Amazing food! Amazing service! You have to come. The mussels are great, the beef skewers are tender, the potato chips are yummy. Music is great

Delicious! Came here for DineLA, but actually ended up ordering from their regular menu instead! We made a reservation, which is perfect, because this comfortably small restaurant was packed! This also led to a slight neglect in customer service, as we had to wave down the waiters to order our dessert, to get our check and for them to take our credit cards away, However, the tapas did make up for it. We ordered the filet skewer(a single skewer of meat), the shrimp + jamon on bread, the cod croquets, and the churros for dessert. Also, we both a glass of red sangria and a glass of white sangria. The skewer had delicious flavors, though not sure if it was worth the $ 15. The shrimp and jamon was a great app. The cod croquets were definitely my favorite, as they were just enough salt and crunch! The churros were a little mushy inside, whereas I like it to be a little drier. The sangria, he explained, had some tonic to make it lighter. While it was a delicious drink, I don’t think I would consider it a sangria. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the ambience. I will definitely come back to give it another try. Hopefully the service will be better the next time around!

Dinela lunch review: Came here with a group of friends for the $ 15 lunch dinela special, so we were able to try both appetizers and entrees. My favorite was the ceviche, but it did have a bit too much lime. If you order the mussels and the paella be prepared to drink a ton of water. Both the mussels and the paella were way too salty. The pulled pork sandwiches were a little sweet and dry. On the plus side, the staff was super friendly and attentive!

I really, really love this place. My husband and I love Spain and talk about going back constantly. Bar Pinxto honestly makes you feel like you’re there. The food is really great and going during happy hour makes it pretty affordable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and are happy to answer any questions you have. We went there tonight for a drink and some tapas and can’t wait to go back. They might see us again later this week.

I love this place! It’s so small and close knit! I love everyone who works there and the food is outstanding. Today we go the paella, the pulled pork sand which, calamari, cauliflower, muscles and ceviche! The muscles were outstanding but everything else was very salty so if u have a salt intolerance, I would record asking for no salt.

This place is really cute and cozy at a great location near the 3rd street promenade. Really great place to go for tapas and drinks. As a whole everything we tried on the menu was pretty solid. The paellas were also delicious and quite large so it s a good filler but personally I would’ve ordered a lot of tapas instead. One is probably good for 4 – 6 people to share. We tried both the lobster special paella(a whole lobster in shell diced up in it which i didn’t expect) and the chicken/chorizo paella. I was really excited to try the gambitas al aijillo they were tender and well seasoned but didn’t match my expectations. I really enjoyed the grilled calamari, chorizo, and sardines The others really enjoyed the croquetas(i liked the chicken more than the fish). We all agreed that the pork belly was not anything special, but the seasoned carrots below were quite delicious! If you are looking for tapas, this place is a must try! It is definitely worth the trip.

The service was excellent and so was the food. The waitress was wonderful. The lunch special was a great deal at $ 15. We had the gazpacho, pumpkin and paella de pollo. I’m not sure what my husband ordered. The sangria(both white and red) was amazing, but we preferred the red.

After our original happy hour plans fell through, my sister and I decided to grab a bite to eat here. The interior is adorable and we talked about how it would be a good date spot. My sister and I decided to order the 6 for $ 6 deal, the gambitas al ajillo(shrimp), albondigas con mojo verde(lamb meatballs), and mussels. I know that this is a tapas place but the portions were just too small, even at happy hour prices. In addition, none of the food stood out. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good either. We left unsatisfied and hungry so I probably won’t be back.

The most amazing tasty tapas and Pintxos for sure, cooked to perfection to order. The location and ambiance dine right in front the restaurant in the open air. the wines and sangria to top it off right. live action kitchen right there like it’s in your own home with your own personal chefs. You just have to drop in !! Great owners great staff, amazing !!

I came here for lunch and was delighted to see that they had a $ 15, three-course lunch special. That’s totally in my budget!!! There are limited choices on their special, about 2 to 3 options per course. Still, not bad. There were some vegetarian options for each course, too, if that is your thing. I ordered a glass of their white sangria(it’s pretty boozy) and enjoyed the view of the ocean from our outdoor table. Day drinking and an ocean view? This is my kind of lunch spot. Not all of the food was amazing, but it was good and I would come back for their wine list, cheese and some tapas.

Guess it’s hard to open a basque inspired restaurant in LA. 3 and a half stars on Unilocal was a huge surprise. I grew up in the basque region of Spain and this isn’t the same as the spread seen at a San Senastián bar… sure. That said, LA doesn’t offer enough business to a place like this to justify a spread of tapas like that. This IS a taste of home with their own twist. Will happily come back often.

Paella was bad :/rice over-seasoned and mushy. Very little crust. Seafood was over-cooked with NO seasoning WHATSOEVER. Presentation was good though. Assorted meats plate was cut very thick resulting in a jerky like texture. We feel bad saying this because staff was very welcoming and took great care of us. Tiny tiny venue. Tiny lil tables. Very hot and stuffy inside. We would have been fine with the venue had the food been good. Overall very disappointing.

