World Class Service (no exaggeration) and reasonable prices. Comfortable with a friendly and positive atmosphere. As good as it gets in the cigar lounge world.

Dope spot, great layout and even greater furniture. Great accessories and everything is priced fair.
Customers are cool too.
But the selection of cigars is lackluster, unfortunately, and because of that I won’t be coming back.

Appearance: It is hard to describe the theme going on in my opinion nonetheless there is a theme going on and I like it. The place isn’t just a room with seats, shelves, cigars, and smoke. If you look around you will find some cool cigar related memorabilia. You will also notice that the chairs look extremely comfy, and that is because they are.
Aroma: Smells like cigars of course.
Selection: I am from Norcal, so I feel as if our tastes up here may be different, due to the fact the selection took me to a whole new world (not a bad thing but I reached a point where I knew I was far from home). They had a few boutique brands that I would normally never find back home, and a few extra blends from mainstream companies that I wouldn’t find back home (eg. Rocky Patel Prohibition). I don’t like knocking cigar shops down for small (good quality) selections, because running a shop isn’t easy and having a large selection doesn’t necessarily make you better. With that said there selection is small but good.
Price: It may be because of the area, but the cigars are marked up compared to what I usually pay (in East Bay). Noticeable different.
People: This characteristic is very important. What is a shop without good people? For one I’ve seen ladies come up here and have a cigar which is a breath of fresh air. With that said everybody also keeps their cool. Considering I was a guest and I felt welcomed you can say the usuals are cool. I chatted with few locals for the time I was there.
Overall: Probably the best shop in the overall radius of the Promenad (still a very long walk). In my opinion cigar choices could have been slightly better. That is my only real complaint other than that, this place nails it. Another plus is that they are located on a nice strip so there are places where you can go grab a bite, and/​or drink.

Just moved to California and wasnt much of a cigar smoker. I was walking main street in SM and came across this gem and entered for the hell of it.
Right away I was greeted by Greg who made me feel at home, though I didn’t know much about cigars, he gave me a lay of the land and selected one for me to try. It was a great choice. The atmosphere was great, wasn’t packed, comfy seating, latin music playing in the background. It was a great place to sit and unwind after a day. I came back the next day for the same experience. This time met some more people who frequented the shop and had some great conversations.
This will be a usual stop for me throughout the week.

A FINE selection of FINE cigars. Perhaps, as one person pointed out, a little higher than other shops, but this is Santa Monica, and rents are higher. But if you want top notch selection of fresh and perfectly preserved cigars, with attentive help and a nice area to shop in and around, it cannot be beat.
I have been to more refined shops — in Munich, and the airfare is not worth it! LOL. No, seriously, this is a Santa Monica shop: laid back, comfortable, easy going, but underneath the beach façade, a seriously well-​stocked place with courteous and knowledgable staff. If my wife let me smoke more, I would be there more often!

Not a bad little shop, came by to smoke a couple sticks and check their selection out. Not much space but the seats they have are comfortable enough. The guy working was friendly and knew his cigars. Only issue with this shop is it is extraordinary over priced cigars. Maybe their overhead is huge here, I don’t know. Cigars that go for 12 bucks everywhere are 17 dollars here.

Nice selection of mid to upper end sticks, many that I have yet to see at other lounges or shops. Relaxing environment (I’ve only been in early on weekdays and weekends) with comfortable seating for about 12.
Greg is a great host and makes everyone feel as if they’re hanging with longtime friends.

Very friendly and quality cigars. Loved the atmosphere and the owner. He made us feel at home. It was clean, good fresh air with the front and back doors open. Loved our visit here.

Amazing lounge, and even better people. This place has stellar hospitality. Any cigar aficionado should pay this place a visit. I will not be able to pass this place up next time I’m in town. I enjoyed a nice light Rocky Patel Vintage 1999. Excellent smoke.

Simply the best. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Had two cigars recommended by the owner. Great smoke. Great company. Highly recommend.

Half decent selection. Attentive staff, but absolutely insane prices. Like mental institution prices, I paid 21.89 for a 9 – 11 $ at most cigar. Something needs to be addressed because that is unacceptable.

Rated high because the owner and employees are welcoming and guide you to some custom smokes that you normally won’t bump into at most brick and mortar shops.
The seats are comfortable and the company jocular and friendly. I have been introduced to six or seven excellent cigars not found in my usual shops in Chicago and Minneapolis.
Final note, Greg the owner loves cigars and it shows in how he curates his selections and the care he and the staff give to clients. Plus, the view of the sidewalk makes this a perfect spot in cigar unfriendly California to enjoy people watching.

Have been going over 15 years. Greg is a great guy and should be the mayor. Cigars are excellent as well! I think it’s the best spot on the Westside of town! You never know who you will run into either! Always will be a loyal customer!

There’s only just one place you can enjoy your cigars in Santa Monica! It’s a must place! Great cigars selection, accessories, and hosts. Get your motherless goat here. :)

When in Santa Monica on business, this place is an automatic go to for me. Great place to sit down, have a quality smoke with some new friends that you haven’t met yet.
Greg, the owner, has a line of «house» cigars that he is directly involved with producing, and you owe it yourself to give one a try. They are fantastic. Plus he stocks the usual assortment of quality cigars and none of the garbage ones.
You can swing by and pick up some to go, but you really need to have a seat, let the the ocean breeze from the beach blow through the shop and enjoy an amazing hour or two. C’mon, you’ve earned it.

Been to Hollywood Smoke a couple times now and last night sealed the deal for me. Greg the owner is very hospitable and has a great selection of cigars in the humidor, is his selection pricey? Somewhat but you get what you pay for. The lounge is a clean /​nice crowd and there is always some nice eye candy outside!
I’ll be back in the future for sure, and i also won’t have a problem recommending the shop to friends and family as i know they will be taken care of and treated very well at Hollywood Smoke.

This is one of my fave cigar lounges. Located in Santa Monica on Main St. The owner Greg is very nice, friendly and welcoming and so is Devon the manager.
There is a good variety of cigars to choose from and the price is right. One of the very few shops I can find Liga Privada #9; one of my fave full bodied smokes. The restrooms are located in the rear, they are always clean and smell fresh. I’ve met some real cool ppl here. The shop is well ventilated so when the doors are closed you can still breathe.
A great place to come and chill after a stressful work day or after shopping /​dining on the Main St.
Oh, the leather chairs are comfy too.
