Very disappointed in the service. It has taken way too long to get our food and there are only 2 tables waiting in the restaurant. Not a good place if your hungry and want food within good time

Wonderful place on Montana. The food is so good. I like the turkey chili, the sweet potato fries and the burgers but they have this special omelet that is so good I crave it every day. It’s a little noisy though but the staff is so nice. It’s small and cozy, you can sit outside if you like.

Chicken sliders and truffle fries are the best. Gets crowded but good service. A lot of the menu options aren’t the best, but ingredients are fresh and fish tacos and previously mentioned options are the way to go.

Our server, Stephanie is always kind and courteous. She’s warm and friendly and my experience is enjoyable. The place is well kept and quaint. Not loud at all. Family friendly and airy. Love love love the breakfast omelette. The chef(unknown) is always on his game. Highly recommend Blue Plate.

The table wait system seems good at first, but when they seat someone who shows up 15 minutes late to their phone call before you who shows up instantly, that puts you off at the start. Then was seated at a four top which seemed nice right by the window until one minute later they pulled the tables apart by 5 inches and sat another couple next to us — too much in our personal space and they had to reach over their table to serve us. Was bashed in the head twice by the guy behind me just because he leaned back in his chair(a normal action when seated), but only because there wasn’t enough space between the tables. The waitress was very pleasant and trying to please. The service was quick once we were seated, but the food selection was meh — and the scramble we got had fresh ingredients, but MIGHT have had 1 ½ eggs in it — it ended up a veggie scramble instead of an egg scramble — where were the eggs? Dish only comes with one side So you have to choose between hash browns and toast — they don’t even throw in the toast!!! Sorry to say — we won’t come back — too crowded — food not good enough for the price — too loud — and I don’t mind boisterous — but if it is, it has to have atmosphere — no particular atmosphere other than too crowded! Sorry Blue Plate — not a win. p. s. The Blue Plate stencil sign on the window is crooked.

Went there with friends. Ordered as a side, roasted Brussels sprouts… a supposedly hot dish. When they came out, not only were they not hot, they were undercooked… Crunchy, even. I politely asked the server to please take them back and at least microwave them for me. She took them to the kitchen and after waiting a LONG time(most of my friends were finished) she returned and told me that no, that’s the way the chef INTENDEDTHEM and he wasn’t about to cook them to my(obviously irrevelevant) liking! To which, of course, I politely but firmly replied that I wouldn’t be paying for poorly cooked food that I could not eat. What arrogance on the part of the chef! If I’m going to eat overpriced food, it’s going to someplace where the restaurant doesn’t look down on the customer.

Friendly customer service for a beach front restaurant. Our server was attentive and made excellent menu recommendations. I highly recommend ordering their specials. I will definitely return next time I’m in town.

WOW, best oysters in LA! love this place. I have been to many seafood restaurant and this one is a gem! Don’t forget the fish and chips, the fish is clean and light and with a crisp batter. The only thing I would like to change is the size of the restaurant, it’s a bit small. Wait was 35min but well worth it.

Just had an outstanding Kitchen Sink Bowl. If you want a low carb but delicious meal, look no further than Blue Plate for this. Simple ambience and café style on the hip Montana Blvd gives this place a great breakfast and lunch scene.

This place is a cute little boutique feel restaurant. Lines can take a while. They only have two outdoor tables. Mac and cheese pancakes are so unique. Taste is great. I also love the greek salad, salmon salad, the tacos and the chicken sandwich.

We walked in late last night and Madison was so nice serving The kids burgers. It was truly gourmet and my blueberry pancakes were out of this world Madison had a great smile even though being late at night almost closing time she made us feel like they just opened up the restaurant. We live in Glendale and it made our trip a happy one. Thanks and see you soon. Nuno’s BK potatoes were so good. YUMMY FOOd.

