I’m not mad at the size of the slices of pizzas they sell. It is reasonably priced and you can get pretty creative with how you want your pizza. I did have one situation with them when I ordered a batch of pizzas for a company meeting where the pizza delivery guy did not delivery the pizzas on time due to some miscommunication, but they ended up putting the tab on the house. Super friendly, and customer service comes fist for sure with them!

Pizza is good, not the best of my life but definitely better than any chain you will go to. Calzones are massive and pretty tasty. You get what you pay for.

Had delivery. Did not enjoy the pizza. Crust was bland and stale like. I didn’t enjoy the toppings and it arrived lukewarm.

With the abundant ambiance of a loading dock; and a blaring, advertisement driven radio station, with screeching stool legs that contribute to hair loss; I [insert enthusiastic emoticon here] this place! Seriously: it’s a YUM fest! A whole grain crust would be lovely as well as not running out of the STUBBORN. Just sayin’!

Servers are very knowledgeable about their products. It felt like I was truly cared and valued. The great service they have rendered is probably the reason why This GBP house stands out from other pizza houses. Good place, great people, great service.

The huge cheese slice really hit the spot. With nothing to hide behind, the quality ingredients really shine through. The sesame seeded crust was a nice touch. The varied menu begs to be explored, but honestly you could do much worse than the slice selections.

My cousin brought my siblings and I here for the first time and I loved it! It was kind of hot inside but while eating the pizza, it didn’t bother me anymore. We got the large pizza salad and omg it was amazing. Make sure to get all of their sauces to make it extra flavorful! Their fountain drinks are different from the Coke machines but that’s what I love about this place. All their fountain drinks are bomb! On another note, they have good service! :)

Go here every week on my lunch break. The pizza is home made style, and amazing. They have different types of pizza toppings you can’t get any where else. And the chicken… WOW. Perfectly shredded and melts in your mouth. I always get the jalapeño with chicken pizza. A little pricey, but worh. Only reason its not 5 stars is cause last time I ordered a salad and a fly bug thing was in it. I guess ill stick to the pizza…

I am the father of a family of 5 and live nearby this Grey Block location. Whenever I;m not in the mood to cook, I order two larges: a «Buster» and a «Cheese». My kids are picky eaters and they love this pizza. My wife and I always fight over the last slice LOL. I’d recommend that you try this place after 5pm, since it’s right across from the college, it can be packed for lunch and early dinner. I give it 5 stars because my whole family likes it. They also have this«secret sauce» thats pretty good too. I’m getting hungry typing this. OK bye.

Pizzas are sold by slice or you can purchase entire pie. Both options are reasonably priced. Pizza is OK and filling, service is friendly, location is convenient. SMC students receive 10% discount. Only issue I have is restaurant’s overall cleanliness. Tables are usually unclean… but I think that’s because of high volume of SMC students that frequent here. A suggestion? Maybe have an employee wipe unseated tables down every 20 – 30 mins. +1 for their orange dipping sauce. Really unique flavor.

I come here mostly for the convenience. They have a few parking spots and they sell pizza by the slice. The pizza itself is hit-or-miss. It’s very similar to Abbot’s Pizza in Venice with the«bagel» crust. Some of the pizza combinations are pretty damn good, but lately they’ve been below average. The problem with the place is usually the service. Half the time there’s someone new working the register that doesn’t know how it works. Often they forget to get the pizza out of the oven in time and it gets way over-cooked. Sometimes they forget other parts of your order like your drink.

I’ve had pizza here a few times and although it isn’t the best, it definitely satisfies your pizza craving/hunger. The crust is usually kind of burned which is why I knocked off a star.

The specialty pizzas are the reason I come back again and again. The avocado salad pizza is filling, so tasty and my personal fav. Loaded with veggies! I also like the three cheese pizza: simple, super cheesy and great to dip in their special sauce. I always get«the works» crust on my pies. The dough is fresh and you can taste the quality of it once it’s baked pretty perfectly. The pizzas take quite some time to be completed, so I always order well in advance before doing a pick-up. The staff I order from over the phone are super friendly and placing an order is easy once you’re in their system. Great food and reasonable pricing! Different than any other pizza establishment.

If you’re looking for variety in your pizza, Grey Block is the key. So many exquisite styles of pizza to choose from that it was very difficult picking one! They even have a salad pizza!!! The sundried tomato pizza was as tasty as it was beautiful. Just a colorful plump piece of pizza. And wasn’t expensive about $ 3 and some change probably closer to $ 4 but well worth it because of the slice size. What truly gives this place 5 stars though is the service. The cashier was super patient, friendly and helpful. Which such an extensive selection it’s important to have someone not breathing down your back about ordering. Kudos Grey Block

My boyfriend and I just moved into the area and were looking for a good pizza place. We got lucky finding Grey Block Pizza. The woman who took our order was very nice and did not mind that I had quite a few questions. The pizza came very hot and around the time they said it would take(45 minutes) They also have gluten free options which is awesome for people with Celiac/gluten sensitive. Also, the BEST brownies I have had in LA. We will definitely be ordering again.

Gus and Josh holding the place down!!! My buddy and I ordered from my apartment and when we got there… the vibe was so on point we decided to stay! Spurs were wrecking the Suns on TV, old school Jay-Z playing through the speakers and this FIRE pizza looking at me like, «Dude, you prolly oughta sit that you know what down and enjoy pronto.» That’s the story of the best pizza I’ve had in Santa Monica. Know that you can start with their signature pizzas and add an extra topping or switch a sauce per your request. FIRE.