Came across Bar Pintxo while walking around in Santa Monica. I’m a huge fan of sangria and tapas, so I was excited to try it out the second I saw it! The décor was very cute and it made me want to go to Spain! I was slightly turned off by the fact that the staff was not Spanish, but they were vey friendly and attentive. The food was not as authentic as I had hoped, but it was still yummy. For tapas, we ordered the patatas bravas and mussels. Both were good, though the potatoes tasted too much like buffalo wings. The fish and seafood paella was good, especially considering that they made it in 20 minutes. But there is a reason why paella usually take at least one hour to make. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and I would be happy to go back if someone suggested going to Pintxo. But I do have to say that I missed the more rustic flavors of Spanish cuisine.

When you walk in the aroma of fresh sweet ingredients dance in the air. You feel like you are in Spain. I could share with you the many wonderful dishes though I’ll focus on one: Paella, Pescados y Mariscos. A beautiful large cast iron skillet filled with paella, shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels and cod. Perfectly seasoned and more than enough for two. Sit back and graze through the menu. If you’ve never dined in Spain don’t worry its right here in Santa Monica!

My coworker was really excited to see the 3 course $ 15 lunch specials here after showing up on a Eater LA article so we came to check it out. Came here around 12:10 on a Tuesday and we were the only table so we got one of the great tables outside. The server was nice and answered the few questions that we had. Overall the food here isn’t bad. I think for the price and size the portions should be bigger instead of just 2 of everything. First course: mussells — preferred this dish more chorizo dish — too oily and the chorizo was salty to me. Coworker liked this more Second Course: shrimp — definitely get this one. Its a simple preparation but can’t go wrong with garlic and lemon Chicken Croquet– crispy on the outside with a good filling Third Course: This was our least favorite. The fill filet mignon skewer: nothing special ham and cheese sandwich — this was much bigger and a must if you want to be full from eating here. The ham is thinly shaved and reminded me of a tougher prosciutto.

This place was great. It’s a small place in Santa Monica that serves tapas. My girlfriend who had a layover took me here. And I’m glad she did! She’s from ATL but she used to live in LA and she loved this place, so here we are. FOOD: *Olives — this is what they are known for really… I don’t like olives but this place has delicious olives! * egg tortilla something, it looks like a pie thing with egg on top and potatoes… it was amazing. Look at my photos! It’s the pie looking one. GETIT. It was delicious. It actually makes a great breakfast or brunch item. * brussel sprouts — thus was alright. Just a reg brussel sprouts dish * Shrimp, calamari paella — this was delicious. The rice was really black and it stains your teeth and lips, but worth it! The shrimp was well cooked and you get a good amount of seafood. My husband said there was too much rice(I took the leftovers home), but it was a good amount. * Churros with chocolate — it’s okay, it’d be better with ice cream. * white sangria — delicious! good amount for $ 6 SERVICE: Good. The initial girl helped us and was really helpful, but then they switched to another nice girl but it was confusing on who our waitress was. They didn’t tell us about the switch. But overall it was great! They packed my friend’s olives for her in a huge container, so that’s awesome for the plane ride! AMBIANCE: Very nice. Can be romantic! Great for couples and girlfriends catching up! PARKING: Santa Monica Place — walking distance or street but good luck with that!

Bit disappointing. Sign hung outside said the chef/owner has a Michelin star at another restaurant he owns so that caught us. Since we weren’t really hungry and hadn’t been planning on stopping anywhere, my BF and I split a 6 for $ 6 happy hour plate and each ordered a drink. The 6 for $ 6 was an OK price to try out 6 bites here. Good thing it was only $ 6 though because we only like one item our of the 6. Drinks the bf had a beer imported from Spain which I really liked. I got the red sangria which was alright. Inside was cramped. Sat at the bar where there were straw stools — not very comfy :[ The happy hour menu was in English, but the main menu was in Spanish… so that doesn’t help Not a place I would come back to again.

I absolutely love this place! The happy hour menu is huge and they have such a great wine selection. We ordered a house bottle of red and it was fabulous. Our waiter knew everything about the items on the menu, the wines, helped us make some fantastic cheese selections and was great with refilling our wine and waters. We ordered quite a bit and loved all of it! The pork belly and lamb balls(order it!!) were my favorite, next to the squid ink paella and the Jamon plates. The Jamon Serrano was divine with the Manchego cheese. They put an amazing quince jam/marmalade/purée as an accompaniment to the cheeses and I couldn’t get enough! Delicious! I loved that we got to select our cheeses and meats for the plates: 3 cheeses and 2 meats. All delicious. Super cute date spot with a nice patio area. The dishes come out with 2/¾ pieces of your order so they are perfect to share between 2 people. They have heat lamps but it was such a lovely night they were all off. Spring and summer weather is perfect for the patio. I’m not so much a fan of the tourists in the 3rd street area, but even on a weekend it was actually nice watching people walk around. We didn’t have to deal with parking since we Über’d it. But there are lots all over the area.