Situated on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, parking can be tough. There is a lot behind the restaurant, but is shared with many of the surrounding businesses. The restaurant itself is very very small. I would not recommend coming with a large group, or with those that want private and personal space during a meal. I had to get up twice during my meal, to allow the table next to us to be seated and leave. The tables are literally two inches apart from each out, and you’ll find the waiter reaching over you to speak to the other patrons or deliver food. Aside from the coziness of the restaurant, everything else is great! The fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing, I just wish the cups were bigger! I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with breakfast potatoes on the side and loved it! I asked for a side of pico di gallo, and although they charged an extra $ 0.50 for it, it was well worth it. The strawberry banana pancakes were delicious as well, with strawberries on top and bananas inside the actual pancakes. The prices and portions are reasonable and I wouldn’t mind coming back!

Entry is super small and the staff is welcoming. The tables and chairs are super crammed. I wanted to try this place because I work two stores down and I am new to the area. I don’t care for the food too much. It’s bland and super pricey. I suppose the prices are reflected to the neighborhood. Definitely won’t be coming back unless I’m running late for work like I was today. Even then I should order a head the waiting for my to go food was about 25 minutes. I ordered a breakfast quesadilla with home fries. The food needs flavor«please season well.» I’m no Chef by all means!!!

I came here with a friend per his recommendation. We came on a rainy sunday and people were waiting outside in the windy, cold, and rain… that shows dedication! I got their salmon protein bowl, and it did not disappoint. the salmon was fresh flavorful and delicious! The veggies were fresh, and the dressing was flavorful. My only complaint was that there were fruit flies everywhere. It became a game for us to try and kill them… but got a little rediculous. I’m not sure if it was due to the rain or if that was how it usually was.

First off, don’t go in here and try to be healthy like I did. Their pancakes and breakfast sandwiches look way too good! Way too good. I had the two egg breakfast, and it was well prepared, just not a lot of food for the money. My daughter had an egg white Frittata which was much tastier and filling… Okay, so I guess you can be healthy and have a tasty meal. I do appreciate that if you get coffee or tea, they will send you out with a To Go refill… fantastic touch. The volume can get a bit much… and you are on top of other tables as the place is very small… but the service is good and attentive. I think my only issue is that the prices are a bit high for what you get… but then again they need to pay Montana Ave. rent…

Overpriced and boring. Nothing on the menu is great, just good. If you want to spend $ 10 on a crappy grilled cheese sandwich, this is your place. Every time I’ve ordered takeout my food is cold. Definitely not the end of the world though. Their Oysterette on Ocean Ave is great though! If you’re going to overpay for your meal you might as well do it with some amazing seafood!

Healthy food delivered flavorfully. I’m a fan! The place was packed on that Sunday evening, but we really lucked out and got one of the last couple of tables. Rockstar sangria, by the way. I’m curious to go back for brunch. Friendly service, and pretty fast delivery.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now and kind of disappointed in the overall experience. We sat down and ordered coffee and was told they don’t have almond milk, which is fine but a bummer none the less. We ordered our food– which included build your own omelette and saw there were sweet potatoes in one other dish and asked if I could just get it on the side. Waitress was extremely sweet and said«sure, that wouldn’t be a problem» and my husband ordered their waygu hotdog. About 10 mins later, the manger tells me they are way too backed up in the kitchen and they won’t do the sweet potatoes on the side because that’s just impossible to take it from one of the other dishes and or it on a plate. When I asked for their heirloom tomato sauce on the side, she said«it will take an extra ten mins because we are backed up and you should order the dish the sauce comes with.» I just let it go and said I will take whatever potatoes come with the dish because by now it’s been 15 mins. We ended up getting our meal almost 45 mins after we ordered which is insane. No matter how busy you are, if your kitchen can’t accommodate the number of orders coming in, then hire better chefs or cooks or whatever it is instead of making people wait 45 mins for subpar food. Waygu hotdog tasted like regular hotdog and don’t recommend. My egg white omelette was nothing special and the home fries that came on the side looked great but were drenched in so much oil that, that’s all you can taste. Maybe try this place for lunch or dinner time or an off time when they can’t come up with excuses and then judge the food?

The most disappointing breakfast. This has been our go-to brunch spot for a while but I am so over it now. We waited ten minutes to be seated, packed in like sardines, and another 40minutes for our food. The food is ok. Just basic and way overpriced. And now the breakfast only comes with one side? I’ll be looking for a new breakfast spot. But in all fairness I do have to say that their fish tacos and salmon salad are really delicious.
