 until then it’s ice tea or coffee. This Piccolino is located in the Eldorado area near the super market on Vista Grande
