The tzatziki sauce was amazing. I’m assuming the price is due to the great location, but I must admit I’ve had better chicken kabob elsewhere for far less money. I’d still recommend this place if you’re in the area though. Far more delicious than most of the other places nearby.

My family has been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Great food,(tasty and healthy), good atmosphere, and friendly service. I love their hummus it is by far my favorite of any hummus and I’ve tried hummus all over the world but nothing compares to theirs. My husband hates hummus but will eat the hummus from Stop n Café with a spoon. Also love their chicken kabob, Greek fries, Greek burger, and horiatiki salad. For breakfast their Greek omelet is delicious and so are their hash browns. You can’t go wrong with this place.

I never had a thought to give this place a try after many visits to the 3rd Street Promenade. But Greek food sounded so healthy after my first visit to Santa Monica on the new Metro, and happening upon the wonderful Wednesday Farmer’s Market here. Treating my friend to lunch, we had the same mindset to opt for this type of cuisine. He ordered the Chicken Gyro with crispy french fries, and I ordered their take on Spicy Greek Fajitas with chicken too. I loved the flavor of the strips of succulent chicken smothered in peppers and onions, and it was definitely spicy as promised. The bonus was that it came with some of the best tzatziki sauce that I have had on the west coast(I briefly lived in Astoria, NY, famous for its Greek restaurants). The California twist was the added avocado which blended perfectly with the dish. The service was great and this place seems like the perfect excuse to venture on the Metro again to this gem of a find.

Love the gyros but I’m pretty sure all these Greek places by that stuff already made and just heat it up. The staff are always very pleasant and I tend to pick up food to go when I’m leaving the promenade after shopping but I have also eaten inside plenty of times. They are quick but not inexpensive for what it is — probably because of the location.

I came to this Greek cuisine because I was looking for a good burger and french fries around the third street promenade area. My normal burger places like Stout and misfits was heavily packed so I had to choose something else quickly before my hunger would get the best of me. As I approached this eatery I was greeted courteously by the waitress. She asked if I would be having my food to go or sitting down and when I finally sitting down she show me my different options of where I could sit between inside or outside. I chose inside because I didn’t want to have too much ambient noise from external conversations and it seems most of the customers for that they were sitting outside, so I opted for indoor seating. I ordered a turkey burger with grilled onions instead of raw, and lucky for me french fries come with every burger order– perfect! I was waiting on my burger the owner/manager stopped by my table to check and see how we were doing. I really appreciate and enjoy when owners are intimately involved in their business so this gets an extra star simply for that When my burger arrived it was a hearty portion of meat and Size. I mean seriously the burger was a pretty good size. I bit into it and was impressed by the quality of taste. It wasn’t a gourmet burger or the best thing I’ve ever had but it was pretty darn good. Along with the fries I can only finished half of the burger so I got the other half to go. Payment was easy and I was greeted and faint as I left — this was an excellent experience and I definitely will be coming back.

I rarely leave negative reviews but when I feel mislead regarding pricing and served mediocre food(at best), I like to publicize so that others can learn from my mistake.

Terrible. Don’t expect authentic Greek food. Ordered the falafel which was dry and over spiced. There was a sauce on the plate that was supposed to be tahini but it was more like a watery concoction of some sort. Also ordered calamari which was clearly frozen and served with KETCHUP not the usual marinara sauce. The only edible dish was the saganaki which was not enough to save this tiny cramped and uncomfortable place. Never again.

My office is on Third St Prom and we frequently order gyros from here. The meat is tender and fries are always crunchy. Love this place!

I usually only write good reviews but the gap between the diner rating and our dining experience was night and day. We found the food bland, overpriced and indifferently prepared. We ordered a couple of Greek staples, falafel and gyro. Service was great but that doesn’t make for good eats. You ask me there is a lot of better choices in the area.

Not very happy with the charges they don’t tell you about. Brought my own wine and bottle opener. They insisted on opening it for me. They grabbed the bottle then grabbed my bottle opener. The waitress broke my bottle opener. No big deal, wasn’t crazy expensive. I get the bill and they charge me 10 dollars for a corking fee. No mention there was a charge and especially after breaking my bottle opener. All they kept saying was so sorry so sorry. I’m not going to sit there and make a huge deal over 10 dollars but they should let customers know they charge for that. These people people are crooks. It’s a shame, the food wasn’t bad but I don’t appreciate being nickle and dimed. It’s cheaper to go to a place that served alcohols and just buy drinks there. Such a let down.

LOVE this place! Whenever I’m on third street I have to stop by. It’s my favorite place to eat in that area. I always get the tabouli, the greek fries, and the calamari. They may be appetizers but they are definitely packed with so much flavor that it fills you up.

Best Greek I have had in a long time! The gyros were flavorful and the Greek salad came with a great unusual Greek dressing. Hummus and the baba ganoush were awesome! Will definitely come back!

I seriously love this place. I’ve been here a few times while showing my friends around Santa Monica. Spend some time at the beach and then make our way over here. I’ve had the chicken kabob plate, beef kabob plate, the lamb shank, and fries. There’s more than enough food in each of the plates. Rice, salad, pita bread, sauce, and the meat. Chicken was tender, was ordered medium-rare, the lamb came on a bone/lamb shank. All 3 were delicious; but the beef would be my top choice. The service is good. I’m guessing the place is family owned and members of the family work there. I had an iced tea with my meals. A decent wait from the time you order to the time the food arrives. I’m pretty sure that if this place was closer then I would be here once a week. Thankfully I don’t. Highly recommended!

Definitely go for the combo plate, so you can choose three items and customize your meal. The falafel was good, but not any better than typical falafel from other Mediterranean places. The tabbouli was very good, perfectly zippy. And the spanakopita was wonderfully crisp but still rich. Yum! Prices were totally reasonable, and it doesn’t ever look crowded. Good place to stop and get a quiet meal away from the crowds of 3rd Street.

The food was ok not superb here but I had two issues with what I ordered: #1 — very expensive for a simple kabob platter($ 19)!!! #2 — if you are going to charge so much for a simple platter it better well come with some tsatsiki sauce. Telling me I have to pay extra for that is just being greedy when the plate is already $ 19. The meal was extremely dry without it and a bit tasteless.