First of all the cashiers I’ve encountered here have horrible customer service manners and usually I let that slide when I do encounter bad service. If you have a customer, you don’t simply ignore him/her. Also, one cashier charged me for a large cheese pizza when I ordered a small cheese pizza, but I corrected him. Many students come here to grab a bite, but the pizza slices are overpriced for what they are.

I love the pizza style they create here, thin crust with fresh ingredients. It really is a neighborhood joint, the parking can be easily missed as the entrance is just one car width. With plenty of seating you can enjoy your pizza in roomy comfort. Also when just dining for yourself, you can order individual slices way better than ordering Pizza Hut where you have to get a «mini» pizza covered in grease. Love the self-serve condiments and shakers of cheese and red-pepper flakes, who wants to deal with packets of the stuff when you need a liberal coating.

This review is for delivery service, I haven’t been into the restaurant. I am not a huge pizza eater anymore, but this place is great. There are a lot of options, including a vegan pizza(heaven)! They were quick with the delivery and the pizza was delicious. I am all about supporting small local businesses and will definitely order from them again!

Twice I have bought Grey Block Pizza now, and both times they have done a great job. Once in store and the other home delivery. Please don’t take the 4 star to be a reflection on the store, as I think I’m still trying to get my order right. They can make you a gluten-free, vegan, winter solstice, chakra-healing, pixie-dust sprinkled pizza, from what I can see. The menu of ingredients, combinations and sauces is extensive! Such a terrific range of choices, and I can’t see how anyone could be excluded, unless of course you just don’t like dough. ‘Cos that’s pretty much the only thing you need to have on their pizza — or perhaps they can throw some veggies, cheese and meat on a plate with cheese, but I digress… Back to my order. There are many options for a vegan pizza at Grey Block and I’m only beginning to scratch the surface of the possible permutations of ingredient combos. I’m just adding everything I love at the moment, which adds up to an expensive pizza, but that’s MY problem not theirs. I fully expect to return to this review and make it 5 stars when I get the balance of ingredients and budget correct. Until then I’d recommend it. Especially combined with ordering from them and having them deliver to Barkowski(see my other review) a short walk up the street. Friendly staff, moderate wait time, priced appropriately unless you’re used to factory-produced plastic pizza at those chains who shall not be named… The fact that it’s around the corner from where I live is a handy bonus. I also aim to just have the vegan cheese pizza at some time, so perhaps that’s next with the 5 star review.

I’ve ordered from Grey Block a few times for some really big orders(15 – 20) large pizzas for work and the pizza has always been a hit and the service great. I’m partial to their mushroom personally, but all the pies I’ve had are fairly solid. I say this as someone who has been ruined for pizza in Chicago with both deep dish and super thin crust, but I digress. Years ago, Whole Foods used to make these crazy big and long breakfast pizzas that I would get for our work breakfasts on Fridays. Sadly, they have stopped doing this and even though I begged them(literally), they refused. Enter Grey Block! I casually asked them one day if they would make a bunch of breakfast pizzas for me even though they don’t open until hours after I needed them. Gustavo didn’t hesitate and made things happen for me and he was awesome! He and another guy came in super early and cranked out 12 xl pizzas for me. This made a lot of people very happy in my office. I can safely say this will be in regular rotation of breakfast offerings. They made a chorizo, bacon and egg that people were fighting over. It was delicious!

LOVELOVELOVE this pizza. Personally, I think this spot always cuts a fair amount of corners in comparison to their brother(literally) company, Abbot Kinney Pizza Co. The prices are steep — $ 5 for a slice. I love the bagel crust though. One slice can normally do the trick. If you do 2 slices, you are probably going to be super full and maybe regret that second slide. Do yourself a favor and get a side of the spicy sauce. It’s bomb. And they should realistically sell it in bottles.

YES. The Salad Pizza is mind blowing. Thin bagel crust topped with fresh crisp greens really works. The Bella Goat with pesto sauce, goat cheese, tomato and portobello mushrooms was to die for. The Neve Bianco which is kind of like a margarita pizza with ricotta was also deelish. I listed the pizzas in order of my favorite to least favorite but they were all really delicious.

Just like a few others have mentioned, NOIDEAWHYTHISPLACEHAS4STARS! Yuck. I can’t believe it made it past 2 stars. It’s basically overpriced TRASH. Maybe it’s better when you eat-in, but I doubt it. I ordered pizza for delivery and had the worst experience. I agree with the other guy… I refuse to spend my money at an establishment that doesn’t value my experience or treat me like a human being. My pizza was STALE. GREASY. GROSSCHEESE. BURNT. And just all around disgusting. The manager told me he saw the pizza go out himself and there was nothing wrong with it, and therefore absolutely nothing he could do about it. He wouldn’t even tell me his name over the phone. Ridiculous. And to whoever is considering ever going to this place or ordering… Save your money and skip this place. You’re not missing out on anything. Trust me!

Man, I love this place. It’s not as cheap as Papa John’s but the pizza is more«gourmet», they offer gluten-free and vegan options, and it tastes fantastic. My first experience was ordering the Buster pizza for delivery. It was so good! For starters the chicken used on my pizza was great quality, like they just freshly shredded a rotisserie chicken(perhaps they did). Definitely no processed or frozen chicken on my pizza. And no funky unidentified chicken parts or gristly bits. The standard crust was great as well. Perfectly cooked, deliciously chewy and good to the last bite the next day. If you’re wearing your fancy pants then you can even choose from a list of specialty crusts like sesame, poppy seed, onion, garlic, and combination. As of today I’ve also tried the Salad pizza(delicious but messy), Neve Bianco and the Caps pizza. All solid choices! Grey Block definitely does deliver(for sure via Eat24 and GrubHub) and I had no issues with my order.
