TJ Maxx

I am a loyal TJ Maxx customer and come to this location often. This review was for my last experience here (¼/​2016). The cashier, Ms. Virginia was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had anywhere in my life. When I approached the counter, she wasn’t very friendly (that’s okay, some people have bad days– it happens). Didn’t say hi or asked how she could help me. I asked her if I could return one item (a cologne & aftershave set) and have a price check on a snack for friend who approached the counter with me. She rolled her eyes a bit when she couldn’t locate the price on the bag and had to go find a similar snack item to ring up the price. I asked her what the price was when she brought up a similar item, and she ignored me. The cashier next to her saw what happened and checked the computer for her and told me the price. She processed the transaction and I noticed she had returned my money for the cologne set I had returned, but also charged me for the snack I had requested a price check for. My friend pointed out the mistake, and said «oh miss, she was just asking the price for me, I wanted to buy the snack.» Ms. Virginia replied «Well, can’t you just owe her the money?» No Ms. Virginia, that’s not the point. I politely asked for another transaction to return the money to which she rolled her eyes, let out a big sigh, and quietly but boldly stated «…the fuck?» As a customer I am sorry that I *clearly* inconvenienced you but you have no right as an employee to curse at me for your incompetence. The cashier next to her (thank goodness for him) saw what was going on and decided to take over.

This rating is for the products. They are exceptional for a TJs. I don’t go there expecting superb service, expect to have to comb through for a diamond in the rough and no one asking if you are finding everything alright, but employees have always been friendly if I have a question. Again, many great treasures in jewelry, clothing, shoes, and home items at this location.

Typical TJMAX. Found a cute purse. Shoe selection was just ok. Service was ok. Store and dressing rooms clean.

The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I will never shop at this store again. The cashier «Sherry» I think her name was (older woman, glasses, tons of makeup) was so extremely rude and the manager was not at all helpful in the situation. I do not recommend shopping at this Tj Maxx ever.
